Chapter
17: Going Home

As I entered the room I was greeted by a nurse, she
beamed at me, but I were still sceptical towards any employees of Pegasus�

�You must be Mister Seto Kaiba� She said, still
beaming.

I nodded... she didn�t seem so hostile.

�We�ve been expecting you� she said and pointed at the
bed were Mokuba lied.

�Mokuba!�
I went over to him. I noticed that he was asleep.

�How long has he been sleeping?� I asked her.
She looked at the clock at first then she looked at
me.

�He fell asleep about ten minutes ago� I sat down on
the chair next to the bed, Mokuba looked like he had a
small fever. I put my hand on his forehead.

�Yes, he�s got a small cold� She answered before I
even could speak up. �I�ve given him some aspirin for the fever. The silver-haired
boy told me that... Mokuba was it right?...� I nodded
�... had been closed up in the dungeons so I�m not surprised that he got a
cold, but I�m astonished that Mister Crawford would lock up a small child like
that!�

I couldn�t agree with her more... But now we�re going
home. I took up the notebook and scribbled down a little �want to move in� note
that I would give to Ryou later on.

I got up on my feet and took of my blue trench coat
and wrapped it around Mokuba as I lifted him up in my arms.

�Mister Kaiba! You can�t take Mokuba out of here until
his fever runs down!�

�No offence, but we have better medical support back
at our mansion then here� I said as I started to walk towards the door.

�None taken� she snorted as I left.

As I walked down the corridor I easily found the way
out. Then of to find the helicopter and Ryou...

�Kaiba-sweetie!!!�
I sighed, why does he always find
me...? I turned to face Yugi, his cheerleaders and Ryou.

�What?� I asked impatiently as the group closed in.

�You�re back! I was worried when Pegasus ran away
after he lost our duel!� Yugi chirped then he saw Mokuba and his smile faded
away �Didn�t he...?�

I cut him off, �He got his soul back, if that�s what you�re referring to� I snapped �He just got a
cold�

Yugi mouthed a small �oh!� as the word hit him �Is he
going to be okay?�

�Yes, he�s
going to be okay� I said impatiently, not caring if I sounded harsh.

�Okay!� Yugi chirped not even noticing the tone I used
against him. But then again the Jonouchi-mutt noticed.

�Hey you jerk! You shouldn�t sound so ungrateful
against Yugi since he got your and Mokuba�s souls back!� He barked at me.

I snorted �Oh, I�m so sorry! Were are my manners! Thank you, thank you oh noble Yugi for
saving me!� Every word dripping with both sarcasm and poison
�There! Happy?!� He just stared at me.

Even though Yugi took my words a bit too serious as he
blushed and stuttered a weakly �You�re welcome...��

Then I felt a faint thug at my shirt and looked down
at Mokuba who had waked up.

�Nii-sama... let me down...� he asked softly, eyes
sparkling with fever.
I did what he asked and when he tried to give me back
my trench coat, I once again wrapped it around him, just to make sure he
wouldn�t freeze. And in the meanwhile, the mutt Jonouchi did a long rant about
something insignificant and irrelevant to me so I didn�t listen much.

�Yeah, Yeah, whatever you say loser� I said.

�What did you call me?!!!� The mutt snapped

�So you�re more then stupid then, you�re deaf too!�

Then he really snapped, he even tried to hit me, but
then Honda stopped him before his attempt.

�Loser...� I snorted.

�Duel me and we�ll really see who�s the loser!!!� the
mutt spat.

�No thank you, I already know that you�re going to
lose� I said.

Honda, Yugi and Anzu tried to calm the mutt down,
which the of course they didn�t, �cause when the mutt get upset you can�t calm
him.

Mokuba started to cough real badly so I decided it was
time for our sortie so we started to walk but Jonouchi got out of Honda�s grip
and jumped in front of us.

�You�re just scared because I�m gonna
kick your ass!� the mutt thinks he got some balls.

�No. I�m not scared of you, because who is afraid of a
little barking Chihuahua?
So out of my way loser!� I said and pushed the mutt to
the side with one arm and then I walked, unnoticeable against Ryou with Mokuba
at my heals and �accidentally�
bumped my shoulder against his.

�Sorry� And with that he got the note.

�Call me a loser again and I kill you!!!� He roared
after me.

I stopped and turned my head towards him �Hey loser,
your little attempts of sounding threatening is more dull then anything and I
don�t have time to kick your ass today I�m far too busy, I�ve got board
meetings to attend to, people to fire and money to earn� I said and then Mokuba
and I walked over to the helicopter and we were finally on our way home.
