E is for Elemental
Yami took a deep breath in and released it. He raised his arms and a stream of water swept through the air, guided by his hands. He moved the water easily as one large solid string. Then he split the water apart to direct them to swirl in and around themselves.
Yami then finally swirled it all together into a large ball of water. He was about to do something with it when he noticed the water suddenly icing over. Yami frowned before sighing and messily sloshing the water back into the small pond.
“I do hate it when you do that, cousin,” Yami said, turning around.
Seto stood under a weeping willow with a telltale smirk on his face. The pond behind Yami froze over solid. Yami looked over his shoulder at before turning back around to the brunette.
“Must you? Yugi has koi in that pond,” Yami glared.
Seto rolled his eyes but unfroze the bond, anyway. He pushed off from the tree in favor of coming over to stand by his cousin.
“What brings you here, cousin? Is Mokuba with you?” Yami asked.
“Mokuba’s busy training. He froze his last instructor and the poor man never came back. I’m hoping his new teacher lasts longer,” Seto replied.
“That doesn’t answer my first question. Why are you here?” Yami demanded.
Seto rolled his eyes again.
“If you must know, cousin, I’m here investigating a lead. Rumors have it that a Shadow Elemental has been spotted around these parts. I came here, hoping you or young lover could point me in the right direction,” Seto explained.
Yami’s mouth dropped open. “A…Shadow Elemental?”
There were many Elementals throughout the world. There were Fire, Earth, and Wind Elementals, which there was a large abundance of. Yugi and Yami were both Water Elementals while Seto and Mokuba were Ice Elementals; two races that were closely intertwined. There had been a small group of Psychic Elementals that could throw you clear across a room with the blink of an eye. Sadly, that group had died out a millennium ago.
The final group of Elementals was Shadow Elementals. A very gifted group of Elementals, Shadows were said to have died out long ago, too. But they were skilled in hiding, due to their control over the shadows. It was a widely accepted belief that there were still Shadows around, but they were in hiding. As for the why, there were many theories on that.
“So…do you know anything?” Seto asked.
Yami shook his head.
“Nothing that would be relevant to your search. Why are you looking, anyway?” Yami asked.
Seto narrowed his gaze.
“It’s none of your concern.”
Yami shook his head again.
“Fine. Come on inside, Seto. I think I smell Yugi cooking lunch,” Yami said.
Seto followed Yami through the backyard and through a pair of sliding glass doors to the inside. Seto frowned when he spotted a mess of blankets and tuft of blonde hair sticking out of it on the couch.
“What. Is that?” Seto asked.
Yami followed his gaze and chuckled.
“That is a stray that wandered in with Yugi a couple of months ago. His name is Joey,” Yami said, rounding around the couch.
Seto glanced over the top of the couch. He reached down to pull part of the top blanket down but the tuft of blonde hair disappeared under the blanket. A low growl emitted from under the pile of blankets. Concerned he might be bitten, Seto pulled his hand back and followed his cousin into the kitchen.
“Good morning, Seto. Are you here for a visit?” Yugi asked, bringing over a pot of food to the table.
“Of sorts,” Seto answered, pulling a chair out and sitting.
Yami thanked Yugi with a kiss on the cheek and piled some food onto a plate. He handed it to Seto before dishing out some for Yugi. Then he took care of himself.
“I hope your dog has had its rabies shots,” Seto commented.
Yami snickered until Yugi kicked him under the table. He turned an annoyed look to the brunette.
“Joey is not a dog, Seto. Joey is a human. He just doesn’t like having his sleep disturbed. He works a lot of odd hours so every once in a while, he crashes here,” Yugi explained.
Seto began to see why Yami had referred to this Joey as a stray. Yugi asked Seto what had prompted the visit. Seto told him of his reasons being there.
“Wow. A Shadow? It’s amazing that any of them could still be alive. Well, you’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like.”

A week and a half had gone by and he was no closer to finding out if the Shadow really was here or not. Seto was currently sitting on a park bench watching the group of kids play on a playground. He saw a little girl spinning a ball of air and leaves. Smirking, he zipped a small breeze of snowflakes over to her. The little girl’s face lit up, giggling as she balanced the ball from one hand to the other.
He smiled softly as the little six-year-old skipped over to him.
“Are you an Elemental?” she asked.
Seto chuckled.
“I am, sweetie. Do you like my snowflakes?” Seto asked.
