"Savior?" Jou kept his body between his friends and the stranger. Shaddi nodded. "I am the one who is going to get you back to the living world." Yuugi gasped and ran under Jou's arm to the man. Damn him for being so short! "Please.... get us out of here!" He screamed, latching on to the man. His voice sounded like that of an insane man pleading for death.
Shaddi ignored the boy and kept his gaze on Jonouichi. "I am not the one with the power." His gaze made Jou shiver. "Then who does?" Malik glared at the man from behind Jou's shoulder. "You come here saying all these things of getting us out of here, and you can't even do it?" The stranger simply went on staring at Jonouichi. Finally the blond snapped. "What the hell are you looking at!?" Shaddi remained silent. Jou put his arms down and stalked toward the man. "I asked you a question!" He grabbed Shaddi by his cloak, pulling him close, their noses almost touching. "You got a problem with your tongue now?" Shaddi smirked and shook his head. "I would have never tought the power would be in you, Jonouichi Katsuya. What a pity."
Still smirking he pulled Jou's hand off his cloak as easily as he would a child's and stepped back. "You are the one with the power to pull your own souls into the world of the living." Jou was shocked. He was.... All that time, and he could have gotten them home? "What was he supposed to click his heels together or something?" Honda asked, his voice drenched with sarcasm. Shaddi stared at the blond before him quizzically, then realization lit up his eyes. "Oh of course... How could I have forgotten? You have forgotten your own talents." Jou's eyes flashed in anger. "Shut up."
Shaddi threw his head back and laughed. "The second part of the mighty Seto's soul, a nameless fool!" By now he was in hysterics, holding his sides at his joke. Jonouichi balled his hands into fists, his body shaking in rage. "I said shut up." Shaddi kept on laughing. "Oh poor Jonouichi.... It is a shame," instantly the man sobered, all merth gone from his face. "It is a shame since I know all of your past. I know what you were, who you were. Everything."
The blond stared at this man, his mind reeling in shock. No one he had ever met knew anything about him, not even Seto. "Tell me," he pleaded. Shaddi shook his head. "I think not. If you were not able to remember on your own, then you are not worthy enough to know now. But, I who am a virtual stranger to you, know all." Shaddi's eyes were alight with mocking amusement as he stared at the shaking Jou. "Tell me you bastard!" Jou rushed the stranger, but only fell forward when the man turned at the last moment. "Can not even land a hit on me? You really are not worthy."
Tears of frustration welled in Jou's eyes. "Dammit!" he screamed and slammed his fist on the ground. "Perhaps I will tell you....If you prove to me that you are worth the knowledge." Jou slowly got up and turned to his tormentor. "Oh... what would your lover say if he saw you right now? Unable to remember anything about his own heart..."
Those words were what made Jonouichi snap. His body shook as he thought of Seto turning his back on him because he couldn't remember, even when the spell was done A wall in his mind collapsed and memories began flooding. Jou screamed in pain at the rush of knowledge. Alone. Darkness. Fear. Around him he saw the shadow realm, heard the monsters calling to him, searching for him. He had to run! So much danger!
Eyes.... Such kind eyes. A woman stood before him, her face blocked by a bright light, but her eyes shone through like two blue beacons straight into his soul.....
Sun. Laughter. Friends.
Waking up in his school, his home. Meeting Yuugi, Otogi and Honda. Going into the sun for the first time, wondering at its warmth and beauty. 'That's it' a voice called to him. This voice sounded so familiar, a woman's voice. 'Call to it. Bring it to you! Hurry!' Her voice became persisitent, repeating the same things over and over. 'You must hurry! Hurry!' Jou stared down a dark hallway, but he was afraid. He didn't want to be in the dark again. 'You will not stay here,' the woman's voice came to him again, but soft and calm. 'Help me,' Jou pleaded. 'I cannot. This is your test. I will lend as much power as I can.' Jou felt bravery from her words and stepped into the darkness.
But it wasn't dark at all. Blue light shone from the other end of the tunnel, drawing Jou towards it. He knew this feeling. This felt safe and warm.... He felt.... "Seto!" Taking a running leap he ran towards the bright light, smiling in relief. But then he stopped. He was forgetting something.... He couldn't leave here alone. Yuugi... Honda.... Malik. They were depending on him to get them out of there. His eyes bruned with tears, but he turned and left the tunnel as quickly as he had come. He had to get the others out!

