This is a very impresive, very delightful and incredibly insightful story. I'm greatly pleased by the way you presented Ryou. I myself am a Catholic, and I do believe that Ryou works beautifully in the setting of faith. You really seemed to understand Ryou's personality on different levels, and you explained yourself, which is something that cannot be said for most fanfiction authors. Even as I'm reviewing I'm still relishing in the pleasant after effect of your words! Ahh! Simply amazing! I'm so very pleased! Please continue! Please! Brava Brava Brava!!

    >[ Ryou bugs me some times... Oh, this was a really great story, and it made sense, meaning I could see this being true, but it still bugs me! XD I'm not a very religious person and I find very religious ppl rather funny, but the Ryou in your story was annoying! XD Sorry, I'm not "upset" or "annoyed" with your story or idea. It was very well written, I really liked the different verses you put in too. I just wish that Ryou would have given in! XD That's what has me all annoyed. Not that I didn't enjoy it! ^_^;; I'm kinda digging a hole for myself, huh? Lol. What I really mean is, Great Story. I just really liked Bakura and the points he made over Ryou's faith, but he does a great job sticking to it! (his faith I mean) Again, great story! Byee!

    Pheeeeeeeeeeewwwwww *whistles in appreciation*

All right, let me start by saying this is only the 16th review I given in two years, so obviously I don't do this a lot.

That was one of the most incredile pieces of literature I've ever read.

I'm fourteen years old, and I am Jewish. However, I believe that religion is as much a part of writing as anything else. In fact, two of my stories are centered around Christianity (though I kind of twist it up). I understand how pieces like this can be misunderstood as prejudice or pro- or anti- whatever, when all it was meant to be was speculation. Furthermore, I, myself, am fascinated with different religions, especially Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

You worked Ryou and Bakura into this very nicely. I especially liked the idea of Ryou having "sold his soul to the devil" when he put on the ring.

    Congradulations, and good job.

I was so impressed with your work that I had to review. Usually I read a story, don't enjoy it, and go on. There are many points in your story that I do love.

    1. The fact that Bakura-sama was NOT nice to Ryou. Some people make them 'love-dovey' and that is NOT how it's supposed to be. Bakura would NEVER be loving to Ryou. -Shakes head- So I love it that he's so cruel.
    2. The constant bold of Bakura's text during Ryou's prayers. It gives more of a...Feeling, as if he was greater or more...significatn than the Lord.
    3. I loved that Bakura discriminated and laughed at God. I laugh with him.
    4. Ryou's pleads. He has such a sweet voice in Japanese. -Giggles-

And finally, your writing. It is lovely, understandable, fluent, and just plain erotic in an odd way. ^^

Over all, this is one of my favorite BakuraxRyou stories.

Thank you for making my night worth while, and please... Contact me? I'd love to 'Role-Play' with you. You seem to know a lot about Bakura and Ryou, and I also love Malik and Mariku...

That was...powerful. And beautifully written. Usually I don't read things that have religious views, but this...was amazing. I actually found myself pitying BAKURA, instead of Ryou...the way Ryou put his faith in something that had yet to save him, when it seemed all Bakura wanted was his attention... hm....beautiful. You wrote this really well. VERY well done!

Oh, this was twisted, I liked it very much. There was a slight dosage of insanity mixed in the plot to me, very nice. Your writing style deserves to be praised, and I salute you for creating this story. I have never looked at Ryou being religious but the role suits him quite well. Thank you for this personality idea! *bows on one knee* Kudos to you. Keep writing. You have huge potential.

I enjoyed this fic a lot - liked the dialog when Ryou was 'praying.' Very thoughtful.

wow, i simply loved this. your voice for bakura was spot-on, which is so rare, and i loved the notion of religious!ryou. it's very plausible, and very well-written; their interactions were brilliant, and i loved the backstory woven in there about ry's mother and everything else. i know you planned this as a one-shot, but if ever you changed your mind and decided to add more to it, i imagine you'd make a lot of people happy!
