[Yes, I know, I know, I should be continuing one of my other fics, but this just wouldn't let me be! I think I have a different story or doujinshi lurking in the back of my head or something, inspiring this one. So, what-ever it is, I give it credit for my inspiration!
I promise to ... shit, we all know my promises aren't worth the oxygen used to say them, but I will give it my all to try and either continue Source of Eternal Frustration or Coming out story in the soon foreseeable future! Uni and home-wreckment are sure to get in the way, but I will try!
So enjoy this until I get on with the others! There will be a second chapter soon, (And I MEAN IT!) but that's it. It will hopefully be hot-hot-hot stuff ;)

A Vampire in Church

Jounouchi walked to the large dark-wood church-doors. His windbreaker flapped in the strong autumn wind and he was grateful for the thick shirt he was wearing underneath. He wasn’t sure if what he was planning was a good idea. But he felt like he had to tell someone, even if it was against everything he knew to be right. He had to confess, and who better than to tell someone who truly couldn’t tell anyone else? A priest.

His hand closed around the crucifix he wore around his neck in a red and black rose bead necklace. Fingering the only piece of jewelry left behind by his mother, he summoned his courage and pushed the large wooden door. He both felt and heard the door open as it squeaked on its hinges and slowly, bit by scratching bit opened enough for him to slip inside. As he stepped inside he breathed a sigh and both felt surreally calmed and soothed by the church, yet still carried his nervousness and fear with him. He could almost imagine his mother in here, sitting on one of the benches, telling him of The Virgin Mary and Christianity. See her smiling face as it had looked back then; Young, happy and not burdened by financial trouble and an unhappy marriage.

He focused on the church as it looked today. Boards were nailed over the windows located at the very back of the left wall; the very room itself was dusty and old. But it still regained its charm and magic. The reddish pink, yellow, blue and orange colors that adorned the mosaic-window behind the alter gave the interior a red shade even though it was night and dark outside, and the streetlights brought the figures in the window back to life and cast shadows and contours about the holy room. His eyes sought the cross behind alter as well, and followed its lines as those melted into the lines of the church as they led down the aisle and he looked at all the rows of benches. Some were turned over, fallen or smashed. He observed all of this as he walked slowly forward, calling out in a low voice:

“Father? Father? Father…Father...” His voice moved further into the room.

As he walked past the second pillar a silky voice answered him.

“The Priest isn’t here anymore. He went home already.”

Jounouchi started and his eyes widened as he turned to look at the speaker. The hair was chestnut-brown and silky-looking, the skin pale, the eyes a striking blue color and a suit snugly fit the tall, lean frame that was leaning against the pillar. The tie was loosened and hung down the shirt that was unbuttoned three buttons from the top and the jacket was un-buttoned, hanging down the man’s sides.

There was a pause and he spoke again, sounding slightly smugger and almost like he was entertained by what he said, “What time do you think it is?”

Jounouchi involuntarily closed his hand around his crucifix and gripped it tightly; he barely refrained from taking a step back.

“Se-Seto...” He got out with a hushed breath. As he said it, his hand tightened even more on the crucifix.

The other smirked at the action and chuckled just a bit.

“A crucifix? Crosses won’t work on me. Come on, I’m a vampire living in a church.”

He looked awfully superior as he slowly walked forward and sat himself on one of the intact benches, bringing up one leg across the other. Every single movement looked strong yet glided smoothly like a dancer’s.

“I will congratulate you on your guts though, coming here so late at night,” his eyes glinted. “When you know that I’m here.”

Jou steeled himself inside, trying to control his instinctual fears and stop the minute shaking that had spread. He reminded himself that he didn’t believe all of this crap, the guy was just a fucked up individual, hanging around a church to scare people with his delusions. He swallowed and said in a voice that sounded a lot more confident than he felt.

“Vampires don’t exist, moron. They are imaginary creatures.” He said in a steady voice.

But even as he said it, his hand never left his crucifix.

The other clucked with his tongue and shook his head before he sighed.

“So you believe in God, but not in the Devil?”

Jounouchi gained more confidence as he looked the other man directly into his eyes and his hand loosened just a bit on the crucifix. He said with a bit more actual certainty in his voice, his usual flippant attitude and a steadfast look.

“I know that you’re not a vampire at least”

Seto looked at the blond with a raised eyebrow, almost daring him to explain.

“You say that you’re a vampire, but crosses have no effect on you and you stay in a church for fuck’s sake.” He looked around the room and as his gaze came back, his eyes on the beautiful face. “You never seem to attack people, you just sit there and watch, all calm and stuff, not like a blood-craving monster at all.”

Jou had slowly talked himself up again, his hand having left the crucifix, and he wasn’t nearly as nervous as when he had entered the church. He made a gesture to the seated man and said in a cocky tone,

“I don’t think you’re a real vampire, it’s just some thing you’ve got going, making churchgoers in a poor district nervous, because you think we’re all superstitious idiots.”

