Shopping, Sex and Fruitcake
Chapter 2
@-->-->----
The car pulled up in front of the Kaiba mansion. The driver's door immediately opened and the driver slipped out - the determined look on his face changing to a resigned expression when the back door opened before he could get there. Joey emerged from the car, looking very guilty. He smiled sheepishly at the chauffeur. "I did it again. Sorry about that."
"Honestly Wheeler... that makes four times you have denied the man the chance to do his job and open your door for you." Seto emerged from the door right behind Joey and then arched an eyebrow at his driver. "Now I believe he is pouting."
"He wasn't until ya came out this side again, instead of waitin' for him to get your door." Joey grinned.
Seto shrugged. "I was closer to this side."
As he closed the back door of the car, Joey's eyes gleamed. "Yeah, I was practically sittin' in..." He watched as the driver moved very quickly and got back into the car, then drove off with a soft squeal of the tires. "... your lap," he finished, then looked at Kaiba. "What's his rush?"
Seto's lips twitched but he managed to keep a straight face. "I would put it down to embarrassment and a wish to not overhear any intimate details about his employer."
Joey shook his head and looked confused. "All I said was where I was sittin'." He started towards the front door. "Not like I said what we were doin' or anythin'."
Seto chuckled softly. "I believe he guessed. We may have had the privacy screen up, but your moaning right when I had the intercom on to tell him we were going for pizza was something of a give-away."
"I'd apologise, but that one was your fault. If you'd kept your hands to yourself, it wouldn't have happened." Joey grinned over his shoulder.
Seto looked rather smug as he followed Joey to the door. "You seem to be forgetting... Your first moan came when I licked your ear. There were no hands involved, then."
Joey laughed. "Maybe not, but there definitely were when ya turned on the intercom. How'd ya do that, anyway? Both your hands were up my shirt at the time."
"I nudged the button with my knee."
As the blonde teen doubled over, laughing, Seto glanced around to make sure there was no one around to overhear their rather indiscreet conversation. He caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye and tilted his head up for a better look. What he saw did not make him happy. "Wheeler... you are staying over tonight, are you not?"
Joey managed to get his laughter under control enough to reply. "Yeah. If you're sure ya want me too."
"I am."
"So why'd ya ask?" Joey looked very curious.
Seto nodded towards the sky, where no stars could be seen for the dark storm clouds that had gathered. "I am not sure you will be able to go home before the morning, if you had to. It looks like we might be going to get a storm tonight."
A strong gust of wind blew around them and Seto hunched a little more into the warmth of his black winter trenchcoat. "We should get inside." He strode to the door and opened it before stepping back to let his blonde companion inside first.
Joey nodded and tried not to shiver too obviously. His old coat wasn't as warm as Kaiba's and the wind was quite cold. "Sounds like a plan to me." He moved past Kaiba and barely suppressed a moan of delight as he entered the wonderfully warm house.
A moment later, Joey moaned for another reason. He leaned back against the firm body that was pressing up against his back as Kaiba's arms slipped around his waist. "What if someone sees us?"
"Tonight is the chef's night off and all the other servants finish their work at five unless I am entertaining guests. The only one here to see us is Mokuba and I have no secrets from him. He already knows you are coming home with me tonight." Seto whispered the words in Wheeler's ear before he slowly licked it, then began lightly suckling the lobe. He smiled as the action caused the blonde boy in his arms to moan again - then moaned himself as Joey reached back and began to stroke his hips.
"You have such talented hands." Seto couldn't resist saying it.
"This is nothin'. Just wait until later when I can get my hands on you properly." Joey purred the words and Seto almost moaned again at the sensual sound.
"Promises, promises." Seto's own voice was husky with desire. "Who says I will let you touch me? Perhaps I only want to touch you, tonight." He stroked his hands slowly over Wheeler's belly and began to move them up towards his chest.
"Mmm... I wouldn't complain about that. But you'd wake up to find yourself tied to the bed so I could have my turn." Joey grinned and stroked his hands down the outside of Kaiba's thighs - pushing the trenchcoat aside so he could feel the other teen's body a little better. "You do have ties, don't ya?"
