Chapter 3- Shattered Reflections

            “Everybody say ‘tequila’!” Marik laughed as he focused a camera on the motley group
gathered on the sofa. Yugi sat next to Yami, who was leaning back with his eyes closed half
passed out. Yami was still protectively clutching his bottle of tequila firmly in his hand.
“EEP!” Yugi squeaked loudly as he nudged Yami with his elbow. “We’re trying to get a picture
here, it’s not the time to be pinching my butt!”
Yami lifted his head and looked at hikari through half closed bloodshot eyes. His head wobbled
from side to side. “Hnn?”
Bakura, clad only in a pair of black jeans, looked around the room innocently.
“If I smile any longer, I think my face will crack.” Ryou said to Malik, trying to hold his pose
best he could.
“Hurry up and get over here!” Malik snapped at Marik, ignoring Ryou to some extent.
“Yeah, yeah.” Marik answered him as he rushed to get into the picture, throwing himself over
the laps of Ryou and Malik and striking a sexy pose.
The timer was quickly ticking away the seconds.
“Hey! Get your stupid Santa hat out of my face!” Malik fussed, just as the camera took the
picture, imprinting that moment of film forever.
Yugi nervously pointed down at his passed out yami. “Hey guys? Yami isn’t looking so good
here....”
Marik crawled over Yugi’s lap and shook Yami’s arm. The Pharaoh started to giggle for some
useless reason.
“He’s just pissed tight, I wouldn’t worry too much.” Marik assured the Pharaoh’s light. “I’ll just
go lay him on my bed so we don’t lose him again.”
“I say we go stick him outside in a snow drift head first.” Bakura laughed as he got up and
headed into the kitchen for something to drink.
“Maybe after he wakes up- ” Marik laughed evilly as he carried Yami into the bedroom.”-but
first I need to fuck the hell out of him. He likes it when I do that.”
Yami giggled again as Marik whisked him away.
Bakura chuckled softly to himself as he grabbed a beer from the fridge. Only Marik would think
of fucking the former Pharaoh of Egypt while he was passed out drunk.
“Don’t forget to tape it so we can all watch it later and laugh at you both!” He shouted as he
closed the fridge with his butt.
“Uh, Bakura?”
“What is it?” Bakura answered while opening his beer, his words coming out more harshly than
he intended for them too sound.
Yugi stepped back and laughed nervously.
“Ryou and I are gonna go sledding for a while, wanna come along?”
“Sledding? Are you serious, Yugi? Can you honestly picture me doing such a stupid thing?
Humor me some more!” Bakura ridiculed the Pharaoh’s light. He was only being honest......
“Well, I just thought I’d asked you. I guess I’ll see you later than.” Yugi disappointedly
responded as he turned to leave.
“Whatever.” Bakura shrugged as he lit up a smoke.
“Are you ready, Yugi?” Ryou asked, handing Yugi his winter coat.
“Yeah, I guess.”
Malik walked into the kitchen and joined Bakura in having a beer. Ryou sided up to his Egyptian
and kissed him on the cheek.
“I’ll miss you.” Ryou spoke softly.
Malik just nodded his head and flashed a quick, cocky smile. “Bakura? Do we have any sour
cream and onion dip?” He asked as he opened a bag of potato chips left on the counter.
Bakura rolled his eyes. “How the fuck would I know?”
Malik opened the fridge and started searching for the chip dip, totally ignoring Ryou.
Ryou and Yugi waved goodbye as they headed out the door, both looking a little let down.
Bakura didn’t say anything, but he sensed a certain amount tension in the air, and it seemed to be
stemming from Malik. He almost seemed to be glad Ryou was leaving.
“Damn it, I think the dip is all gone. Bakura? Can you give me a ride down to the store?
“Go to fucking hell, little Ishtar. You have two perfectly good legs, you can walk there.” Bakura
scoffed as he headed down the hall to his room.
Malik growled under his breath as he threw the bag of potato chips on the table.
“Fucker” He mumbled angrily as he stalked back into the living-room with his beer in hand.
Bakura covered his eyes as he walked into his room. “Gods, Marik......You’re such a freak. Did
you have to break his legs to get him to bend that way?”
“Shut up, you just wish you could be sticking this right now.” Marik smirked and he continued
pounding Yami into the mattress.
“Hn.....whatever.” Bakura sarcastically remarked. He placed his cigarette between his lips to free
up both of his hands. He slid open his closet door and started sifting through the heaps of piled
up clothing.
“Marik? AH! AH! Oh gods, do that some more!” Yami moaned loudly over the sound of the
bedsprings squeaking.
Bakura glanced over his shoulder and glared as the moaning and squeaking got louder.
“Must you always moan like a bitch, Pharaoh? Gods, it’s so pathetic.”
