A/N: Well, here we are at Chapter 3! For those of you who might be curious, the cards you're reading about in this story are in fact real, and that's precisely how their effects play out in a real game.
Anyway, please enjoy!

Chapter 3: Kaiba's Struggles

Yami came back down from the stage as the crowds had slowly began making their way to the exits. The rest of the crew ran up to him. Before anyone could ask him anything, he spoke in a voice that left no room for discussion.
"I'm going to go check up on Kaiba. I want the rest of you to leave out as soon as you can."
"But Yug-" Joey was starting to protest, but was cut off immediately.
"I've never felt something so evil as when I was on that stage just now! I want all of you away from here as fast as you can get away! I have to go check on Kaiba. I also have to speak with Pegasus as well. I want to know about these rumors he heard about Vex."

Yami walked away, pulled out his cellphone, and dialed Mokuba's number. After it rang for a couple of seconds, a voice answered.
"Hello?"
"Mokuba. Did you see what happened here at the Expo?" Yami asked.
"Yeah! I still can't believe it! Seto is devastated! He came up and locked himself in his room, and wouldn't even say hi to me! That's not like him!" Mokuba said, his voice frantic with worry.
"I know. Mokuba, I need a favor from you." Yami said.
"What is it?" Mokuba asked.
"I need you to make sure I don't have any problems with Kaiba Corp. security. I'm on my way there now." Yami said.
"I don't think Seto will want you here." Mokuba said, skeptically.
"Don't worry. If he tries to blame you, I'll tell him that I brainwashed you with the Millennium Puzzle." Yami said. Mokuba just laughed in response.
"All right. I'm notifying security now. Come on up." Mokuba said

When Yami arrived at the penthouse suite that Kaiba stays in, security immediately let him through upon his arrival. Mokuba greeted Yami when he arrived.
"How is he?" Yami asked.
"Still the same. He's been locked in that room the entire time." Mokuba said with a sigh.
"Knock on the door and tell him he has a visitor, but don't tell him who it is." Mokuba nodded, then proceeded.
"Seto? Seto, you have a visitor." Mokuba said, tentatively.
"Tell them to go away! I'm not interested in social calls." Kaiba said. Yami motioned Mokuba away from the door, and spoke to Kaiba himself.
"Even if it's me, Kaiba?" Yami asked. Immediately Yami heard ruslting behind the door, and then the door opened.
"How did you get past security!?" Kaiba asked incredulously. Before Mokuba could say anything, Yami beat him to it.
"There isn't a security system that you can buy that could stop me from checking up on you after what happened out there." Yami said, matter-of-factly. Kaiba spun around and slammed his fist into the wall, screaming in frustration.
"Seto..." Mokuba said, concerned.
"If you're wondering why we won't just leave you alone, the answer is simple; we care too much for you. Believe it or not, even Joey was cheering for you." Yami said with a chuckle.
"Why would I care what that mutt thinks!?" Seto asked, seething.
"You're missing the point, Kaiba." Yami said, sternly.
"Just what is the point!? Did you come up here just to spew the same 'friendship' garbage that you've been spewing for years!? I don't need friends! I don't need anyone!!" Kaiba screamed in rage. Then his voice dropped to a sinister whisper.
"I'm going to find Vex, and when I do he's going to regret the day that he ever learned to duel!!"

"There's a tiny flaw in your plan, Kaiba. Namely; he destroyed you like it was nothing." Kaiba's rage was about to explode again, but Yami cut him off.
"You lost! So what!? Everyone loses! Everyone! The only thing you can do is rebuild and try again."
"Rebuild. Rebuild you say. Clearly you don't understand the significance of what just happened out there!" Kaiba spat.
"Everything I've worked so hard to build, everything, from my reputation as a duelist to my position as CEO of Kaiba Corp. is in jeopardy now!"
"How do you figure that your role as CEO of Kaiba Corp. is in jeopardy?" Yami asked.

Kaiba pulled out his smartphone, typed for a moment, then showed it to Yami. It was a statement given by the Kaiba Corp. Board of Directors to the media regarding the events which took place at the Expo.

"We cannot, in good conscience, endorse putting the employees and honored guests of Kaiba Corp. in danger by exposing them to a murderous psychopath like Vex. We simply cannot fathom what our CEO, Seto Kaiba, was thinking, other than his need to satisfy his own ego by showing the world that he is the best duelist in the world. That title, by the way, clearly belongs to Yugi Moto. So even if he had won, it wouldn't have proven anything." The statement read in part. It continued:

"We, as the Board of Directors, take full responsibility for what occured at the Kaiba Corp. Expo, because not only should we have put a stop to this before it got going, but it is now clear that Seto Kaiba should have been removed as CEO of Kaiba Corp. years ago. His egotistical narcissism has jeopardized not only innocent lives, but the reputation of this illustrious company, which existed long before Seto Kaiba was ever a known quantity." Yami couldn't help but shake his head, but continued reading.

