Finally I can review this story! I'd found it weeks ago and when I actually went to send a little comment, the ability was already gone...so now I tell you I absolutely ADORE this!!
This story is just wonderful - angsty, original, sexy, emotional, intricate, and most of all, loving. The whole idea of Bakura being tormented by his past so much that only Ryou can keep him in this world is extremely touching. Just the beginning of the story when Ryou tried to bring 'Kura out of his nightmare and then begged to stay with him was enough to make me feel so sorry for the poor bishie. It was very interesting how Bakura kept mulling over his lives, wondering why he had been given a chance to start over and regretting that he had hurt Ryou so much. He seemed to even consider himself unworthy of Ryou's concern at times...
And the way Ryou was hugging/kissing 'Kura in the kitchen really made me melt. So sweet! Of course, it was also lovely how Bakura asked Ryou to make him his, even if it would contain cutting him to destroy the old scars and create new ones that would have an entirely different meaning.
I also enjoyed reading Bakura's thoughts on Ryou and their relationship, or those little pieces of information that were mentioned (for example the sake bit, the fact that Ryou tends to be a perfectionist, his not-so-innocent behavior on some occasions, or the creepy smile thing).
The lemon itself was just perfect, all the aspects of it were so well-balanced. Sorry, I really have no words ^_^
And the epilogue did a great job completing the story. I love that Bakura is free from his old pain and haunting memories so he can dedicate himself to Ryou and get the same from him in turn ^_^
Oh, and before I forget to mention it: writing in the first person is a brilliant idea! You managed to depict Bakura's thoughts and his character beautifully. I think you can be proud of yourself for that, because it's not easy to write in someone's POV all the time (I don't think I could manage that!)
Well, that's it from me. Love this story so much!

As you know already... I love this story! I really appreciate a loving relationship between Ryou and Bakura... I find it a natual thing and you have managed to write them beautifully. Ryou is not the complete innocent - I like your little side descriptions that claim Ryou can be extremely outgoing and horny when drunk! I found that hilarious... but I could picture it! I also LOVED the one-liner about Ryou's creepy smile that had been blamed on Bakura but it was Ryou's own to claim. Little tidbits about Ryou being meticulous in everything he does adds to his character and makes the story more spellbinding. I love how Bakura is the needy one in this story... where he is attached to Ryou and Ryou is his anchor. Ryou claiming Bakura as his own by carving his/their name on Bakura's back is the ulitmate form of love and trust for their relationship. It is just a well balanced, well written piece. Loved it!