Honda stood before his friend, shaking Jonouichi who stared blankly at him. There was no life in his eyes. "What did you do to him!?" Malik screamed at Shaddi, but when he turned, the man was no longer there. "Bastard!" The blond cried, kicking a piece of rubble. Yuugi sat huddled in a corner, his body shaking, and his breaths coming in short gasps. "Yuugi...." Malik went to him and placed a hand on his forehead. His skin was clammy and burning t the touch. "Shit.... Honda, he doesn't look too good." Honda stopped smacking Jou's face and turned to the pair. Yuugi's eyes were sunken in, and black rings formed under them. "Damn.... We have to find a way to get out of here. We were so obsessed with our own fears, we didn't even see what was happening to him." Suddenly there was a cry from Jonouichi and the blond stumbled forward. His face was white and his body trembled.
"I remember.... I remember everything..." His voice shook. "I.... I was born here..... When Seto's heart was ripped in half, the other half was me. I was sent here, where I stayed running in the dark, until she came. I don't know who she is, but she called me to the light." He looked up at Honda and Malik smiling. "I know how to get out of here!"

The next day plans were set into action. Seto was on the phone almost all morning, screaming at the airlines incompitence before slamming his cell phone shut and galring at it. "You know, blowing it up isn't going to help, right?" Seto turned his glare on Yami who only laughed. "Just letting you know." Once more Seto opened his phone, going to plan B.
As much as he hated using it, his private jet was the only thing left. As he heard the ringing he could feel the dread growing. "Mr. Kaiba!" A woman answered the phone, her voice grating on Seto's every nerve. "Hello Mai. I'm sorry to call you so early, but I need the plane."
There was someone speaking in the background on Mai's end, and the woman answered. "Sorry Mr. Kaiba. I had a little company last night." Seto rolled his eyes. Mai Valentine was notorious with the men, but everyone knew it was Seto she was after. And the brunette made sure for years that would never happen. "Right, well I need you today. Cancel all plans you have and get to the airport." And with that he slammed the phone down, already feeling a headache coming on. "Wow, I never thought you would be depserate enough to call Mai." Bakura stood in the doorway smirking. Seto glared at him. "Shut it, Bakura."
Two hours later a limousine pulled into the airport and there standing in front of a large private jet was Mai Valentine. The woman looked ecstatic as she spotted the car, preening her hair and pushing up her large breasts. Seto groaned and let his head fall back against the seat. "You know, it's not too late to cancel," Yami snickered.
The brunette opened one eye. "Shut.....up." The whole car burst into laughter.
Finally they stopped and the driver got out to open the door. Seto was the first one out reaching back in grab Jonouichi's body, tucking the boy close to him. "Good afternoon Mr. Kaiba," Mai drawled in a flirtatious voice. Seto simply nodded. "Good afternoon Mai. You've had the neccessary precautions checked before our flight, correct?" The woman nodded. "Of course sir, but may I ask.... Who is that?" She glared at the boy in Seto's arms and the man smirked. "His name is Jonouichi. He and I are going off to get married." He stepped on to the escalator that brought him to the door of the plane.
On the inside he was roaring with laughter as he set Jou down on a seat, buckling him in. The look on Mai's face was completely worth it. Inside he was laughing hysterically as the rest of the group got on to the plane and Mai stormed past them. Seto sat next to Jonouichi, wrapping an arm around him and pulled the limp body into his own snuggling with him. "Soon, love.... We'll be together again soon."

Finally spent after running from yet another one of the Shadow Realm inhabitants, Jou and the group fell to the ground behind what looked like a plane wreck. "What is with all this stuff?" Yuugi asked leaning against the fuselage. "This realm acts almost like a vacuum to a lot of things that people don't want anymore," Jou informed them looking through a window. "So when are we getting out?" Marik asked hopefully. "Tonight I hope. I've been racking my head for the memories, and I think I remember how to contact that woman. I don't know her name, but I know she's still alive. I can feel her." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
For almost two days they rested, opting to move inside of the plane for better protection. Even with adrenaline pumping through their veins from running and the excitement of being with their lovers again, they all fell asleep. Honda was the first to wake, looking around confusedly. What time was it? He looked at his watch and scowled at the rapidly turning hands. "Stupid other realm," he scoffed. He looked to the others and saw they were all still asleep so he closed his eyes and fell into a deep slumber.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yami and the group on the plane had fallen asleep, the cabin quiet, all for a few movements and rustling of clothing. Little did they know what was happening in the Shadow Realm....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"All right.... Everyone stay quiet. I need to concentrate." The others looked to Jou as he closd his eyes and took a few deep breaths. Sitting on the floor of the plane cabin he relaxed his body and reached out with his mind. Layer by layer the darkness around him peeled away and he was staring at the same tunnel as the other day.
