Yeah! Chapter 10 of Love and Pain is here! Huza! I�m sorry
about the format in chapter 9 too, I tried to fix it but no such luck but you
guys still seemed to like it anyway. Oh and I keep on confusing people by
calling Yami Malik just plain Malik so now I�ll call him Marik so not to
confuse you any further and try to remember that in any of my stories I don�t
use just plain Hikari Malik I only use his Yami, but regardless starting
chapter 10 Malik is now named Marik. Anyway ENJOY!

Ryou closed his eyes; Yami had been to late to stop Yugi and
Joey from causing more trouble for him. Now Bakura was royally pissed he
finally gains the trust of the group and it gets thrown in the gutter at the
first sign of trouble, not to mention he hasn�t done anything.
�Answer me Ryou!� Bakura practically screamed
�Stop it Bakura! Its not like he told Yugi and Joey to go
bother you, this wasn�t his fault, they just got this crazy idea into their
head that you were hurting him again. We both know you are not so calm down.�
Marik said moving away from Ryou
�I could care less about Yugi and Joey but Yami I do have a
problem with. I don�t need him breathing down my neck everywhere I turn!�
Bakura said
Ryou looked up at Bakura curiously
�Who told Yami that I was beating you?� Bakura said in a
slightly calmer tone to please Marik.
�I�I told Yami that you hadn�t done anything to me Bakura. I
told him to stop Yugi and Joey so that you wouldn�t get angry.� Ryou said
Ryou slowly went downstairs a small bag thrown over his
shoulder he rolled his eyes at the discarded clothes on the floor as he quietly
made his way out the door. He started to head for the game shop, why was Yami
mad at Bakura? Didn�t Yami believe him when he said that Bakura wasn�t hurting
him? He was angry with Yami but he also understood slightly as he walked in
complete silence the rest of the way to Yami�s house. He knocked gently on the
door and Yugi answered it.
�Ryou? Its 1:00 in the morning! What are you�are you okay?�
Yugi suddenly asked
�I�m fine and I�m sorry for disturbing you at such an
ungodly hour but I really need to speak with Yami, please can I come in?� Ryou
asked
�Sure, are you staying the night?� Yugi asked
�Would you mind?� Ryou said a bit shyly
�No, Yami�s in the guest room asleep, if you need to talk to
him you�ll have to wake him up.� Yugi said shrugging �And Ryou�� Yugi paused
�Yes?� Ryou asked curiously
�I wanted to apologize for not believing you before, I
should have trusted you when you said he wasn�t hurting you.� Yugi said
�It�s okay, he�ll get over it, I just hope Yami will believe
me when I talk to him about it�again.� Ryou said with a slight smile.
�He will and I�m sorry again.� Yugi said as he practically
bounced back up to his room.
Ryou quietly entered the guest room to find Yami asleep. He
sat at the edge of the bed and smiled softly at himself. He sighed looking at
Yami, he looked like such a sweet innocent child when he slept he would have
just stared at him all night but Yami awoke shortly after he sat upon the bed.
�Ryou?� He said rubbing sleep from his eyes. �What are you
doing here? Its really late, are you okay?� Yami asked
�I�m fine�I was wondering why you confronted Bakura about
hitting me�I told you he didn�t but you still confronted him about it. Why?�
Ryou asked
Yami lowered his head �I just don�t want to see you get hurt
is all, I wanted to make sure that Bakura wasn�t hurting you. He acts proud
with anything he does if he was hitting you he would have said so.� Yami said,
�It was easier to find out that way.� Yami said
�So you didn�t believe me?� Ryou asked, �Do you not trust
me?� Ryou asked
�No, Ryou please don�t get mad I�I just wanted to make extra
sure. I-I is sorry. Do you forgive me?� Yami said pulling Ryou into an embrace
as he gently nibbled his earlobe and trailed kissed down his neck.
Ryou shook his head �Yes, just please Yami don�t doubt what
I say.� Ryou said
�You look like you have something more to say.� Yami said
�I�I do, but promise me you will listen and not interrupt
okay?� Ryou said
�All right.� Yami said looking into Ryou�s eyes.

Meanwhile�

Marik stretched underneath Bakura as he slipped out from
underneath him waking him up.
�I would like to sleep in a bed if all possible.� Marik said
walking upstairs.
Bakura followim aim and noticed Ryou was gone.
�Where did Ryou go?� He asked a bit curious
�He left a while ago, I saw him slip out the front door. He
is probably headed to Yami�s. At least maybe he�ll be okay now.� Marik said
�Okay? What was wrong with him?� Bakura asked
�He wanted to tell you but I might as well�it was Yami that
was hurting him.� Marik said
�What!�ura ura yelled as he made a dash fro the door but
Marik stopped him.
�Calm down Bakura! For one you are not going out to Yami�s
naked and for two we can use this information to our advantage. To Ryou�s
knowledge you know nothing, trust me on this one okay?� Marik said
�I don�t really care about our plan Marik why is Yami
hurting him!� Bakura asked
�Oh, don�t worry about that Bakura. Yami accidentally hurts
him the same way you hurt me. Even if Ryou and Yami are happy together I still
plan to get what I want.� Marik said evilly as he grinned at Bakura.
Bakura smiled at him shaking his head. �You are a spoiled
brat, you know that right?� Bakura asked
�Yes, but oh well, I�m more fun that way aren�t I?� Marik
said
Bakura rolled his eyes at him �What did you have in mind?�
