Chapter 14 Joey groaned as he slowly came back into consciousness, feeling his head throb slightly and his eyes slowly open. When his vision became clear, the room he found himself in was dark, the only light in the room streaming from a dirty window. He looked around slightly, trying to figure out where he was, remembering what had happened before he had passed out. He found that he had been tied up, his arms above his head with his wrists tied together with chains but found his legs weren't tied down. As he looked to his left and right, finding that the others were still unconscious and tied up just like himself. When he had finished looking for a way out, Joey sighed and looked up at his wrists. He saw that the bindings were tight and chafed slightly against the skin of his wrists. He had a bad feeling about this situation, old memories flashing through his mind before he shook his head. Focus Joey! You have to get out of here with the others before anything bad happens. With that thought in mind, he tried to think of a way to get out of the chains, and as he was just about to make a move, the door opened and he watched two men come into the room. ~ Meanwhile~ All the Yami's were in the car, worried and some of them losing their tempers. The Kaiba brothers had been snapping at the driver to speed up and not care about the lights, Akefia, Bakura and Marik were quietly discussing what they were going to do once they got their hands on the people that kidnapped the Hikari's. But the most terrifying presence in the car, were Atemu's and Yami's. They sat in silence, which usually was not a good sign, especially when they were furious, the others having learned that the silence mean't that the anger was slowly building inside of one of the Sennen twin's, but when both were angry and went silent, that's when no one should ever cross them or even try to talk with them until they calmed down. It wasn't long until they finally arrived at the warehouse, everyone in the car going quiet as the car pulled up to the front. At the door, they could see two men in black suits standing at the door guarding it. When the car stopped, the driver got out and opened the door for them. The Kaiba's got out first, then Akefia and Bakura, then Mark, and finally Atemu and Yami. As the driver shut the door behind them, the warehouse door opened and a man came out, his hands behind his back. "Welcome, Mr. Pegasus has been expecting your arrival. Please, follow me." He said before turning and walking back through the door, the others not far behind. They walked down a hallway with only a few doors, some rusted and others not even there anymore. Finally, the man stopped at a door at the end of the hallway and knocked. When they heard a muffled "Enter", the man opened the door and stepped back to let them in first. The Kaiba's went in first before the others followed behind them, coming into a metal room with a glass window with controls under it. Akefia, Bakura and Marik growled when they saw Pegasus standing in front of the glass, the only thing stopping them from attacking was Seth and Seto in front of them. After a moment, Pegasus turned towards them with a smirk on his face. "Ah, well, if it isn't the leaders of Kaiba corp., welcome to my warehouse, I hope the drive here wasn't too much trouble." He said mockingly, making Seth's eyes narrow and glare at Pegasus. "Cut the crap, Pegasus, just give us our Hikari's already." He hissed, the others grunting or nodding in agreement. Pegasus's smirk seemed to grow at Seth's statement and shook his head slight. "Aww, but that would ruin everything I had set up here." He said before nodding to the man that led them there and the man stepped forward to the controls. The man flipped a few switches before pulling a lever, a room they hadn't noticed before being lit up by spot lights, making all the Yami's eyes go wide. ~ Joey had glared at the three guards by the only door in the room, daring them to even try to get closer to him and the others. Yugi, Malik, and Ryou had woken up when those three came in and all of them had been gagged to keep quiet. He could see Ryou and Yugi were scared, and it took both Joey and Malik to calm them both down, trying to make soothing noises to them through their gags. Yugi and Ryou had calmed down slightly and were now just silently crying, both of them trembling enough that the chains on their wrists rattled softly. All of them heard voices and a muffled conversation before suddenly, a bright light shined down on them. Joey blinked and his eyes adjusted quickly to the light, seeing people behind a glass wall. He froze at the sight, his eyes widening at seeing the familiar people in the other room. He felt his heart thumping in his chest, memories from his past flashing before his eyes as he saw the two people he had been trying to avoid. He couldn't tear his eyes away from those two sets of ice blue eyes, feeling his heart cry out to them who he still loved. But then he remembered about Yugi, Ryou, and Malik and he looked over at them to see their reactions. It didn't look good. ~ Ryou was confused, one minute he had woken up in almost total darkness, being gagged by complete strangers, and then it was bright. He blinked, his eyes trying to get used to the light, having to shut his eyes for a moment and then slowly opening them, his vision blurry at first before focusing. The first thing he noticed was that he was tied up and could barely move his arms, and then he saw he was being watched by people behind a glass wall. He almost started crying again, looking at all the strangers faces, before