"I am a businessman. Of course I have ties." Seto licked Wheeler's ear again and smiled as he drew another pleasured moan from the blonde.
"Not that sort of tie," Joey said, as soon as he could get his mind off what Kaiba was doing and back onto the conversation. "I mean the sort ya tie people up with. Although... yours would work too."
"Oh. I have some silk cords... somewhere..." Seto frowned slightly as he tried to think through his distraction. "Perhaps in my wardrobe..."
Joey arched an eyebrow. "Kaiba! I'm shocked! I wouldn't have figured you'd be into that sort of thing." He grinned as he turned his head just enough to see Kaiba's face. "I can't picture you doin' the whole master and slave bit... well..." He considered that for a second before wincing. "Actually... I take that back. I can picture it and it's kinda scarin' me."
Seto smiled wryly. "They were a gift last Christmas. You can blame Devlin's peculiar sense of humour. He said something about how I might be able to 'get some' if I had something to tie someone up with, so they could not leave when I bored them."
"Ouch. That was harsh." Joey winced. "What in the world did ya do to earn that?"
"I believe he was a little annoyed with me when I beat him out in a deal he was eager to make." Seto stroked one hand over Wheeler's belly as his other hand began to rub a nipple. Even through the boy's sweater, Seto could feel the hard little bud. The knowledge that Wheeler was already hard there made Seto hard somewhere else.
"Seto!"
Mokuba's voice fell on the two teenage boys like a bucket of ice water. Gasping, they quickly stepped away from each other and tried to look as if they hadn't just been caught being semi-naughty.
The raven-haired boy sighed as he leaned against the doorjamb. He shook his head. "Honestly, big brother, if you're this bad now... I don't think I want to be around tomorrow morning." His eyes twinkled as he grinned at the two older teens.
Seto frowned at Mokuba and refused to give his little brother the satisfaction of seeing him blush by the simple act of denying to himself that the heat he could feel in his cheeks was having any visible effect. "Mokuba! I do not wish to hear that sort of thing from you. We were merely... hugging." From the way the boy's grin widened, Seto had a feeling he'd said the wrong thing.
"Hugging. From behind him with your hands... Uh huh. Sure you were. That wasn't what I meant though."
Weren't little boys supposed to have sweet and cherubic grins? Mokuba's was more... wicked and demonic. Yes, that summed it up. Seto winced. He could always tell when Mokuba was about to say something he didn't want to hear and his 'I'm not going to like this' radar was now beeping loudly. "Then what did you mean?"
Mokuba looked like the cat that had just drunk a whole saucer full of cream. "I don't see any pizzas. Weren't you guys supposed to bring home dinner?"
Joey and Seto both stared at Mokuba, then looked at each other in dawning realisation. "I'm pretty sure we picked them up," Joey offered weakly.
Seto nodded and sighed. "We put them in the boot so you would not eat them on the way home." He pinched the bridge of his nose, where he could feel a headache building.
"Oh yeah. So that means they're still..." Joey pouted. "Oh man."
Mokuba grinned. "Don't worry, Joey. Unlike you two, the chauffeur wasn't distracted. He called me from the car phone and I met him at the kitchen door. That's why I came to get you. So come on, our dinner's getting cold and I'm hungry!" He crossed his arms and pouted at the older boys. "No more hugging or whatever you were really doing. Time to eat!"
Joey laughed and nodded. "Sounds good, kid. I'm hungry too." He made a beeline for the door.
"So what else is new?" Seto smiled wryly as he followed.
"Hey, I'm a growin' boy!" Joey grinned over his shoulder, then stopped to wait for Seto to catch up to him. He leaned over and whispered in the brunette's ear. "Or I was... until Mokuba interrupted us." He winked at Seto and then hurried to catch up to Mokuba before Seto could think of a comeback.
Seto stood still for a second, a little stunned at how easily Wheeler could arouse him. That one line had been enough to make his pants a little uncomfortable. He shook his head and chuckled softly as Mokuba and Joey both looked back and called for him to hurry up because they were hungry.