The little girl nodded before allowing the leaves and ice to float away in the air. She scrunched her face up as she looked at him.
“Why do you look sad?” the little girl asked.
Seto was grateful that he exhibited more patience with children. There was a soft spot in his heart for them.
“I’ve been looking for someone, sweetie, and I can’t seem to find them,” Seto answered honestly.
She pouted at him before a great idea seemed to come to her; if her bright smile was anything to go by. What she said next had him snapping to attention.
“You should ask the Shadow Man.”
Seto’s eyes grew wide in surprise.
“The Shadow Man?”
The little girl nodded, her pigtails flying around her with the movement.
“Uh huh. I got lost when daddy and I were traveling through the forest. But the Shadow Man found me and brought me home.”
Seto climbed off the bench and knelt in front of the child.
“This Shadow Man…have you seen him before? Does he live here?” Seto asked, trying to keep his voice from getting excited.
“I see him lots of times now! He can make the shadows dance with me. I don’t know where the Shadow Man lives.” Smile. “Do you want to meet him?”
Seto had to stop himself from breaking out in a huge smile.
“Yes. I’d very much like to meet the Shadow Man,” he told her.
Unfortunately, the little girl told him that the Shadow Man only came to visit on Friday’s. Seeing as it was only a Wednesday, Seto was disappointed, but he didn’t let it show. He promised the little girl he would return tomorrow to show him more ice. The happy little girl, who finally introduced herself as Maya, ran off to play with her friends after giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Smiling, Seto stood back up and wandered back to the house. He was surprised when he found only Yugi in the house. He wasn’t surprised about Yami; the man was training in trying a new defensive move outside in the yard. However, Seto was surprised to not find the blonde stray around. He noticed the blanket on the couch was folded on the end of the couch with a pillow on top of it. Earlier in the week, he had actually seen the blonde come in one night when he was up in the middle of the night.
When questioned on the blonde’s whereabouts, Yugi shrugged. He wasn’t sure where Joey was, as he hadn’t been by since last night. The afternoon passed and delved into the evening. Seeing as it was the full moon was approaching in the next day, the two Water Elementals and Ice Elemental were running on high energy. Sensing what was going on between the two Water Elementals, Seto went on a late walk.
His body was humming with energy. A few weeks ago, he had broken things off with Kisara, another Ice Elemental, so he had no cool body to help exert that energy on. He found himself walking through a park when he was suddenly stopped by a voice.
“Well, well, well, what do we have here, boys?”
When Seto looked up, he found a group of four men closing in around him. Their leader had a dark smirk on his face. Seto blew out a stream of cold air in a clear warning.
“Why don’t you dogs run home?” Seto growled.
Seto noticed a ring of fire circling around one of the leader’s hands. Fire Elementals were not easy to fight against, but with the strength of the almost full moon, Seto knew he had the advantage.
“It’s not often we get icicles around these parts,” the leader chuckled.
Seto threw him a smirk.
“At least I’m not soot under a horse’s hoof,” Seto sneered.
With that said, the fight was on. The Fire Elementals relied on the grass to fuel their fire, but Seto turned it into steam with a large wave of ice across the grass. The fight was going well, in Seto’s favor, until he knocked out one of the gang members. From then on the battle intensified.
Seto found himself struggling to breathe when they managed to corner him against a handball wall. He had managed to avoid getting burned up until this moment. The leader summoned a large ball of fire to his hand. He raised it up and hurled it at him. Seto didn’t turn his head away as it came closer and closer.
It was a foot away from his chest when something suddenly caught it. The four Elementals all glanced down. Standing in between them was a large black Shadow in the form of a tiger-like beast. It had smoke pouring out of its mouth. It bore its teeth in a deep growl directed at the leader.
“That’s not real friendly of you gents. Four on one doesn’t seem fair,” said an unfamiliar voice.
They all whipped around to see a dark clothed blonde walking across the blacktop. He had a smart smirk on his face. Seto recognized the blonde instantly as Yugi’s stray, Joey. Glancing at the creature and then the blonde, Seto suddenly realized what Joey was.
Yugi and Yami were making out in the armchair when Seto unexpectedly appeared out of nowhere. He landed on the couch with a low groan. The two lovers separated and jumped to their feet.
“Cousin? Where in the name of the moon did you come from?” Yami asked, coming to his side.
Seto groaned again as Yami helped him to sit up. He turned his gaze to a worried-looking Yugi.
