Hello everybody and here is chapter 10! I�m sorry about the
format in chapter 9 too, I tried to fix it but no such luck but you guys still
seemed to like it anyway. Oh and I keep on confusing people by calling Yami
Malik just plain Malik so now I�ll call him Marik so not to confuse you any
further and try to remember that in any of my stories I don�t use just plain
Hikari Malik I only use his Yami, but regardless starting chapter 10 Malik is
now named Marik. Anyway ENJOY!

Ryou walked cautiously inside his apartment, still not sure
if Bakura would be angry with him or not. He was thankful that Seto was with
him, even in Bakura�s worst state he wouldn�t even yell at him with other
people around�except for Marik that is. Bakura wasn�t home though but Ryou shrugged
it off and walked up to his room Seto following slowly behind him. Ryou was
slightly surprised to find Marik sitting upon his bed/
�Marik? What are you doing here?� Ryou asked
�Waiting for you to come home, Bakura felt something wasn�t
right with you two days ago and needless to say when he got home and you where
nowhere to be found he got a little worried about you.� Marik said standing
�He�he was worried?� Ryou asked in slight disbelief
Marik smiled slightly at him. ��He may act like a heartless
bastard Ryou, I should know, but he does care about you as a person not only a
Hikari.� Marik said with a sigh. �Unfortunately that doesn�t mean there won�t
be hell to pay when he and Joey come home.� He said
�Joey?!� Seto said startling Marik who hadn�t noticed him
�Y-yeah, Joey was worried as well�He was the first one we
called when we couldn�t find Ryou. We thought with the two of them dating in
all Joey would know where he was, but he didn�t, and offered to help Bakura
search for him.� Marik said
�Why didn�t you look with him?� Ryou asked
�We thought it best one of us stay here in case you come
home, I volunteered.� Marik said
�I�m not staying though.� Ryou said grabbing a bag.
�Wait a minute where are you going now? And where have you
been?� Marik asked
�I�m going over to Setos place for a while, and that�s where
I was the past few days.� Ryou said simply while he grabbed some clothes
placing them in the bag neatly.
Marik shook his head �I wont stop you or anything but its no
wonder that Joey was so angry with you the other day, and why he thought you
were cheating on him.� Marik said
�I never cheated on him! I never even thought about it! How
the hell do you even know about that?� Ryou asked glaring at Marik
Marik just rolled his eyes. �He asked Bakura if you were
before they left to go search for you. He has a reason for being so
suspicious.� Marik said
Ryou shook his head furiously. Joey was actually helping
Bakura to find him? Why would he care after what he did? Did he want to talk or
something, did he think Ryou wanted to ever see him again because he most
certainly never wanted to lay eyes upon him again much less talk with him. Ryou
swallowed his angry emotions as he looked at Marik and without a single thread
of emotion he spoke.
�You can tell Joey I never want to see him again, tell him
to never come within five feet of me ever again.� Ryou said walking out of his
room past Marik and Seto.
Seto was about to leave himself but Marik grabbed him by the
arm.
�Wait, what happened did they break up or something? Was
that the disturbance Bakura felt? Because Joey was obviously sorry for what
ever he did to Ryou.� Marik said
�What exactly did he tell you?� Seto asked
�He said he and Ryou got into a fight and that he accused
Ryou about cheating on him, with you nonetheless. He said he did and said some
pretty stupid things and he needed to talk to Ryou�and that he was probably
responsible for Ryou running off without a trace too.� Marik said, �What really
happened?� Marik asked
Seto closed his eyes tightly �If I could tell you I would
but�it�s not my place. Will you tell Bakura where Ryou is but do not say
anything to Joey about it?� Seto asked
�Yes.� Marik said releasing his arm and looking at Seto
curiously
�Thank you.� Seto said a rus rushed downstairs to meet Ryou.
�Let�s go.� He said simply as he wrapped an arm around Ryou�s shoulder
protectively.

During the walk home Ryou didn�t say a word, Seto tried to
strike up a conversation with but but to no avail. Ryou was in his own little
world and it didn�t take much now to corrupt his thoughts and hurt him.
This was not to say that Ryou wasn�t strong he was, very strong indeed
actually, but no one has ever violated Ryou like Joey had�and Joey being his
lover made it that much worse. They finally reached the mansion and he lead
Ryou to a spare room and Ryou still stayed silent. Seto didn�t try to make him
talk he was obviously thinking and Seto didn�t find it right to disturb his
thoughts as he put Ryou�s things away.
�Seto?� Ryou asked barely audible.
Smeremerely smiled at him as he sat beside him.
�Have you ever been in love before, besides with me that
is?� Ryou asked
�Yes�but it didn�t work out.� Seto said a bit sadly
�What�s the point then? Why do we put our hearts, the most
fragile part of us, on the line just for love�it�s a mistake.� Ryou said
Seto smiled at Ryou softly �I just say that loving might be
a mistake but it is worth making. Love is the one thing on this earth that is
actually good, that is worth saving and keeping. It�s the best emotion you will
ever possess.�
�But its also the worst pain I have ever felt�he ripped my
innocence away from me but he also ripped my heart. I truly loved him Seto, I
would have willingly given myself to him if he had given me that chance�� Ryou
trailed off
�Ryou�� Seto said embracing him �He doesn�t deserve you, he
never did�I loved you long before he ever did and trust me I would never hurt
you the way he did.� Seto said
Ryou lowered his head and rested it upon Setos chest as he
sighed heavily as Seto held the young boy in his strong arms. Seto softly
kissed Ryou on the forehead and gently rocked him.<

�Why do you think he�s looking for me?� Ryou asked
Seto sighed �He�s probably looking for forgiveness�do you
plan to give it to him?� Seto asked
�I�I don�t know. On one hand I want to put this all behind
me, on the other hand I want him to suffer, like I have. I will forgive him
eventually but probably will be a while before I do.� Ryou said
Seto nodded his head. �Why don�t we go out? Get your mind
off such topics?� Seto suggested.
�I�d like that�but I thought I was supposed to take you
out?� Ryou said with a slight smile.
�Well, I was hoping that we could consider this an actual
date�with us together�would you mind that?� Seto asked
�Not at all�I would love it.� Ryou said smile widening.

I have to go now�Military Ball, I�ll try to update later ;)
