18: The Call
It had gone two days since we returned from
EN-GB'>Duellist
EN-GB'>Kingdom
first thing I had to do when we got back was to make sure that Mokuba got the
best care we could afford… wait a minute… that sounded wrong, I
buy the world if I wanted to and still
be the richest sixteen year old…
And now I’m awaiting Ryou’s answer but I don’t think
he will decline my offer. As Bakura said, Ryou lives alone in an apartment in
central Domino... Well anyway I think that Bakura can... or rather
I sighed and leaned back on my chair, I hate working
when all I do for the moment is paperwork... all paperwork and it boring me to
tears. I sighed once more when I resumed my focus onto the computer
Then a faint knock on the door was heard “Yes?” then
the door slowly opened and my assistant Fujiko popped her head in.
“Mister Kaiba, you got a call on line one” she said
and then awaited my answer.
“Who is it?” I asked.
“Someone named Ryou Bakura…”
“That will be all Fujiko” I cut her off, giving her a
glance that told her to leave which she of course did.
“Yes?” I said as I put the phone to my ear.
“Um… It’s Ryou…”
I could almost hear him blush as he mumbled over the line.
“Well, hi there Ryou” A small silence.
“Well… about the
m-move-in offer…” he stuttered.
“Yes…?” I said patiently, the once again silence.
“Oh, what the hell?!”style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB'> Bakura
cut in “This is taking too fucking long
time!”
“…Why did you butt in?” I smiled.
“It
asked you too come and pick us up and I hate waiting when I have things to do!”
He complained and I snickered.
“What do you have to do that’s so important?”
I heard him snicker over the line “
pick us up?”
“Sure” And with that the conversation had fulfilled
guests.