At the end was that bright light and he could sense Seto just beyond it. But, as tempting as it was to jump through it, he had to get the others out. 'Hello? Are you there?' His voice echoed around him, repeating the same question ominously. He tried again, this time speaking a little louder. 'Hello!?' Finally something moved in the shadows. Jumping Jou turned to find the same woman from his memories standing before him. "I-it's you!" The woman smiled kindly and nodded. "Yes. And I see you are back right where I found you." She chuckled and shook her head. "What are we going to do with you?" Jou blushed and snickered. "Yeah, well at least I'm not alone this time. I have three others with me. We were kind of kidnapped and our souls were sent here by our principal." The woman gave a look of concern and amusement. "Your principal?" Jou nodded. "Yeah.... He's a real cupcake, huh?"
The woman cracked up laughing holding her sides. The blond laughed with her for a few minutes until they both calmed down wiping the tears from their eyes. "You have changed since I saw you last. Have you gotten a name since then?" Jou nodded. "Yeah. My name is Jonouichi Katsuya. But, everyone just calls me Jou. Can I ask your name?" The woman smiled, her blue eyes shining merrily. "My name is Ishizu Ishtar."
At that name Jou almost faltered. "Ishtar!? You mean like Marik and Malik?" Ishizu's eyes widened. "You know of my relatives? They are my ancestors. How would you know of them?" Jou laughed nervously. "Ummm... I kind of know them both... Marik is actually here." Ishizu gasped. "Oh my! Has he been trapped for all these thousands of years?" Jonouichi shook his head. "No.... He actually goes to school with me." After a confused look fromt he woman Jou put his hands up. "We'll leave this for the day when we can meet for real... But, in the mean time, would you be able to help us get out of here?" Ishizu nodded her face blank. "Yes." She held her hand out. "Take my hand." Jou backed away a bit. "What about the others?" She smiled. "They will follow, trust me. I have already locked on to their signatures. Now, Jonouichi. Take my hand."
Without further hesitation Jou took the woman's hand. Instantly he felt a strange pulling sensation from the middle of his stomach and he felt nauscious. Closing his eyes he tried to get a handle on his stomach before he puked, but almost as quickly as it started the feeling stopped. Blinking Jou looked around and found himself once again in the cabin of a quiet plane. "What the...." Around him were his friends all looking pale and sick to their stomachs.
Suddenly Yuugi let out an excited scream and ran to one of the seats. "YAMI!!" Jou glanced at where Yuugi's lover sat asleep and almost fell. In the pharao's arms rested the lifeless body of Yuugi. Yuugi's eyes widened and he shook his head. "What is this? I... I thought we were supposed to be returned to our bodies?" Marik sat next to Malik, trying to hold his lover but he passed through him every time. Jou saw Seto not too far away from him, his arm curled around his body's shoulders.
With tear filled eyes he walked to his lover's side and brushed his fingers across his smooth cheek, but it felt like he was touching air. With a sob he fell to the floor, studying the sleeping face of his heart and soul. "Seto.... Please wake up and look at me. I've been waiting for this.... Please." he sobbed clutching his own hands in death grips.
"Yuugi?" A voice called and the boys turned.

Ryou sat in his room with Bakura next to him. They lay in the large silk covered bed. The silence between them was comfortable. They had their eyes closed when suddenly something caught his attention. The air in the room seemed to get thicker and the emotion barraged his mind like needles. He gasped and held his head, almost falling from the bed. Bakura shot up and looked around, looking for danger. "RYou!?" he cried. "What's wrong?" The small boy sobbed, his heart feeling as if it were being ripped in two. Such sadness and sorrow. Mixed in the emotions was something he recognized. "Yuugi!" he shouted suddenly and then the room around him was gone.