“Did you know?” he asked in a low voice.
Yugi frowned with a shake of his head.
“Come again?”
Seto glared.
“Did. You. Know?” Seto demanded, his voice much louder this time.
It was then Yugi saw the mild burns on the Ice’s arm. Seto could see the gears running in Yugi’s mind. Suddenly, Yugi gasped.
“You mean Joey. Where is he? That’s how you got here,” Yugi said, all in a rush.
Seto nodded as he climbed to his feet. He explained what had happened in the park. Yugi gasped.
“What about Joey?” Yugi asked.
Seto shrugged.
“Soon as I got burned, he threw me through the shadows and I landed here.”
Yugi looked like he was going into a full-out panic attack. Yami placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Yugi?”
Yugi ignored him in favor of questioning Seto further.
“Did any of his shadows get hit with fire? Not like catching it, but getting hit with it.”
Seto thought back on it. Before Joey had caught his arm and flung him through the shadows, the tiger-like shadow had jumped in front of them. The beast had taken a full fiery hit to its back. Yugi’s eyes grew wide in fright before he yanked his shoulder out of his lover’s grasp. He surprised both taller males by calling out for Joey.
“Joey! Joey!”
They exchanged a glance, watching the youth as he looked all around the room.
“Joey, please!” the male cried out.
Yami moved to calm his hysterical lover. Suddenly, the shadow of the lamp on the bedside table moved over the couch and Joey appeared on said couch. The blonde appeared to be unconscious, but let out a groan when Yugi knelt down and touched his shoulder.
“Yami, help me move him on his stomach,” Yugi ordered.
Yami and Yugi gently flipped the heavy body onto his stomach. Yugi pulled up the back of his shirt to reveal severe second degree burns. All three men winced. Joey nearly leapt off the couch when Yugi put a hand on one of the less burned areas. Instead he shifted back through the shadows, leaving the two lovers to fall down onto the couch in surprise.
Seto glanced down the hall and saw a shadow disappear into the guest room he had been staying in. Yugi scrambled to his feet and started to shout again for Joey, but Yami stopped him. He watched his cousin disappear down the hall and into the bedroom, closing the door gently behind him.
Seto’s eyes adjusted to the dark and he was able to easily locate the injured blonde. He was curled into a ball on the queen sized bed with one side resting against a wall. The brunette noticed that in between the couch and bed, Joey had cast off his shirt. Seto sent a stream of cold air that danced over the other Elemental’s back. He watched the male shiver as he approached the bed.
“I can cool down those burns…Shadow.”
He heard a small, watery chuckle. “ ‘s yer fault I got da burns…Ice.”
Seto returned the chuckle. He climbed onto the bed until he was resting on his knees next to the curled male. He made his hand cool, but not freezing. He ran it ever so lightly over the burns on Joey’s back. It earned him a contented groan that stirred something deep down in him. He ran his hand back up over the burns, only a little rougher.
The Shadow Elemental shivered and uncurled his body. Seto took that as a silent consent for him to care for the burns. Because of the stability of the bed, Seto swung a leg over Joey’s waist and settled gently on him. Joey stiffened, but he seemed to relax when two cool hands ran over his back.
“I don’t know very much about you, Shadow,” Seto whispered, as he leaned down.
Joey made an hmm sound.
“Ya know muh name and ‘m a Shadow.” Grunt. “ ‘m used to da cold, Ice. ‘m more active durin’ da day.”
Joey grunted and squirmed as Seto finished cooling down the burns. Now that the burns were cooled, Seto could begin healing them. Healing was an ability that both Water and Ice Elementals possessed. Seto was having the hardest time concentrating on the task at hand; all the delicious sounds the Shadow was making were going straight to his groin.
He started with a small patch of skin that had a less severe burn. He had never healed a Shadow before so he wasn’t quite sure this would work. He created a thin veil of ice over his hands before melting it and laying his wet hands down on the burn. As he predicted, the Shadow nearly came off the bed. Seto leaned down to keep the other male’s body down and still. He blew a breeze of cold air over his ear, causing him to shiver again.
“You’re not making this easy, Shadow,” Seto cautioned him.
The other male’s scent was driving him crazy. He couldn’t resist giving the back of his neck a little nip. What surprised him was the throaty groan and buck-up he got in response.
“ ‘s not fair, Ice,” Joey mumbled.
