Upon landing at Duel Academy, everyone is assigned their dorms rooms. They all get their room keys and their room numbers from their dorm leaders.
“Hey Syrus. What room are you crashing in?” Jaden asks him after they get their keys.
“2A. My parents requested I get my own room because of….well….you know.”
Jaden looks at his own room key. “That’s weird. There must have been a mistake.”
“Why?”
“Because I’ve got room 2A too.”
Syrus is overjoyed to hear this. If it was anyone else, Syrus would be mad but he likes this Jaden guy and Syrus somehow trusts him.
“Oh. Well if I have to share a dorm, I’m glad it’s with you.”
“Thanks.”
The boys find their dorm, unlock the door, and go inside. They find the room was meant for just Syrus, as there is only one bed.
“Uh….why is there only one bed?” Syrus asks.
“I guess this room was meant for just you Sy,” Jaden guesses. “I’ll go talk to Professor Banner about it.”
Before Jaden has a chance to leave, Syrus stops him. “Wait Jay. If you tell him, you might have to go to another dorm.”
“Why? They could just put another bed in here.”
“That’s not the point.” Syrus sits on the bed. “My parents specifically requested that I don’t share a dorm with anyone, especially another guy. Normally I would agree but…you’re my first friend in a while and I can’t help but feel I can trust you. So please don’t go!”
Jaden closes the door. “Trust me?” He sits on the bed next to Syrus and smiles. “Ok Syrus. If that’s what you want, I won’t mention it. But that still doesn’t solve this problem. There’s only one bed.”
“I know but if you mention it, you’ll have to move to another dorm.”
Jaden thinks for a moment. “I guess one of us will have to sleep on the floor and one of us will take the bed. You can have the bed.”
“Wait Jay. That’s not right. You shouldn’t sleep on the floor.”
“Well what do you suggest then? We can’t both sleep on the bed.”
Syrus blushes. “Well…maybe we can.”
“Are you serious?”
Syrus looks away. “No. Sorry. I never should have mentioned it.”
Jaden gets off the bed and looks at it. “Well it is a full size bed. Maybe we could.”
Syrus looks up. “Well um…we can but that idea kind of….scares me.”
“Hm? Why?”
Syrus looks down and starts crying again.
Jaden sits on the bed again. “Oh I get it. That incident.”
“Yea. See…a year ago…”
“What?”
Syrus sighs and lowers his head. “A year ago…I was raped.” Syrus slowly raises his head to see Jaden’s face. His face is one of pure shock.

“Y…yea. It’s true.”
“…who?”

“I told you because I thought you should know. We are gonna be roommates after all.”
“Were you worried that I wanted to…you know….because I suggested we sleep in this bed together? Because I was joking.”
“No I didn’t think that. I was just….I’m sorry.”
Jaden put his hand on Syrus’ shoulder and Syrus didn’t jump this time.
“No, I understand. But don’t worry. I wouldn’t…..I mean I’m not gay or anything so…”
Syrus feels relieved and yet slightly disappointed when he hears Jaden say he’s not gay.
“I know you wouldn’t Jay. When I met you, somehow I knew you weren’t that kind of person.”
“Well if you want to talk, I’ll listen.”
“Thanks Jay.” Syrus stops crying and smiles. ‘And yet what are these feelings I’m having?’ he thinks.
“So what do you want to do? I think I should just sleep on the floor.” Jaden gets a pillow out of his bag and sets it up on the floor. Syrus grabs it off the floor and puts it on the bed next to the pillow already on the bed.
“No Jay. I won’t let you sleep on the floor. I trust you and I don’t want my new friend to be uncomfortable.”
“Ok Sy, if you’re sure, I’ll sleep with you.”
Syrus blushes.
Jaden blushes too when he realizes what he just said. “Dammit I didn’t mean that. I meant-“
“I know what you meant Jay. We have class tomarrow so we should go to bed.”
“Right Sy.” Jaden walks to the other side of the room, faces away from Syrus, and starts putting on his pajamas. Syrus doesn’t notice himself staring at Jaden while he gets dressed. He notices that Jaden wears whity tighties, just like him. Syrus feels himself getting aroused, which confuses the young boy. When Jaden finishes changing, he turns around and luckly for Syrus, he doesn’t notice the younger boy’s errection.
“Aren’t you getting changed?”
Syrus blushes. “Oh sorry.”
“I’ll turn around so you can have privacy. I know that’s probably the best thing for you.” Jaden turns back around.
“Thanks.” Syrus pulls his pajamas out of his bag and quickly changes. “Ok Jaden. I’m done.”
Jaden turns back around. Even though Jaden claimed he wasn’t gay, he still found himself looking Syrus over, Syrus is wearing pajamas that perfectly match his blue hair, Jaden quickly walked over to the bed before Syrus noticed him staring.
As the bed was against the wall Jaden climbed in first, followed by Syrus.
“Goodnight Syrus.”
“Goodnight Jay.”
Both boys quickly fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, Syrus wakes up to the feeling of Jaden spooning him. “AHHH!” Syrus quickly jumps out of bed and slaps Jaden. Syrus notices that Jaden is still fast asleep. Syrus sighs. ‘Oh. He didn’t mean to….he’s asleep,’ he thinks. He rolls Jaden over on his back to give himself room to sleep and before he gets back into bed, he notices Jaden is smiling and has an erection. Syrus smiles. ‘He must be dreaming about some girl.’ Syrus starts to get back into bed until he hears Jaden say something which sounded like his name. This causes Syrus to blush. ‘Did I hear that right? No way. He said he was straight. And besides, who’d want me?”
Syrus crawls into bed and just as he’s about to fall asleep, he hears Jaden whisper “Mm Syrus, you’re so cute.”
This caused Syrus to panic. ‘Not again….’ he thinks. “Jaden?” he calls out. No answer. Syrus doesn’t feel Jaden touching him so he gets out of bed and looks at Jaden who is still asleep while smiling.
