i read this all in one heady rush listening to too much punk and loveing every minute of your fic and the punk....now i have the motherfucker of all headaches but oh well.
i loved every chap of this fic....the way you take Moc and make him his own person while still keeping him in cannon from what he saw of him as a young boy, just wow.
Poor tormented Seto! I hope him and Mockie got together and had teh healing buttsex! *mad giggleing*
really as i said in a diffrent review you do a wonderful tormeted Seto and have a gift working with a personatly that's angst ridden.

Ah, the fates have smiled kindly on Seto it would seem. And, as you so eloquently put it, that fledgling hope can go either way. Being the sucker I am for a happy ending and wishing the best for those who have been convinced by others through acts of ruthlessness that there isn't hope, I would like to believe that Seto would embrace and learn to nurture the hope that he allowed into his heart. Mokuba's tentative touches and whatnot were endearing... A great story over all! I'm really happy that I took a look. Thanks for sharing... : )

A strange chapter? I for one didn't think so! Mokuba handled Seto's confession rather well and in a remarkably grown-up fashion for one of his tender, young age. But, both Kaiba boys had been forced to "growup" way beyond their years way too quickly. I thought it realistic that Mokuba would partially blame himself (right after blaming the bastard who adopted them) for Seto's abuse and for not putting "two and two together" to come up with the answer of why Seto behaved the way that he had during their adoptive father's tyranny and even after the bastard was planted six-feet under. Hindsight and all that can be sort of a damning thing. That Seto felt nothing when Mokuba kissed him was understandable and sort of surprising since Seto had fleeting thoughts about his brother in earlier chapters. However, right at that moment, to be in a position that brought back such horrific memories regardless of the fact that it was an innocent kiss from someone who Seto truly loved with all his heart - at least in a brotherly way - confusion and all manner of contradicting emotions had to have been racing through Seto's head as well as his body. It was a bonding chapter. A chapter that perhaps will lighten Seto's burden since he is no longer carrying the weight of his memories alone. Loved it! One more chapter? Gah! I was late getting onboard! Are you planning a sequel? Nudge, nudge...

Again, I applaud your ability to portray the scarred Seto Kaiba. Having him unable to even react to Mokuba's confession with a strong emotion shows just how "dead" he is inside. Speaking of Mokuba, your portrayal of him is brilliant! Emotionally strong, intelligent, supportive, sensitive to Seto's needs...he's a very well-written and powerful character in his own right. While I look forward to the next chapter, I'm sorry to see this story end and hope for a sequel.

Just finished part 14, I so was not expecting that ending. Please post more soon, I hate cliff hangers. Also I love the fact that you have Seto calling Mokuba Otouto. It gives the scene a more intimate feeling, because I can only recall Seto refering to Mokuba as Otoutos-san once in the anime. Well Done

I'm not too great at giving reviews, but I just wanted to say that I really like this story. And I usually don't like Seto/Mokuba stuff. I think you do a wonderful job of keeping Seto in character. Can't wait to read more!

I just found your fiction today. I'm very glad I took the chance to take a peek because once I started, I couldn't stop! I say "took the chance" because even though Seto Kaiba's character is what got me interested in YGO in the first place, I found that I rarely liked any fanfiction (when I finally discovered fanfiction, that is) written about him. Many authors had him in the classic mold of a hard-ass, unfeeling schlub who cared nothing about anyone or anything except his brother, money, dueling, and his company but then he somehow ended up in love with one of the very people he had always detested and/or barely tolerated. Personally, I could never see that happening. Your story is so well written. It's captivating. I think you captured Seto Kaiba's personality perfectly. He is well-rounded - you did not slam him into that dreaded mold. I think it is believable that he would have feelings for his brother beyond a brotherly love because Mokuba is who and what Seto lives for and who he would protect with his life. The mirror/gun scene was very emotional as well as frightening. We got to see how broken Seto truly is. But we also saw the strong connection between the brothers that is almost like the bond seen in many fictions between the light and the dark halves (Ryou and Bakura for example), where Mokuba sensed "a disturbance in the force" and knew he had to get home - quick. I like how you have portrayed Mokuba as well. He is his own person. He's older now, matured, and is rather level-headed considering all he has going for him as well as against him. I liked your handling of the feelings that Mokuba has started to have towards his older brother. In fact, this last chapter of yours where Mokuba finally reveals those feelings is almost sweet, if it was not for Seto's reaction or non-reaction. I liked how you added for the reader's benefit why Seto didn't like certain... positions... which made his actions even more justifiable. And now Mokuba is learning the truth about Seto's scars - both physical and emotional. Such a web you have woven for we also know of Seto's own feelings for his brother that he has been denying to himself... Love the story! Keep up the good work and look forward to more!

Very, VERY well-written and emotional, and the later chapters are more exciting. I would greatly like to see what happens next, and obviously if anything will happen between the two (hint hint.) I hope you update soon.

Wow, I had just deleted the email for part 8 from one of the old yahoo group lists. Needless to say I'm over joyed to see an update. I like the peacefulness and gentle brother bonding. I hope you will post more soon.

This is an AMAZING piece of work! I always love stories that show Seto's less than stable mental state and you're doing a GREAT job of giving us an example of how far from sanity he actually is. I can't wait for the next chapter! Keep up the good work!