he saw two pairs of dark brown eyes that had him staring. He knew these two men, and as he looked over them, his mind was going through his memories of anyone he had met, and then a dream came back to him. The very first one he had ever had that he could never remember. Dakarai was panting for breath as he had finally stopped running. He had finally done it, he had escaped from that terrible place. He almost cried for joy as he walked down the streets, feeling truly free for the first time in his life. There was just one problem, would he be able to keep away from him? He shuddered at the thought, but kept moving just in case. He found a place he could stay in and curled up there to rest. The next few days, he had been working in the market, hearing everyone talking about the Pharaoh and his council coming to visit the village. He had heard good things about the Pharaoh, and he knew it would be an honor if either the Ruler or one of his council bought something from his boss's cart. When the time came, he was all ready, having done everything his boss told him to do, even making sure that all the fruits on the cart were ripe and none were bruised. As the Pharaoh and the council came, he bowed with everyone else, only rising when they were told to. He kept his head down like his master had told him too, but couldn't stop himself from taking a look. And that is when he saw them. His breath caught in his throat at the sight of two tall, tan skinned men, both with features like his own, but their white hair was wilder and their dark eyes were sharp, nothing like his chocolate doe eyes. He saw them look at him, identical smirks lighting on their faces, and he saw one of them with a scar over his eye even wink at him, before Dakarai blushed and looked back down. He kept his eyes down as he heard his boss sputter and welcome whoever had come up to the cart. When he didn't hear footsteps leaving or the boss being paid for fruit, he looked up and almost jumped when he saw the same two men looking at him still smirking. He blushed and the one with the scar chuckled before holding out his hand to Dakarai. "Hey there gorgeous, I'm Akefia and that's Bakura, what's your name?" As he stared at the two men now, he felt his memories of them come back, tears flooding his eyes and rolling down his cheeks. ~ Malik wasn't scared, but he was sure as hell pissed, especially since Ryou and Yugi were upset about being there. When the light suddenly shined on them, he had been quick enough to close his eyes so he could adjust faster. When he opened them, he saw the men in the other room and narrowed his eyes, and if he hadn't been gagged, he would have cursed all of them out in English and then in Egyptian. What surprised him most was the guy he had seen at the club standing in the other room, looking shocked. He couldn't understand it, but he felt drawn to this person and wondered about something. He closed his eyes trying to remember...... Something..... Anything from his own past that could place where this man came from. A young Malik woke up screaming, calling out to his siblings. A bang from the door and the light was turned on, his older brother Rishid rushing in to comfort his brother. "Shh, it's alright, Malik, it's alright. Another bad dream?" At Malik's nod, Rishid sighed and looked up towards the door, smiling at Ishizu. "Go back to bed, Ishizu, I got this." He said and once Ishizu left, closing the door behind her, he turned to Malik. "Now, tell me what the dream was about. Malik sniffed and then nodded. "Well, there's this man, his name is Mariku, and he always seems to be there to protect me, but all of a sudden, he starts to walk away, and I can't go with him. Then, all these shadow creatures attack me and I try to call for him, but I can't." He sobbed, hugging his older brother and burying his face in Rishid's chest. Rishid sighed and smiled slightly. "It's ok, Malik, don't worry, it's just a dream. Big brother is going to help get rid of those nightmares. Now, close your eyes and lay back down." He did and as if he was watching from somewhere else, he watched Rishid put a hand on his forehead and saw something pass through his hand into young Malik's mind. When he was finished, Rishid left the room, finding Ishizu still up and waiting for him. Malik watched as his brother sighed, slumping against the walk next to Ishizu. "It's only going to get worse, Rishid." "I know, but I can't just sit back and watch my brother have nightmares over someone who can't be with him." "What will happen when they get together, hmm? He won't even remember Marik." Rishid sighed and looked at his sister. "Don't worry, when the time comes, he'll remember on his own. I won't fail Nemu this time, even if it means giving my own life to do it." Malik opened his eyes and looked straight at Marik, shocked to find that this was the man that had been plaguing his dreams for years. ~ Yugi looked around nervously, seeing the people behind the glass and the three others in the room. He had noticed the men who looked like him and the other that looked like two of his friends, but he was more worried about what was going to happen to them. As if to break them out of a trance, someone talked into the microphone, startling the Hikari's. "Well, why don't we let the fun begin. Gentlemen, if you please." The person with silver hair said over the speakers. Suddenly, two of the guards in the room walked over to the Hikari's, Yugi and Ryou cringing away while Malik and Joey glared. Again, the mic came on. "Now, who should go first?" ~~~~~ Dun, dun, dun!!!!!! Cliffhanger :3, will update soon.