“Admit it, you want me....you just are afraid to admit it.” Yami laughed as he was banged on
furiously by Marik.
Bakura narrowed his eyes as he took a drag of is cigarette. “I think it’s the other way around.”
Yami let out an exaggerated moan and dug his fingers into Marik’s shoulders, completely
ignoring Bakura’s comment.
“That’s it, Pharaoh, take it! Take every inch of it, you dirty little man-bitch!” Marik snarled as he
plunged in and out of Yami like a piston.
“Uh, UH! Oh yeah, fuck me hard!” Yami wailed loud enough for the neighbors to hear.
Bakura rolled his eyes and replaced his cigarette between his lips. He turned back to his closet
and reached into the pile of clothes. He’d seen enough. After searching for a few minutes, he
finally found the shirt he was looking for.
After he was dressed, he went back into the living-room by Malik. He was a little surprised to
find Katsuya and Malik walking out the door.
“Tell Marik that Jou’s taking me to the store.” Malik instructed Bakura as he left.
“Yeah right.” Bakura scoffed as he put in his new ‘Stupidass’ DVD and kicked back in his easy
chair.
            Bakura was startled from a little nap he’d decided to take sometime later that afternoon
by the sound of voices in the hall. It was Katsuya and Malik, and they were talking very quietly.
Bakura muted the television and listened closely.
“Just put some ice on it, I’m sure the swelling will go down after a while.”
“Yeah, I will. I just feel really bad about your truck.” Malik answered Katsuya.
“It’s not the first time I’ve put ‘er in the ditch. Another dent ain’t gonna make a difference. All
that matters to me is that you’re okay. I still can’t believe that frozen ham clocked you one.”
Katsuya laughed.
“No kidding. From now, if we’re going to fool around, I do my grocery shopping afterward.”
Bakura couldn’t believe what he’d just heard. Was Malik seeing Katsuya on the side? More
importantly, how could he use this little morsel of information to his advantage?
Bakura narrowed his eyes as he heard Malik walk into the apartment.
“Hello, Malik.”
Malik set a bag of groceries on the table and nodded his head.
“Hey, Bakura.” Malik answered, not bothering to look at his boyfriend’s yami. Had he looked
up, he’d have seen pure evil in the yami’s eyes.
Just as Bakura was getting out of his chair, Ryou and Yugi burst into the apartment.
“That was so fun, Ryou! We’ll have to do that again sometime.” Yugi laughed as he unwound
his scarf from around his neck.
“Definitely.” Ryou smiled brightly as he turn to his frowning yami. “Hello, yami, is something
the matter?”
Bakura glared daggers though Malik. “I have my eye on you, Ishtar.” He growled evilly at the
Egyptian as he walked out of the room.
“Hn, I wonder what his problem is today.” Malik mused as he continued putting the groceries
away.
            Bakura walked into his bedroom and slammed the door behind him. He was down-right
pissed off. The slurping noises coming from under Marik’s blanket only enraged him even more.
Small plastic pudding cups littered the floor around Marik’s bed. Bakura didn’t even want to
know why. He cringed at the thought of Marik and Yami licking chocolate pudding off each
other. That was not exactly what he wanted on his mind.
“You two make me sick. Is that all you’re going to do today?” He asked, sounding as vicious
as spiritly possible.
Yami poked his out from under the blanket and grinned. His hair was flat as a board and his
cheeks were flushed bright red. “Yup.”
Marik’s hand appeared from under the blanket, followed by a playful growl. Marik yanked the
Pharaoh back under by his hair, followed by some mischievous evil giggling.
Bakura snorted disgustedly as he flopped back onto his bed, stacking his hands underneath his
head. He tried to ignore the sinful sexcapades going on in the bed next to his, but it proved
almost impossible. He couldn’t take listening to Yami moaning like a bitch in heat every time
Marik slapped his royal ass much longer.
He already had enough on his mind. Something told him Malik was cheating on his hikari, and
that didn’t sit well with the thief. Only HE had the right to do mean and nasty things to the boy!
Not some self-centered punk like Malik......
‘Just who the hell does he think he is? Ryou took his pathetic ass in after Marik got them kicked
out of their shitty little apartment, and not only that, I gave the little bastard a job! If he’s fucking
that bitch Katsuya, he’d better pray to the gods I don’t get a moment alone with him.....that sick
little fuck....’ Bakura thought to himself. There had to be some way to manipulate this situation
to his advantage. After a few minutes of thinking, Bakura snapped his fingers.
“Of course!” He exclaimed as he hopped off his bed.
Marik and Yami stopped groping each other for a moment and looked at Bakura strangely.
“Huh? You talking to us?” Marik asked as he turned off the vibrator he was holding and set it
aside.