Seto chuckled as he nipped him again, but with a little more pressure. Joey whimpered and squirmed underneath him. Seto licked across the back of his neck to his ear. He caught the lobe in his mouth and suckled on it. It distracted the blonde from the healing. He released the lobe with a little nip on the end. Seto grounded down against the body underneath his, delighting in the groan he heard.
“You’ve told me about you. But you don’t know anything about me,” Seto whispered to him, sliding his hands up to the more severe burns.
Joey chuckled from underneath him. He closed his eyes as he spoke.
“Seto Kaiba. Ice Elemental. Got a broder named Mokuba. Ya call him Mokie sometimes. He’s an Ice, too. Yami’s yer cousin on yer dad’s side. Yer birthday is October 25.”
Seto chuckled as he pressed a few light kisses across Joey’s shoulder blades.
“I stand corrected. Are all Shadows so knowledgeable?” Seto whispered.
Joey squinted his closed eyes harder. “I wouldn’t know. I’m the last of my kind.”
Seto winced. He finished healing the blonde’s back. Wrapping his arms underneath the blonde and around his stomach, Seto laid down gently on top of him. He gently kissed the back of Joey’s head. The blonde made an hmm sound at the back of his throat.
“I’m sorry, Joey.”
In the blink of an eye, Seto found himself sitting up against the headboard with a playful blonde settled on his lap. His bright brown eyes were lit up like a mischievous imp. Seto tried to bring his hands up to place them on the blonde’s hips but he found he couldn’t. Looking down, he saw that a bit of shadows were wrapped around each wrist, bounding them down at his sides. He looked up with a raised eyebrow. Joey leaned in close with a playful smirk on his face.
“I nevah said ya couldn’ call me Shadow. ‘s what I am,” Joey told him.
Seto raised the other eyebrow. He moved his wrists to see how much movement he did (or didn’t) have.
“And my wrists?” he hinted with a smirk of his own.
Joey winked. “My turn to play.”
Seto made an hmm sound as the blonde crossed the small distance and connected their mouths. Joey cradled his head with both hands. He allowed the Shadow to slip a tongue into his mouth, but it was him who maintained the control. His tongue bumped and swirled around Joey’s, making sure to suck on it to give the Shadow more reason to shiver.
Joey pulled away and attacked his neck. Seto leaned his head back as the blonde nipped and sucked at every piece of skin he came across. Unlike with his own clothes, Joey didn’t use the shadows to make his disappear. He stripped Seto slowly, starting with his shirt. He licked along his collarbone before attaching his attention and lips to a nipple.
Seto swore and bucked up against the other Elemental. When the button-up shirt got caught by his wrists, Seto thought Joey would banish the bonds. Except Joey banished the shirt, leaving his chest bare. Joey bit the little pebble but soothed the ache with small licks and a suckle.
“Fuck, Shadow,” Seto groaned.
Joey chuckled before releasing the pebble to attack its twin. At the same time, his hands were roaming all over. One hand slipped down to cup him through his pants. His pants were already tight, but no one had lit up his body this easily. So it was worth it.
However, his patience snapped like a twig when the mouth moved to ghost just above his heat and it didn’t go lower. Joey suddenly found himself on his knees with his hands iced down to the headboard. His new playmate was evidently much faster and more skilled than he had anticipated. He groaned as his body was maneuvered to the Ice Elemental’s liking.
He was made to sit back on Seto’s thighs with the brunette’s chest pressed up to his back. There was one arm wrapped around his chest while the other was gripping him through his jeans. Seto blew a steady stream of cold air across the back of his neck and ear. He licked at the back of his ear before pressing his lips to it.
“You are such a tease. And I know you enjoy every second of it. But I’m going to enjoy returning the favor.”
Seto rocked up against Joey, earning him a low whimper and trembling. He suspected that no one had taken care of the blonde before. He would be honored to fix that. Seto’s thumb began running circles over a nipple while the other hand slowly pumped the Shadow’s trapped member.
“No one has ever made me act this way. I don’t like total submission, but make no mistake, I don’t bottom.” Seto purposely groaned in his ear, forcing a groan out of his captive. “You feel so good here. Under me. At my mercy.”
Joey groaned in agreement. He wasn’t too keen on not being able to move his hands, but the other male felt so good. He was wrapped around him just like the shadows; it felt like home. Like he had finally found someone. His new lover seemed like he could read his mind. He pressed a warm kiss to his cheek.
