Chapter 15
In the last chapter~
Suddenly, two of the guards in the room walked over to the Hikari's, Yugi and Ryou cringing away while Malik and Joey glared. Again, the mic came on. "Now, who should go first?"

To say that the rest of the Yami's had been shocked when they saw their Hikari's along with the Kaiba's Hikari, would have been an understatement. The others had been angry because they were thinking of how they would feel if their own Hikari's had been kidnapped. Also, Akefia, Bakura and Marik had been itching for a fight and were eager for it. But now that they saw the others, all of them froze. Almost at the same time, it would seem that the ice around the Yami's hearts that had stayed over the years was slowly thawing.
At Pegasus's words, Akefia snapped and stalked over to Pegasus, about to punch him but the others held him back. "Say that again and I'll rip out your vocal cords!" He growled, struggling against the hands that held him back. Pegasus smirked and motioned to one of the guards in the room. A big burly man with red slicked back hair, walked behind Ryou, pulling out a knife from his jacket. He grabbed Ryou's hair, pulling his head back to expose his throat and holding the knife against it. Ryou froze, a choked sob coming through the gag. Akefia and Bakura froze, seeing their Hikari's life being threatened.
"Now that I have your attention, shall we play a game?" Pegasus said, looking at each of the Yami's before turning and motioning to the controls. "One of these levers or switches will release a Hikari, all you have to do it is choose one and if you guess correctly, a Hikari will be released. But, here is the tricky part. In order to choose, you must answer a riddle correctly. For each riddle you get wrong, I have told my men to cut off one piece of clothing. If you get too many wrong, well, let's just say they won't be cutting off any clothes. A demonstration perhaps?" Before anyone could say anything, Pegasus nodded and the red haired man pulled up Ryou's shirt and with a quick movement, an inch long cut appeared on his stomach.
Ryou screamed through his gag, jerking in his bonds and tears falling from his eyes. "NO!!! GET AWAY FROM HIM!!!!!!!" Akefia and Bakura shouted simultaneously, the others now having to hold back two distressed Yami's. Marik and Seth grunted as they tried to hold Bakura and Akefia back, Yami stepping in front of them and putting a hand on each of their shoulders. "Bakura, Akefia, calm down! This isn't going to help get your Hikari back. If we do anything rash, they might do something to him and we might be too late. We'll play his game and we will not lose, alright?" He said, seeing Akefia and Bakura slump in Seth and Marik's hold, looking towards Ryou with worried eyes.
Atemu relaxed and then stepped forward, glaring at Pegasus. "Alright, you've made your point. We agree to play your game." He said, worried for his own Hikari and not wanting him to be hurt. Pegasus smiled and rubbed his hands together in excitement. "Wonderful, then let's get started." He said, switching the mic on. "Alright, Hikari's, your precious Yami's have agreed, so let's get the game started shall we? Hotep, please take off Yugi's gag, we'll start with him."

Yugi's heart nearly stopped when the man with the silver hair told one of the goons to take off his gag. The one called Hotep, stepped over to him and used a knife to cut off Yugi's gag. He took in a deep breath and tried to keep calm, and looked up when he saw the two with the crimson eyes step forward. He still wondered who they were, but right now he was more scared about what was going to happen in this "game".
The silver haired man stepped up to the mike and smiled. "Alright, Atemu, Yami, here is your first riddle: The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?" Atemu and Yami only had to think for a few moments before smirking. "A coffin." They said. Pegasus nodded. "Correct." He said before stepping aside. Atemu stepped forward, looking at each of the levers and switches, before deciding on a red lever to his left and pulled it down. It was quiet for a moment and then a muffled scream made all of them look towards the other Hikari's. Ryou and Joey were looking up, trying to say something through their gags, but Malik, who was now a few feet off the ground, was thrashing and screaming through his gag.
Pegasus smiled and chuckled. "Well, I guess that wasn't the one, now was it?" He said before marking the lever and flipping it back the other way. Marik's stomach dropped as his Hikari dropped back and jerked to a stop with his feet resting on the ground. Malik's heart was thundering in his chest and he looked up, seeing Marik and nodding to the man that he was alright, even thought he hardly knew the man.

The game went on like this, except Joey's shirt had been cut off, Malik only left in his underwear, while Yugi and Ryou were still clothed, but shaking from the everything that had happened when they pulled a switch or lever. Seth and Seto were next, stepping forward and staring at Joey, who was trying to not to look at his Yami's. "What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a head but never weeps, has a bed but never sleeps?" Seth looked at his brother before looking at his Hikari again, wanting so much to have him in their arms again. After a moment, he nodded to Seto to give their answer. "A river." It was quiet for a moment, before Pegasus nodded. "Correct, now choose." He said as the Kaiba's stepped up to the panel, looking at all the ones everyone had tried and after a moment, they both chose a lever on the end and pulled it down.
It became eerily quiet for two minutes, and then the chains around Joey's wrists unfurled and he collapsed to the ground. Pegasus nodded and one of the guards pulled Joey up before walking with him to the door. Pegasus opened it and the guards pushed Joey inside, making him stumble slightly. Seth and Seto immediately went over to Joey, pulling him away from Pegasus, Joey blushing at the close proximity of the two.
Suddenly, it seemed like they were the only three people in the room. Seth and Seto looked their Hikari over to check and see if he was ok, before Seth hesitantly cradled Joey's face in his head, tilting his face to look at him, his blues eyes filled with worried. "Do you...... Remember us?" He asked softly, Seth and Seto hoping that he did. Joey looked at both of them before nodding slightly, blushing. "I would have known you two anywhere." He said softly, blushing slightly in embarrassment at seeing his Yami's faces light up in joy. They both hugged him close, wanting to be near their Hikari and silently promising to never let him go ever again.

The other Yami's smiled slightly at the sight of the Kaiba brothers finally reunited with their Hikari and saw Pegasus put a different colored mark on the lever that freed the Hikari. Pegasus then turned and smiled at the other Yami's. "So, who's next?" He asked, looking at each of the Yami's before Marik stepped forward, the others whispering for him to take his time on the riddle. When Marik nodded he was ready, Pegasus smiled and looked down at a paper he had written the riddle on. "I am the black child of a white father, a wingless bird, flying even to the clouds of heaven. I give birth to tears of mourning in pupils that meet me, even though there is no cause for grief, and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air. What am I?"