He stood in the cabin of the plane, staring wide eyes at Yuugi, Jonouichi, Marik and Honda sobbing next to their darks. "Yuugi?" All five of them gasped and turned to him. A watery smile broke out on Yuugi's face and he ran to his friend, jumping into his arms. "Ryou!" he sobbed. The albino boy stared shocked at his friend, then turned his eyes to the others. "Wha-how..... How did this happen?" Marik walked over to him and reached out suddenly, pinching the white haired boy. "Ouch! What was that for?" The dark skinned boy laughed once before crying out and hugging Ryou to him. "You can see us! Thank the gods!" Ryou stared at them incredulously for a few minutes before he broke into a large smile and all six of them stood in a circle hugging one another and crying.
When they finally broke apart Yuugi cocked his head. "Wait... If you can see us, then that means that you're just a soul, right?" Ryou nodded. "Yes."
"Then... Why weren't you in the Shadow Realm with us?" At this moment Bakura shot up from his seat, his eyes wide. "Ryou! Seto, wake up! I can't sense Ryou! He's gone!" The entire plane woke up at that and they all stared from Seto to Bakura. Ryou sighed. "I'll be right back." And with that the boy disappeared to reappear in his room. ~Bakura, please calm down... I'm still here.~ The older albino reappeared and tried to grab Ryou, but his arms went through his lover. "Don't scare me like that! You suddenly start to freak out, then you disappear completely from my mind! You scared me..." Ryou smiled. "I'm sorry, but I had to leave. I have some incredible news.... Yuugi, Malik, Honda and Jonouichi are here with us at this very moment." Bakura gave the boy a sad smile. "I know. We have their bodies back."
Ryou shook his head giggling. "No! Their souls are here, on the plane! They made it out of the shadow realm!" Bakura's face went blank then he gave a loud cry and jumped. "Are you sure?" The smaller boy nodded. "Now, I'm going to leave you to speak to them. Apparently no one else can see nor hear them..." Ryou popped up in front of his bewildered friends. "What the hell?" Honda cried. Ryou laughed. "It was the spell Seto did! It worked! Bakura and I are now one person." Yuugi smiled. "So that means... We're on our way to defeating Pegasus!"
The albino boy nodded. It was then they heard a cry and Malik ran around the cabin calling Marik's name. "Marik! Baby, where are you!? Talk to me!" Marik sighed and shook his head. "That lover of mine has never been the smartest one..." They all shared a laugh at the dark's expence. "Wait," Ryou tapped his chin in thought. "Since you're here, and your bodies are there.... Does that mean you can just jump in and take back over?" Jou smiled and ran to his body where he all but threw himself at his still form, but he simply went through the body. With a defeated sigh the blond walked over. "Nope... Not gonna work."
"Well," Honda grunted. "It was worth a try."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The plane ride to Egypt was a far more pleasant one now that the group knew that their lights were with them. It gave them a reason to look forward to the future. "What if we were to do that binding spell, only with their bodies instead of our own?" Malik asked. The group was riding in a private limousine through the bustling streets, attracting a fair amount of attention.
"No," Seto said shaking his head. "That spell is meant for those with a corporeal body, not just a soul. It would literally tear them apart and we would lose them forever."
Silence permeated the cabin once more, but on the unseen level Jonouichi was fuming. "What the fuck!?" he screamed, trying to pick something up to throw it, but his hands passed through it, getting him more riled up. "Jou, easy there buddy." Tristan squeezed his shoulder affectionately and it seemed to work. "I'm sorry... I just don't know what to do...." then he gasped. "Maybe Ishizu can help!" He then ran up to Bakura screaming in his ear but the boy didn't even flinch. "Damnit!! How the hell are we supposed to talk to Ryou?"
"By asking." Ryou's voice startled them all and the small group jumped.
"Don't do that!" Yuugi complained holding his chest. Ryou giggled. "Sorry. I couldn't help hear you." He gave Jou a pointed look and the blond blushed looking down. "Now, what would you like me to convey?"
"We need to see someone named Ishizu," Honda stated before Jou could open his mouth earning the brunette a glare. Ryou nodded and disappeared. Seconds later Bakura stiffened in his seat and looked over to Malik. "Hey, umm... We got some news from the others." All the 'living' in the cabin turned to the albino boy. "We have to go and see... Ishizu." Malik stopped and stared at his friend. "Did you just say.... Ishizu?" Bakura nodded sheepishly.