Having Wheeler around was definitely going to keep him on his toes.
As Seto followed the other two to the kitchen, he realised that he was rather looking forward to it.
@-->-->----
They never heard the storm start.
It could have begun while they were eating dinner, since the meal included a very lively discussion of video games that moved on into an even more lively discussion of Duel Monsters. That led into an improvised duel - naturally - before Mokuba pointed out that waving knives and forks around was dangerous and if they really wanted to duel then why were they wasting time doing it with cutlery?
The storm could also have started during the duel - this time using actual cards - that followed dinner. Actually... anything short of the world exploding could have happened during that duel and none of the boys would have heard it - due to Seto deciding to use it as the first test of the new Advanced Sound Synthesizer add-on for his company's holographic duel disc system. The first monster that roared - one of Seto's Blue Eyes White Dragons - had the boys on their knees with their hands clamped over their ears until Seto managed to cut the power.
After that, it was a while before any of them could hear anything properly.
Seto had to agree with Joey when he said that he thought the name suited the Advanced Sound Synthesizer perfectly and that 'blow it out your ASS' would make a good slogan for it.
At least until the little problem with the over-enthusiastic volume was corrected.
The storm could also have started after that - while they were enjoying the video games that Mokuba coerced his brother and Joey into playing with him while they waited for their hearing to return to normal.
The games required quite a lot of concentration and all three of them were so focused on what they were doing that they were distracted from everything else. So much so that it was ten o'clock before Seto finally noticed the time and remembered that his secretary had been going to email him some documents he needed to look over before a meeting he had on Monday.
A few minutes after he left the room, several loud crashes made Mokuba and Joey jump. They glanced at each other, then raced out of the room to try and find out what had happened. Loud swearing was coming from Seto's office and Joey winced as he covered Mokuba's tender young ears. "I'd say we've found the source of the noise." He nudged Mokuba in that direction, keeping his ears covered until they got there and he was distracted from his prudishness by the sight that met their eyes.
Seto's chair was lying on its side beside the bookcase. Source of one crash.
There were several books lying on the floor around the chair, apparently knocked down when the chair had collided with the bookcase. Source of another crash.
The curtain was lying pooled on the floor beneath the window, complete with the curtain rod and the wall brackets that had once supported it. Three sources for three crashes.
Seto was leaning on the windowsill, facing the window as he rubbed his hip. He was obviously in pain from both it and the foot he was holding up. Source of the swearing.
There was snow all over the floor. Source of Mokuba and Joey's arched eyebrows.
"Big brother! Are you all right? What... ahahahahaha!" Mokuba burst out laughing as Seto turned around. Joey snickered before he bit his lip and managed to stop himself.
The snow wasn't just on the floor.
It was all over Seto's hair, face and chest, as well.
"What happened, Kaiba? Freak indoor blizzard?" Joey bit his lip harder but looked like he'd join in Mokuba's laughing fit any second.
Seto sighed and scowled, first at Mokuba, then at Joey. "It was a little stuffy in here so I opened the window. Unfortunately, it appears that we are currently in the middle of a winter storm." Seto sighed again and gingerly tested his weight on his injured foot.
Mokuba and Joey looked at each other, then at the chaos. "Maybe we're better of not knowing?" Mokuba suggested to Joey, who nodded in agreement. Seto scowled at them both again.
"I opened the window and was blasted with cold air and snow. I caught hold of the curtain to keep my balance, but my weight was too much for it. I stumbled and knocked over the chair, which in turn hit the bookcase. That was all that happened. No great mystery." He was obviously irritable.
Joey looked at Mokuba, then back at Kaiba and dared to ask. "So what happened to your foot?"
Seto's eyes narrowed and he glared at his irritating blonde interrogator. "If you must know... I kicked the chair in a fit of annoyance."
Mokuba and Joey both looked at Seto, then at each other and then burst out laughing.
Seto sighed heavily. "If the two of you are quite done enjoying yourselves at my expense... I have some work to do. I will rejoin you in a little while."
