It had been another long and boring day at school. Even more boring than usual, since his usual source of interest had been away for the second day in a row. Joey sighed and shook his head, irritated at himself. 'Source of interest' barely scraped the surface and he hated lying to himself. 'Obsession' - now that was more like it.
"Joey! Wait up!"
The unexpected interruption caught Joey by surprise. He turned, scanning the street for the source of the voice. When he saw the limousine pulling into a park nearby, he sauntered over to it, smiling easily at the boy through the open rear window. Although he was seriously tempted to lean on the sleek machine as he spoke to Mokuba, he resisted the urge. Kaiba would kill him if he got even a fingerprint on its pristine polish.
"Hey Mokuba, what's up?" His grin faded as he noticed how worried the boy looked. "Everythin' okay?"
Mokuba bit his lip and shook his head. "Not really. Can we... go talk somewhere?"
This was new. "We're talkin' now." Joey wondered what was going on. It wasn't like Mokuba to be so hesitant.
"No... I mean... We are but..." Mokuba took a calming breath and tried again, his large eyes meeting Joey's, silently pleading with him. "I need to talk to you somewhere private. It's really important. Please?"
"Sure." Joey didn't think twice about it. Mokuba was definitely in some kind of trouble.
Mokuba smiled and opened the back door, then scooted across the seat so Joey could get in. "Thanks, Joey. I really appreciate this."
Joey smiled back and nodded. "No problem. So where are we goin'?"
"The one place where I know we won't be overheard."
When Mokuba directed the chauffeur to take them to the park, Joey knew it was serious.

Joey sat on the wide lip of the park fountain and watched the boy pacing back and forth in front of him. That Mokuba was nervous was obvious in his quick, tense, movements and the almost hunted look in his eyes.
"Hey Mokuba, would you quit it already? You're makin' me dizzy." Joey tried to make a joke of it, to disguise his growing concern over the boy.
Mokuba stopped and looked at Joey as if he was surprised to see him there. A faint blush spread over his cheeks. "Sorry, Joey. I'm a bit distracted."
Joey grinned. "Yeah. I noticed." He waved his hand around, indicating the area. "Here we are in the open air with no one in sight. I'd say this is about as private as it gets. So what's on your mind?" He patted the stone beside him.
Managing a faint smile, Mokuba sat down. He sighed. "I... It's about my brother."
Joey frowned, unease shivering down his spine. There was something going on and it wasn't good. He could tell from the way the boy was acting. "He okay? He wasn't at school yesterday or today."
Mokuba nodded. "He took yesterday off to work on a big merger that's happening. It's really important and he only has a few days to get the paperwork sorted out. I was sure he'd stay at the office until it was finished but..." He looked at Joey. "When I got home from school, Seto was already there."
"But that's good, right? I mean, he probably finished early. You know Kaiba, he pushes himself. I bet he worked his butt off for hours without a break." Joey shrugged.
"Yeah, he always does that, but..." Mokuba bit his lip and suddenly looked very nervous. He stared into Joey's eyes. "Promise me you'll never tell anyone what I'm about to tell you. Or tell Seto I told you."
Joey's uneasy feeling was now a hard lump of dread in the pit of his stomach. "Mokuba..."
"Promise." Mokuba glared at him and Joey sighed.
"Okay, okay. I promise. I won't tell Kaiba or anyone." Joey looked at the boy. "But if it's that big a deal, are ya sure ya should be tellin' me at all?"
Mokuba sighed and suddenly seemed to find his shoes extremely interesting. "Not really, but you're the only one who might be willing to help and..." He looked up again, his eyes far wider than Joey had ever thought possible. "I think he really needs help, Joey."
Joey sighed softly and ran a hand through his hair. "Then I guess you'd better tell me. You got home and he was there, then what?"
"His bedroom door was closed and... I could hear him moaning and stuff."
"Whoa! Way too much information there!" Joey held up his hands and shuddered. He was sure his face was easily as red as Mokuba's, and the boy's head now resembled a tomato. Of course, it wasn't only embarrassment heating Joey's face, but there was no way he'd ever admit that.
"Sorry Joey." Mokuba squirmed uncomfortably in his seat for a second, then jumped up and started pacing again. "But... that's the problem."
Joey stared at the raven-haired boy as a very unpleasant thought crossed his mind. "Uh... Mokuba... I really don't think I'm the right one to talk to about this. I mean... uh... maybe ya should talk to your brother." He smiled weakly. "I'm sure he'll be able to explain what he was doin'."
Mokuba shook his head, scowling. "Joey! I'm not a little kid! I know what he was doing."
"Er... ya do?" Joey asked cautiously.
"Yes. The problem isn't with *what* he was doing. But *when* he was doing it!" Mokuba looked at Joey as if he should have already known that.
Joey frowned. "When?" He shrugged. "Well... it's not like that sort of thing can really be controlled. I mean... it just sort of... happens." He was struggling and he knew it. From the younger boy's frustrated sigh, Mokuba knew it too.
"Not to Seto. He only does it once a week. Every Saturday night from ten to around midnight." He shrugged as if it was no big deal that he had just revealed his older brother's masturbation schedule.
"Uh..." Joey wasn't sure, but he thought it was likely that his brain had just melted. "How do you know that?" It was the first thing that popped into the puddle that was now his mind and he winced when he realised he'd said it aloud.
