Reviews for Capsized

Yep, here I am contradicting myself again. The analogy of of being obsessed with a love interest being li dru drug addiction is so totally accurate. The first two paragraphs of Capsized are so absolutely perfect. You've got some great phrases in this-'and endeavored to become a moving piece of the woodwork' and 'despite the way our non-existent relationship was deteriorating'. I'm not too sure about Ryou's rejection of his friends. They are too wrapped up in their own little lives, true enough, but maybe they just don't know how to help him or what to say. It isn't theiult ult that they'vver ver experienced the depth or complexity of Ryou's situation. 'Though I will never pursue this errant wish, I shall forever wonder where it have led me.' To no good, no doubt. I also liked the part about the times when Bakura's thoughts were clear to Ryou and feeling a bond similar to Yugi and Yami's. It's a strange and euphoric feeling being that close to someone and yet devastating at the to be so far apart. And it is always possible that that is all there is to Bakura. The last seven or eight paragraphs are scary. To keep such a resolution is to sell your soul, although Ryou is right. It takes tremendous strength and self-sacrifice to give everything you are for the one you love and know that you will end up with nothing.

Indeed, perfect is absolutely the right word for this story...

"If they truly don't care about me enough to listen on their own, I'm not going to force them. The act would lose all meaning, for both of us.

That's why I write. I write because there's nobody alive who could possibly understand, who would take time out of his or her busy life to try to understand me, or what I'm going through, and perhaps help somewhat. We are all alone in the world, completely alone, and anyone who believes in friendship and love is certifiably delusional."

-My God, my jaw just hit the floor when I read that part... It wasn't that long ago when i wrote something exactly like this... I thought like that for a looong time, actually I still somewhat do now, you've really captured the emotion and expression in this masterpiece of yours.
I have nothing to complain about in this piece, and it's wonderfully written, the only word to use to describe this _as said before_ is "Perfect".