"The only silver lining to any of this is the utter humiliation that Kaiba suffered at the hands of the monster that he selected for an opponent. It was high time that someone brought Seto Kaiba down from his delusions of grandeur, and back into reality, and the fact that it was his own handpicked opponent who did it has a certain poetic justice to it. But the public can rest assured that we, as the Board of Directors, will do everything in our power to not only prevent anything like this from happening again, but also to hold the man who's solely responsible for this, Seto Kaiba, accountable."

Much to Kaiba's chagrine, Yami laughed.
"Is this what you are so worried about, Kaiba? If so, you can stop now. This is nothing." Yami said as he handed back the phone.
"Nevermind. I should've known that you wouldn't understand." Kaiba spat.
"Seto, he's right! We have proof that the Board of Directors were the one who picked Vex to be your opponent! We can also prove that not only did you not know that Vex was the opponent they had picked until you arrived at the Expo., but that you didn't even want a duel to be part of the Expo.!" Mokuba said.
"It doesn't matter what we can prove." Kaiba said with a sigh as he sat down on a nearby sofa.
"The public doesn't care about proof. They care about face and reputation. And now with both of those tarnished, the stockholders will be calling for my head on a platter. And the Board of Directors will be all too happy to deliver."
"I wouldn't be too sure about that if I were you." Yami said, sitting next to him on the sofa.
"We're there any calls from the public to oust you as CEO after you lost to me all those years ago?" Yami asked.
"You're a different case." Kaiba said. "You're not a psychopath that'll kill people as quick as you would look at them. That part of the statement from the Board of Directors is true." Kaiba said.

"Let's see which way the winds blow over the next few days." Yami said, putting an arm around Kaiba. "If it starts playing itself out the way you're describing, you have something at your disposal that the Board of Directors will find it difficult to handle." Yami said.
"Oh really? And what might that be?" Kaiba asked, skeptically.
"Me." Yami said with a smile.
"Speaking of you, just how did you get past security?" Kaiba asked, bringing the conversation full circle.
"A small suggestion from the Millennium Puzzle goes a long way." Yami said, with a conspiratorial smile on his face. Kaiba just stared blankly at him. Then a small smile spread on his face.

"You're a bad liar, Yami. You called Mokuba, and Mokuba got you through security." Mokuba started fidgeting.
"Uh oh. Busted." Mokuba said.
"Oh you're 'busted', all right." Kaiba said, his smile getting a little wider.
"It's nice to see you're feeling a little better, Kaiba." Yami said.
"I'll 'feel better' when I get my revenge on Vex!" Kaiba said.
"Pegasus would be the best place to start. He knows the most about Vex, and I'm sure that he would be more than willing to help. After all, with you removed from Kaiba Corp., Pegasus will either terminate any future endeavors with Kaiba Corp., or he will have no choice but to deal with whatever puppet CEO the Kaiba Corp. Board of Directors puts in place. And if I know Pegasus, he won't find either of those options appealing."
"Perhaps you're right." Kaiba said after mulling it over for a minute. "I'll contact him tomorrow."
"You mean 'we'll' contact him tomorrow, Kaiba." Yami said.
"I have some questions of my own for Pegasus. For instance, the deck that Vex was using. If cards like that, that work with the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, were anywhere in the public eye, I suspect that you would've been using them." Yami said.
He then continued, "I believe that Vex has a contact within Industrial Illusions who supplies him with cards before they're released, or they custom design cards for him at his request. If the latter is the case, we can possibly lean on Pegasus in a similar manner."

Kaiba couldn't help but be impressed by Yami for thinking all this through so quickly. He then remembered what he had told Yami in the limousine about not having to worry about him. And upon remembering the two of them together in the limousine, he immediately regretted everything he said earlier.
"I owe you an apology, Yami." Kaiba said with a sigh. "I forgot for a moment who I'm talking to. You're right. We'll contact Pegasus tomorrow."