He eyed the expensive-looking suit with slight disdain mixed with a well-hidden dose of jealousy and suspicion. But his confident look slowly turned into anxiousness again as a smirk spread on the pale face and Seto leaned forward with his wrists resting limply on his knees, his bangs slightly obscuring his eyes, but his look still trained on Jou’s face.

“Oh?” He sounded amused, “are you willing to test your little theory?”

And then, in a move that Jou hadn’t seen coming or even saw happening, he had suddenly moved on the other side of him, behind Jou in a slide, his arm resting across the shorter mans shoulder. Even as Jou had only begun to realize what had happened and where Seto now was, only as his eyes had started to dilate with surprise, he felt hot breath on the side of his neck and a sudden sting.

Seto’s fangs grew longer as his mouth opened inhumanly wide and he swooped forward, biting down on the enticing tan throat.

Jou’s head snapped back in shock and his eyes stayed dilated as he started shaking slightly, trembling in the other’s grasp, the one arm around his chest being the only thing keeping him standing. He whimpered as he felt the fangs bite down even deeper and the mouth started sucking.

“Aahhh….” He gasped, “damnit...” he whined as he took in several shaky shallow breaths as he almost started hyperventilating, “ It…it hurts...”

Seto’s arm around his chest moved up, cupping his chin and jaw, forcing them to stay up as he sucked greedily, eyes closed in pleasure. As Seto’s expression grew more blissful, Jou’s grew more pained and his face scrunched up as he gathered what remained of his strength and shoved the other away from him. He stumbled away from the vampire and turned to keep his eyes on the other. He kept stepping back and away as he looked from the blood-covered lips to the bloody hand he had just been pressing against his neck. Expressions of disbelief and pain and fear were warring for control on his face. As he looked at the other’s face, noting the shiny eyes and look in them, he was suddenly distracted by a sound of many small things clattering to the floor, with one piece having a metallic sounds. He looked down and saw his crucifix on the floor, the rosary beads rolling away in all directions. The bastard had bit right through it! As he instinctively started reaching down for it, he stopped with a pained gasp, grasping his neck again as pain shot through him and he started panting shallowly with the pain and shock.

“Haa.. haa… haahhh…” Jou couldn’t keep the sound from making his labored breathing more noticeable as he tried to rein in control and taking deeper breaths.

As he looked up again at the vampire he could see his own blood run from the lips down the chin and start dripping onto the floor as the other’s tongue started darting out and licking up what it could reach. A hand brought a finger up, catching most of the blood from the chin and brought it up to Seto’s mouth and he licked the finger clean with a raw, wanting look.

“Mmhh…Surprisingly tasty.” He said with a hungry look that trailed up and down Jou’s body, stopped at his neck and switching focus from the open wound to Jou’s eyes.

Suddenly the revelation struck Jou about what had actually just happened and it dawned on him. His eyes grew even bigger as he took another shaky step back, raising the hand that was not clamping down on his lightly bleeding neck in a defense position. Many thoughts ran though his mind. Would he die now? Would he get eaten? Would he become a vampire himself? Could he escape? Was it even possible to outrun a vampire?

All these scary thoughts were racing around his head as Seto started speaking and Jou flinched in surprise.

“I know what you’re thinking, and don’t worry,” he said with a condescending tone. “All that crap about turning into a vampire if one drinks your blood is nonsense. There’s no magic that turns you or forces you to come back to get sucked again.” There was a perverted undertone in his voice, before it turned cold again. “It’s all stupid superstitions and old-wives tales.” He turned his head to look at the church mosaic before he eyed Jou, “nothing is going to happen to you, beside a little bit of blood-loss.”

Jou felt at the junction where neck and shoulder meets and could feel his shirt, torn in places and soaked in blood and felt both the two wounds from the fangs but also a fine line of pressure marks on his neck from the rosary beads that had been mashed into his skin before they broke. He inched even further back and chanced a look over his shoulder to look at the door. He quickly looked forward again when he felt wind swoosh closely by him, and stared straight into blue eyes that were entirely too close. He started back in surprise as a hand came up and cupped the back of his head and forced him forward and into a kiss that tasted far too much of blood. His own blood! The fangs scraped lightly against his tongue and his libido awakened just enough to observe that even scary vampires can be fantastic kissers before good old-fashioned human terror and survival-instinct kicked in and he pushed the other away.

His fight or flight instinct had taken over, but even he could recognize a lost battle when he saw one. He looked up at the other with a deer-caught-in-the-headlights-expression as he tried to fight against the other arm that had wound itself around his back.

“No, no ,no, no--!” the panic in his voice rose.

“There is no magic or poison in my bite that will force you to come back, but you will” the surety in that voice provoked and scared him like no other and he frantically pushed even harder to get away. Surprisingly he was let go, and could turn around and sprint out of the church.

“You will come back again for more-” The voice followed him out of the door into the streets but disappeared inside the echoing walls of the church as the door closed.

Inside Seto bent down and picked up the fallen crucifix, turning it between his fingers of his right hand. He couldn’t help but admire the piece, it was beautiful. He looked up to the door that had just banged shut, and smirked to himself.

“You will definitely be back...” He said to smugly himself before he kissed the cross, eyes now trained on the door.