“I take good care of those in my life. You should know that I can be quite possessive.” Joey snorted, making them both smile. “But I won’t hurt you. I’ll make sure you’ll know and feel just how much I can care.”
Joey moaned and whimpered. While he had been talking, Seto had slipped both hands down to unbuckle his belt. With it undone, he had slipped the blonde’s jeans and boxers down. The only thing separating the cock and entrance was a thin pair of pants and boxers.
Seto bit into Joey’s neck a little harder than he meant to. He could already feel the heat radiating off the blonde’s body, but it was worse below. If he was a betting man, he would say the Shadow in his arms still had his innocence intact. He soothed the bite mark with licks and a blow of cold air.
His teeth sunk in again when Joey purposely pressed himself down onto the hard member. That was more than enough of consent for him. Seto backed off a little so he could slide a hand down the blonde’s backside. Joey whined at the back of his throat when he felt a cold, wet finger press against his entrance. It slowly slipped in as Joey relaxed his muscles.
“Hmm. You’re so tight, love. I’ll have to spend a long time preparing you. Ice Elementals are particularly good at it. First, I’ll use my tongue. I’ll lick and suck at you, but I won’t let you come. Hmm, not yet.”
Fuck. He had observed the brunette for so long and yet he had had no evidence that showed him how seductive the man could be. The only reason he hadn’t already come was due to the strong hand gripping his base. He would have come twice already had it not been for that.
“I know what I’ll do next. I’ll tease you a little more with my cock. I’ll rub against you…press against that tight ring until just the tip goes in. And I’ll wait. I won’t let you move and I’ll wait. Wait until you’re begging me to take you. Begging me to make you see stars.”
Yami’s cousin was going to see stars if he didn’t stop torturing him!

When Yami walked into the kitchen the next morning, he found a shirtless Joey was leaning against a kitchen counter with a coffee mug. He was taking a sip when Yami chuckled.
“Whatcha laughin’ at?” Joey asked.
Yami gestured to his body. There were several red marks and bite marks all over his neck and upper body. Had the blonde been without his pants, Yami suspected he would find even more there.
“It seems someone had a fun night. It brings a smile to my face to know that my cousin showed his gratitude so…strongly.”
Joey snorted into his coffee. He took another sip before holding his cup down.
“Yer cousin betta not heere ya talkin’ ‘bout him like dat. He wouldn’ like that,” Joey teased back.
Yami shrugged. They were often at each other’s throats. It would be nothing new. He moved around Joey to pour himself a cup of hot coffee.
“Where is my cousin? It’s not like him to sleep in,” Yami said.
Joey waited until Yami was taking a sip to answer him.
“Poor guy finally fell asleep. I wore him out. Think I may have made the poor man melt.”
Yami choked and coughed as the coffee burned down the wrong lung. Joey chuckled as he sipped at his coffee. When he was done coughing, Yami shot him an ugly look.
“Personally, I’m surprised you are still standing,” Yami said, walking over to the kitchen table to sit down.
Joey squinted his face up.
“Standin’s not da problem,” Joey answered.
Yami chuckled.
“Yes. Well, my cousin does have a big ego,” Yami said.
Joey smirked. “Dat’s not the only thing dat’s big.”
A coughing Yami shoved his coffee mug away. It was obvious he wasn’t getting any coffee until Joey stopped making him choke. Yugi soon joined them, making himself comfortable on Yami’s lap. Seto didn’t join them until a little later.
He wrapped an arm around the blonde’s waist and pressed a kiss to Joey’s shoulder. He shot his cousin a lazy look as he pressed up against the Shadow’s back and laid his head on his shoulder.
“What’s the matter, Yami? Cat got your tongue?” Seto teased.
Yami glared. Joey chuckled.
“He got tired of chokin’ on his coffee,” Joey told him.
Turning his head with a chuckle, Seto smirked at his new lover.
“Did you do that thing with your tongue?” Seto asked.
Yami paled while Yugi bit his lip to keep from laughing at his lover. Joey bit his lip in a mock coy manner.
“I could ‘ave, but ya made me swear not ta. Ya know when ya had me nice and–”
“IT WAS BAD ENOUGH WHEN IT WAS JUST SETO! YUGI, MAKE THEM STOP!”

*fans herself* I forget sometimes how intense Seto Kaiba can be in writing. Even when I’m the one doing the writing.