"But in the meantime..." Yami said seductively as he inched closer to Kaiba. "What will we do tonight?"
Mokuba was wide-eyed and blushing.
"Ummm. What's going on here!?" Mokuba asked.
"Yami and I are a couple now." Kaiba said.
Mokuba couldn't believe it. "What the- since when!?" Mokuba asked, stunned by the news.
"Since on the ride here to the Expo." Yami said.
"Umm... that's kind of sudden, don't you think?" Mokuba said.
"Oh not to worry. This has been building for quite some time. Hasn't it, Kaiba?" Yami said, snuggling up to Kaiba who leaned down and kissed him.
"Indeed it has." Kaiba said. Mokuba blushed deeper.
"Umm...." Mokuba said, who was too stunned to form a coherent sentence.
"Are you all right, Mokuba?" Yami asked with a smile.
"Umm... yeah, yeah. I'm fine... it's just that I never thought I'd see Seto actually have those kinds of feelings for anyone, and I especially never thought that I'd see it with you!" Mokuba said.
"He has a point, Kaiba." Yami said, playfully nibbling Kaiba's ear. Kaiba blushed beet red.

"Mokuba, do you have Pegasus's contact information?" Kaiba asked, trying to distract himself from Yami's playful seduction.
"If I don't, I can get it easy enough. We do enough business with Industrial Illusions that we should have him on speed dial." Mokuba said, also trying to distract himself from Yami's playful seduction.
"Contact him, or his secretary tonight and set up a conference call with Pegasus for some time tomorrow." Kaiba said, biting back a small moan brought on by Yami's skillful tongue.
"R-right." Mokuba said, stammering slightly as a result of what we was witnessing.
"I'll do that on my way to my friend's house." Mokuba said, hastily.
"We doing, um, a study project for science class! Yeah, and it's a lot of work so I'll probably be gone all night!" Mokuba said as he was frantically gathering things to take with him. Before Kaiba could stop him long enough to ask him anything about it, Mokuba was already out the door.

"Well well." Yami whispered in Kaiba's ear as his hand snaked down to his groin. "Alone at last." Kaiba spun around and kissed Yami as deep as as hard as he could.
"You're incorrigible!" Kaiba said in a moan as Yami's hand had found Kaiba's shaft and had started to work it.
"Now remind me. Didn't you say that you planned on having a lot more than faith in me before the night is out?" Yami said as he gave Kaiba's erection a hard jerk. Kaiba almost buckled from the pleasure.
"I'd say that this certainly qualifies as a lot more." Yami said in a breathless moan as he kissed Kaiba again.
"You're wearing too many clothes." Kaiba said in a growl as he was clawing to get Yami out of his clothes.
"So are you." Yami growled back as he was clawing to get Kaiba out of his clothes.
Once they got each other naked, they went to work immediately kissing and exploring each other.
Kaiba pushed Yami back on the sofa and started kissing lower and lower, until he finally got to Yami's erection. He began working it immediately, licking, stroking, and gently sucking the sides of it.
"You're such a tease!" Yami groaned. Then all of a sudden, Kaiba impaled Yami's shaft all the way to the hilt in his throat.

Yami bucked and groaned as Kaiba deepthroated Yami effortlessly. Soon as he was getting ready to climax, he leaned down to stop Kaiba from bringing him all the way, but Kaiba held him down and worked Yami's shaft until it exploded in his throat. Yami came hard, and it finished, he was panting and sweating.
"I wasn't trying to climax just yet Kaiba, but that was amazing!" Yami said, breathlessly.
"I've wanted to do that for far too long!" Kaiba said. He then kissed Yami deeply.
"I hope you don't think that I'm finished with you." Kaiba said.
"I had hoped that you wouldn't be." Yami said with a moan.
"I'll be right back." Kaiba said, getting up and heading to his bedroom for a moment. He came back with a bottle of lube. Yami sat up as Kaiba approached and deepthroated Kaiba's shaft in one fast movement. Kaiba gasped and bucked at the sudden wet heat that enveloped his erection. Kaiba tried to keep himself from climaxing as Yami worked his shaft with impossible skill, but failed as he came inside of Yami's throat with a groan.

Once it subsided, Kaiba just collapsed on the sofa and chuckled.
"What was that? Revenge?" Kaiba asked humorously.
"Well, turnabout is fair play Kaiba." Yami said with a smile. Yami cuddled up with Kaiba and kissed him.
"I'd like all of our nights to be like this." Kaiba said, thinking out loud.
"Like what? The two of us so excited to tear each other's clothes off that we climax before we get to the really fun part?" Yami said playfully.
"I mean us together like this." Kaiba said, laughing. Yami kissed Kaiba again, but this time in an intimate manner.

"That is easily arranged." Yami said with a smile.