Mokuba sighed. "My room's right next to his and I can hear him. First he showers, then he moans for an hour or two and then he showers again. I have to wear headphones so I can play my computer game and not get distracted."
"Ya mean he does it when you're still awake?" Joey was so shocked he just blurted it out without a second thought. When Mokuba bit his lip and looked away, his brain started working again. "Why ya little sneak. Ya take advantage of his... distraction... to play some more, don't ya?" Joey grinned at Mokuba, admiring the kid's dedication to his gaming almost as much as he admired his sneakiness.
Mokuba grinned back. "I had a feeling you'd understand." His smile faded. "But that's why I know something's wrong, Joey. Seto only does that once a week. Always the same night and at the same time. But yesterday..." He bit his lip, shaking his head.
Joey ran his hand through his hair again. "Mokuba... It really doesn't sound like a problem to me. I mean... maybe he just wanted to do somethin' a bit different."
"It wasn't just yesterday."
Mokuba's voice was so soft, Joey barely heard it. The words caught his attention though. "Oh? So this has happened before?"
The boy shook his head. "No. I mean... There was more to it."
Joey nodded. "So tell me the rest." He could at least hear the kid out. If he learned anything interesting in the process, that would just be a bonus.
"Well like I said, when I got home from school yesterday, Seto was in his room. I thought it was strange but I was also kind of happy." Seeing the look Joey was giving him, Mokuba shook his head. "Whatever you're thinking, stop it. I was happy because I thought it meant that he'd finished work early and had taken some time off for himself. He hardly ever does that, so I'm glad when he does."
Joey nodded and pretended that he hadn't been thinking anything perverted, like Mokuba getting off on listening to Kaiba getting off or anything like that. Nah, that would just be... weird. "Yeah, makes sense."
Mokuba bit his lip and looked down at his shoes. "When Seto came down for dinner, I knew right away something was wrong. He was wearing his trenchcoat." He looked up at Joey, making sure he had the blonde's attention before making his point. "It was creased and he had it buttoned up."
Joey frowned, suddenly understanding Mokuba's concern. "Okay, that's odd. Even for Kaiba. I mean, I know he likes wearin' those things but I've never seen him wear it done up and I didn't think his clothes dared get wrinkled."
"He was walking strangely too." Mokuba frowned. "I can't really describe it."
"Like he was tryin' to walk normally?" Joey grinned as Mokuba nodded eagerly. "I'm good."
Mokuba smiled a little at that, but then his smile faded again. "Over dinner, I asked him how the merger was going and he told me that he hadn't finished the documents. That's when I really began to get worried."
Joey whistled softly. "Yeah. That's not like Kaiba at all. Going home early is a stretch by itself, but maybe if he had his work done. But leavin' it and goin' early..." He shook his head.
Mokuba nodded in agreement. "He seemed distracted over dinner, too. He normally talks for a while, but he just ate and went back to his room." The boy bit his lip and looked at Joey worriedly. "He didn't even come out to say goodnight. He *always* comes to say goodnight. Even if he's really busy at the office, he calls me. But... nothing."
Joey moved. Slipping his arm around Mokuba, he hugged the boy gently. "Did he say anythin' about it this mornin'?" he asked quietly.
"No. He didn't get up when he normally does. I tried to go in and wake him up and..." Mokuba bit his lip again and leaned into Joey for support. "His door was locked. I could hear him inside though." He looked up at Joey. "He was still moaning. I was worried so I knocked. It took him ages to open it and when he did... He seemed really tired and he was as pale as if he'd just spent a week programming computer code." Mokuba frowned. "He said that he wasn't feeling well. That's why he didn't go to school today. But I heard him moaning again while I was getting ready."
While Mokuba had been talking, alarm bells had begun ringing in Joey's mind. One for everything he said that was at all unusual for Seto Kaiba. By the time the boy finished speaking, Joey's mind was so filled with alarms it was a wonder he could hear anything else. "Maybe he is sick. Maybe that's why he's moanin'."
"No, it's the same sound he usually makes. Although he did sound a bit strained last night and this morning." Mokuba shrugs. "But wouldn't that be normal if he'd been at it for so long?"
Joey bravely battled against reacting to Mokuba's turn of phrase and simply nodded. "Yeah." He agreed with the boy completely. Something was definitely wrong with Kaiba. The question was, what?
But it was another question that Joey asked. "I see why you're worried, but how do you think I can help?"
Mokuba bit his lip. "Well... I was thinking that maybe someone slipped my brother something. Like some sort of weird sex drug. Maybe he needs to work it out of his system or something. But I don't think he can do it on his own."
Now alarm bells were ringing in Joey's mind for a different reason. "Mokuba..." He eyed the boy warily.
Mokuba turned so he was facing Joey, his eyes seeming almost impossibly large in his small face. "Joey! Seto really needs you! Please say you'll help him! Please!"
Joey shook his head. "He hates me! There's no way he'd accept my help for anythin', especially not somethin' like this! Man, Mokuba, what are ya thinkin'? I agree it sounds like he's in some sort of trouble, but I really don't think I can help. Why in the world would ya think I could?" Completely bewildered, Joey stared at the boy.
"Because it's always your name that my big brother screams."
