I thought this was an interesting idea - reminds me a lot of Izumi's background in Zetsuai - but I feel like it needed a little more clarity for the reader. Sometimes when there was a time jump, it was a little hard to tell, or I felt like I didn't quite get what was up. But I think with a bit more detail, so we can see the picture you had in your mind a little better, that this could be pretty awesome. :)