Bakura grabbed his leather jacket and pulled it on.
“I’m going for a little drive. You can come too if you so desire.”
Marik and Yami looked at each other and shrugged.
“Sure, what the hell?” Marik laughed as tossed off the blanket and hopped out of bed.
Marik and Yami quickly dressed and followed Bakura out into the living-room, where Yugi,
Ryou and Malik were hanging out.
“You’re coming with me, punk.” Bakura snarled as he grabbed Malik’s arm and yanked him off
the sofa.
“Hey! What’s going on? Let me go, you ass!” Malik protested, giving Bakura a shove with his
free arm..
Bakura’s eyes grew dark as coal. He growled under his breath as he picked Malik up by his shirt
collar and violently yanked him face to face.
“You’ll come alright, and you won’t make a fuss, you got that, bitch?”
Ryou quickly jumped off the sofa and lunged at Bakura in order to try to protect Malik. Shoving
Bakura was not always the best thing to do. Of all people, Ryou knew that best. After living with
his evil yami for so many years, he grew familiar with how Bakura reacted in certain given
situations. Ryou could feel Bakura was about to unleash his wrath on Malik.
“Yami! What the hell is wrong with you? Leave Malik alone!” He shouted as he tried to pry
Bakura off of his boyfriend.
Bakura’s quick temper got the best of him, and in blind rage, he hauled off and backhanded
Ryou across the face.
Ryou flew back and hit the wall, leaving him completely dazed. Two small trails of blood
dripped from the corners of his mouth.
Yami gasp as Ryou fell on the floor. He and Yugi rushed to his aid.
“Ryou! Are you okay?”
Yami tilted Ryou’s chin up and looked down into his big brown, teary eyes. “Ryou?”
Malik managed to wriggle himself free from Bakura clutches while everybody’s attention was
on Ryou. “Never touch me again, you bastard.” Malik growled venomously as stalked away from
Bakura and sided up to Marik.
Bakura didn’t move. Malik suddenly wasn’t important anymore. He just stared at Ryou, a bit
shocked over what he’d just done. Granted it wasn’t the first time he’d belted his hikari, but it
had been quite a while since he last had.
“Ryou.....you shouldn’t have gotten in my way......” Bakura’s voice faltered.
Yami and Yugi helped Ryou to his feet, Yami keeping his piercing crimson eyes locked warily
on Bakura.
Bakura made a move toward Ryou.
“Don’t even think about it.” Yami glowered evilly as he blocked Bakura’s path leading to his
light.
“But, I’m not going to-...I just need to-....Oh fuck it to hell anyway!” Bakura snarled as he kicked
somebody’s shoe that was laying on the floor across the room. “Fuck you, Malik. This is all
you’re damned fault! You’re so pathetic!”
Bakura turned around and charged toward the door. Before opening the door though, Bakura
pulled back his clenched fist and punched Malik square in the jaw. Bakura had made his move
so quickly that Malik didn’t even see it coming. Bakura than slammed the door shut on his way
out, causing the wall to vibrate just enough to make a mirror hanging near the door fall and
shatter.
“Wow. What just happened here?” Yami said as the chaos was brought to sudden halt. Marik
turned to Malik and gave him a little nudge.
“What was all that about? Did something happen between you and Bakura?”
Malik turned his head and refused to answer, which didn’t sit well with Marik.
“Quit that pathetic pouting. What the fuck is your problem?”
“Bakura’s fucking dead!” Malik snarled as he punched his hand, demonstrating what he
intended to do to Bakura’s face.
With all eyes still on him, Malik grabbed his jacket and followed Bakura out the door.
“Oh crap” Yugi said to Ryou as Yami and Marik followed Malik out.
Ryou wiped some of the blood off his chin with his hand and sighed softly.
“This is not going very well at all.”

            Bakura aggressively revved up his Nova’s engine as he slapped the shifter from neutral
into reverse. Loud heavy metal music thumped through the car’s speakers.
“I need to get out of here before I end up doing something I’ll regret.” He said to himself,
chirping his tires as he slammed his car into gear.
“Hey! Get back here you asshole!” Malik yelled as he ran out of the apartment complex and into
the parking lot.
“Kiss this!” Bakura yelled out his window as he flipped Malik off and mashed his foot down on
the gas pedal.
            Marik and Yami were barely out the door when they heard Malik yelling. They ran
around the side of the building just in time to see a light blue Toyota Tercel clip the front end of
Bakura’s Nova, sending the car spinning out of control.

            Oh wow, there goes that sweet car!!! That sucks!!!!! The next chapter has a lemon......one
that nobody will expect though. *wink wink*
I didn’t get a chance to proof read this real good, so I’ll go over it in the morning. Hope it’s not
to fucked up.....