Joey nodded, managing to get his laughter under control. "All right. Careful ya don't slip in the snow."
That set Mokuba off again. Seto could still hear his little brother laughing as he closed the door behind him and began to set his office to rights before getting down to his work.
@-->-->----
Seto stretched and yawned, then leaned over and shut down his computer. He was finally done for the night. He'd thought he'd just needed to read through the documents, but a figure in one of the financial reports had caught his eye. Before he'd realised what he was getting into, he'd discovered that all of the final figures in the report were off - due to one tiny little mistake that the head of the accounting department would be hearing from him about. He had fixed them, but it had taken him far longer than he had intended.
He glanced at his watch and then stared at it in shock.
Three o'clock? Surely he hadn't been in there for five hours?
The moment he tried to stand, Seto knew his watch wasn't lying. He groaned softly as his legs and back protested at the movement after he'd been sitting still for so long. Seto groaned again at the dull ache in his hip. He would definitely have a bruise there, the next day. Stupid chair. But he couldn't worry about that now. He had to find out where Mokuba and Wheeler were.
A few minutes - and a look into the games room where he'd left them - later, Seto had his answer.
He smiled a little as he studied the scene. Mokuba was curled up at one end of the couch beneath one of the throw rugs they used when they stayed up late to watch movies together. He was sleeping soundly and smiling as sweetly as the angel he wasn't when he was awake. At the other end of the couch... Seto was fairly sure the lump burrowed beneath another throw rug was Wheeler, but he couldn't really see enough of him to be sure. All he could make out were a pair of bare feet sticking out from under the rug on the side nearest him and a shock of tousled blonde hair poking out on the far side.
Seto smiled a little more and went to Mokuba. Being careful not to wake him, he gently lifted him up, rug and all, and carried him to his room to put him to bed properly. A few minutes later - Mokuba settled into his bed and still sleeping the sleep of the sweet and innocent child that he could be when he wanted something - Seto returned to the games room.
For several minutes, he just stood beside the lump on the couch, looking down at it thoughtfully. The day was a whirl in his mind - filled with stolen kisses, heated glances and promises of pleasure - and Seto couldn't help but wonder if perhaps they had reached this point too quickly. After all, only that morning they had been rivals and... not enemies exactly but... not exactly friends either.
What had they been? What were they now? Seto wasn't sure of the answers and he suspected that Wheeler didn't know either.
Wheeler... Did the fact that he still thought of him by his surname mean something? Seto had an uneasy feeling that it did - but again, he had no idea what.
All he knew at that point was that one touch of this blonde boy's hands or lips was all it took to ignite a fire inside him that had never burned before.
Even a look from those deep honey eyes was enough to make Seto wish for nothing more than to have Wheeler in his bed - and his life - for as long as he could keep him there.
Even if that was forever.
Seto started to reach for Wheeler's shoulder, but stopped as a twinge of pain in his hip made me re-think his strategy.
The other boy was sound asleep and Seto's hip was hurting so much he had a feeling that the only relief he'd get that night would come from an ice pack. Why wake Wheeler now only to start something they wouldn't get to finish? Better off to let him sleep and pick things up in the morning, after they had both had some sleep and were rested and... more energetic.
The thought of Wheeler more energetic than he had been while in the car earlier almost made Seto reconsider his plan. He reluctantly moved away and headed for his own room - pausing at the door for one last look at the slumbering lump on the couch before he turned off the light and closed the door.
Tomorrow.
It would be the day he and his rival finally did something about the mutual attraction that had been building between them ever since their first meeting over a year earlier.
He would finally get to have Wheeler in his bed.
Seto could imagine the blonde teen lying panting beneath him, exhausted after they had engaged in the most glorious and incredible lovemaking either of them had ever known.
Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough for Seto... But if he didn't get to the privacy of his ensuite soon, he was going to come in the hallway.
As he hurried to his room, Seto's plans filled his mind. First he'd wake up early. Then he'd entice Wheeler awake with the promise of breakfast. Then he'd lure him to his bedroom. Then he'd pounce.
It was such a simple plan. Nothing could possibly go wrong!
