Dear Bakura,
I am happy that you got the proposal memory first. I told you that I would be going through it with you and I had been worried about the types of memories that you will get. This time, you need to take the substance and spread it on your face for your next memory. I hope that this memory will be pleasant or at least something that doesn’t give you nightmares. I wouldn’t want you to have to deal with any of that just yet. The next memory should also be a rather pleasant or at lease decent memory, I hope, at the very least. Please don’t give up when it gets harder. I love you.
~Love Yuugi
Bakura smiled when he read Yuugi’s letter and immediately felt reassured that the next memory would also be pleasant. He decided once again that he would leave Yuugi a letter after he received the memory and once again dipped his hand into the liquid, before getting into bed and spreading it across his face. A wave of dizziness washed over him as he fell into a deep sleep.
“Oh come on, Bakura. It will be fun.” Yuugi said with a slight, evil grin on his face. “Besides, it isn’t even that bad.”
Bakura thought about it for a moment and then just agreed. What was the worst that could happen? They’d get expelled and have to repeat a year, knowing all the answers and assignments? Eh. It wasn’t like he hadn’t had setbacks in his life before now. “Alright, let’s do it.” he said and then worked with Yuugi to set up a couple classrooms with an absolutely frightful experience for some of their classmates and teachers.
It had taken several hours to set up and when it was finally done, Bakura thought he would almost feel sorry for the people who managed to trigger the scares. There were some of the ‘classics’ from this time like things that would pop out of the closet and random ‘scary’ creatures that were hiding in closets. Then there were the traps that caused people to see a random thing pop out at them before it started spewing fake blood and fake vomit over the person. Some of that fake stuff smelled completely awful, but Yuugi seemed to delight in using it.
When they came to school the next day, the chaos had begun. He bit his lip to get through the school with Yuugi as they both went up to the roof before classes started. Once they got there, they couldn’t help it as they both broke down into fits of laughter. “It was perfect!” Bakura said as Yuugi agreed with him. They were both sitting on the roof, holding their sides from laughing so much, and were trying their hardest to calm down. After they finally did, they couldn’t help but to talk about their favorite things about it, like when Atem happened to trigger the puking trap and got covered in all of the fake vomit.
“You make me so happy.” Yuugi said to Bakura and crawled into his lap giving him a small kiss.
Bakura woke up still feeling rather amused by this memory. He remembered how much he had been worried about getting in trouble and no longer existing, but he hadn’t needed to worry about playing pranks. Memories flooded through his mind of the different bits of mischief that both him and Yuugi had gotten into. All of it had been done in good fun and it was an easy way to blow off steam, so what happened?
He wasn’t thinking about what happened with Yuugi, but more of what happened to his friends and apparent enemies. Were the pranks the reason why some of them went with whatever happened to Yuugi? None of this made any sense, but he knew he would have all his memories back soon. Their bad times couldn’t be so bad that he wouldn’t want Yuugi back in his life. In his recovered memories, he could tell they loved each other more than anything and he would think that their friends would want them to be happy.
As he wrote his letter to Yuugi, he asked him if their love for one another would’ve caused them to have any enemies. Every single one of his friends were with someone or dating, so why would it only be their relationship that was split apart? Shouldn’t they have tried to help first if they realized there was a problem? Bakura hummed as he finished his letter to Yuugi and went on with the rest of the day.