The blond groaned and slumped in his seat. "Great..... I really wasn't looking forward to going back to those damned tombs." Yuugi looked to Marik questioningly. "You already know Ishizu?" The tan boy nodded. "Yeah... We've been in contact with her for the past three years, ever since we found out that our family was still gaurding the tombs." The group nodded in understanding, and the rest of the plane ride was spent in silence.
Hours later the plane landed gracefully on the airstrip of Cairo. Yuugi and Jou stared out the window in awe at the scenery. They'de never been out of Domino, yet out of their contry! Together they babbled excitedly about everything they saw as the plane came to a halt, making Marik and Honda forget their situation. Finally they were able to move and the door opened.
Slowly the lights followed their darks, wishing they could at least touch them. A warm, fragrant breeze hit them from the open door and the lights smiled. Marik sighed and stretched. "Man that wind feels good! It still smells the same!" Honda agreed happily, closing his eyes as the breeze washed over their faces once again. "It tastes like spices!" Yuugi squeaked sticking his tongue into the wind again. The other three laughed.
Talking they followed their lovers through the empty airstrip to a waiting car. A tall, tan man stood at the open door, bowing when Seto approached him. "Welcome back, Mr. Kaiba and company." The darks nodded their heads in acknowledgement, but Seto's hand shot out as the man went to close the door. "I'll get it," he said icily. The cheauffer gulped and nodded backing away. He turned his eyes to Bakura who nodded and he shut the door. "To the hotel, sir?" the driver asked and Seto simply nodded.
Yuugi and Jou sat next to their lovers, trying to stay still, but every five minutes their gazes shifted to the windows watching the scenery. Marik and Honda passed the time by pointing out some of the sights as they drove through the streets, attracting some attention. The limousine pulled to a stop in front of a very large and gaudy hotel. "Let me guess," Jou said dryly. "Seto owns this building too?" Marik and Honda laughed and nodded. "How did you know?" The blond pointed at the large awning reading 'The Blue Dragon', with a Blue Eyes Dragon as the mascott.
The darks left the car, leaving Bakura to shut the door a few minutes after they had left and the black limo pulled away into the traffic. Seto, Yami, Malik and Otogi caught some attention carrying their lovers, but they didn't seem to care. As soon as Seto walked in the hotel came to a stop and it seemed as if all of the bellhops and staff wanted to get near him. "Welcome back, Mr. Kaiba!" A dark haired woman chirped, her blue eyes shining merrily. "Who's that?" Jou asked Marik. "That's Tea," he sneered. "I never liked her. She's too bubbly and nice. It's not normal." A second later the teenager was speaking in a bubbly tone, giggling at her own jokes, which were not funny. Seto simply scowled at her, but she either didn't notice or chose to ignore it as she ushered them to the elevator. "Please enjoy your stay, Mr. Kaiba and company!" She added a cheery wave as the doors closed.
"My god she doesn't shut up, does she?" Jou retorted, making those that could hear him laugh. The doors finally opened after a good ten minutes and the noncorporeal group were in awe. The elevator opened directly into a huge suite. The floors were a white polished marble, with a blue eyes mosaic in the middle of the room. Littered around the room were sofas and chairs that looked heavenly to just plop into and relax your cares away.
The curtains before the large wide windows were a deep blood red, which accented the room perfectly and allowed just the right amount of sunlight through. Next to a large dark grand piano was a winding staircase, the marble covered with a royal looking red carpet, the banister a dark pine wood. "Whoa..." Yuugi and Jou gasped at the same time, their voices echoing. They watched their darks place their bodies on different pieces of furniture and look around the room. "Hasn't changed at all, huh?" Malik asked lightly. Seto simply grunted and sat next to Jou's body. Jonouchi made his way to Seto, sitting next to him. "I'm here," he whispered sadly, placing a hand on Seto's cheek, knowing he couldn't feel it. "I say we get some rest," Yami suggested, yawning dramatically. Even though the sun was at midpoint in the sky, the group was exhausted. Picking up their lover's bodies, the darks ventured upstairs. As soon as they were situated in their rooms, wrapped around their lover's bodies they fell asleep.
But it was Yami who recieved an unexpected visit that night....
