Ryou POV

I opened my arms to my father and he hugged me for the first time since we met. I don�t know why he hugged me. After telling him I had to pack Bakura�s things, he stepped away and Bakura followed me up the stairs. I helped him pack. I sat at the edge of the bed folding his clothes. My head still felt kind of feverish, but I wanted to help my yami.

He�s going to stay with Marik and Malik. Bakura wasn�t going to sleep by my side. My Bakura�.would not hold me in his arms. My Bakura�would not be there to stroke my cheek. He will be a few blocks away, but he will always have a place close to my heart where he belongs.
Somehow I would find you, move heaven and earth to be by your side

Bakura�s POV

My hikari opened my suitcase and I handed him three of my favorite blue shirts. When I handed him the clothing, our fingers touched. Ryou sat still for a moment looking up at me with his large brown eyes. I would die a thousand deaths to look into those eyes if only for a moment. I fell him against me, I would undergo the worst torture. I would do anything for him, my little hikari. I would do anything for his touch�for his love�..

No mountain could ever stand between us

No ocean could ever be that wide

Ryou�s POV

Wherever my yami goes, he knows I am always with him. Nothing can separate us and the love we have for each other. I never gave up on my yami. Bakura may be leaving for a little while, but nothing can ever separate us. Our love will see us through��.If that is true, why am I crying?

Bakura looked down at Ryou wiping his tear from his eye. �Ryou?�

Ryou took in a deep breath and coughed into his yami�s clothing. Bakura gently caressed Ryou�s hair. �I would do anything for you, Ryou. I want you to be happy. I will always be with you, even if I cannot be beside you.�

The Millenium Ring dangled between us as we embraced. That little Ring brought us together in the first place. He was destined to own it. �Nothing will tear us apart, Ryou. I will be with you always.� I removed the Millenium Ring from my neck and placed it around Ryou�s neck. �Your father gave you this as a present. You should keep it with you. With it always with you, it will be a constant reminder of my presence. And your wedding band will always be a testament to our undying love.
I gave you my word; I would be there for you

Bakura�s POV

I promised my mortal half that I would always be there for him. Till death do us part. That held a special meaning to me. With this ring, I thee wed. I took his hand and I kissed his ring, the symbol of our everlasting love.

�One morning I promised to love you forever. One morning I promised to care for you. And that one morning I have lived over and over in my mind. Nothing will change the vows I made to you that morning.�

Our fingers entwined and we held onto each other. I wished this moment would never end, that Bakura would not leave me, that it would never come down to this. In his arms, the passage of time seemed to fade. Every morning when I woke up, I saw those eyes�every time I watched him intently, we connected. I looked into my yami�s eyes. They were compassionate,

Ryou pulled Bakura on top of him on the bed. Ryou held him close and deepened the kiss desperately. The boy breathed in as deeply as possible to inhale Bakura�s spicy cologne with a hint of cinnamon. The yami kissed down Ryou�s neck gently kissing and licking his way down the base of Ryou�s red neck.

�What I wouldn�t give to stay like this, yami! I want to be with you so badly. I�ll miss you tonight. It will be the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life not to have you beside me.�

�Nothing will ever break us apart, my angel. I will be here for you until the end of time. Your father may think that he has won, that I am leaving because of him. No, Ryou. He told me this would never tear us apart. It may not destroy our relationship, but the thought of his absence tears me up inside. No matter where he is, our love would always find a way to reunite us.

Bakura brushed away Ryou�s hair lovingly and kissed his forehead. �I would do anything for you , Ryou. And if it means that you and your father will speak again, I would do anything to make you happy.�

Bakura hugged Ryou tighter. �I would swim the Nile for you, Ryou. I would do anything or go anywhere for you.�

Ryou whimpered into Bakura�s chest.

Bakura slowly rose and placed a few more sets of clothes into the luggage and zipped it up. Bakura pulled the bag over his shoulder and carried the luggage out of the room.

Steven stayed at the door and opened it for Bakura.

Bakura crossed in front of Steven and stopped. �I will not hear of Ryou being mistreated.�

Ryou stood at the door watching his yami walk to the car. �Bakura��.�

�I never want to hear his name again, Ryou. He is a memory. He never lived here. He never met you. He is nothing to you��just a face in the crowd�.and a thorn in my side.�

I watched my lover walk slowly to the car. My father put his arm around me and I covered my mouth as a sob wracked my fragile frame. �You�You�ve made the right decision, Ryou. Now maybe we can forget about this mess you created,� my father said to me.

Bakura put his luggage in the car and turned around to me, the sunlight glimmering off his own tears. In the sunlight, his hair shimmered.

// I will always love you, Ryou, my love. I will be with you until the end of time. // came through our mindlink to me.

I wish there was another way, yami. I miss you already�.and it hurts. I responded.

He gave me a mental kiss and he opened the door of the car. I looked up at my dad who glared at Bakura�s departure. He looked pleased�and I knew why. He thought he won.

Ryou�s POV

The car pulled away with Bakura looking out the back. I ran to the street as fast as my weak legs could carry me. I waved my hands as the car left with the love of my life in the back seat waving back to me. His face struggled with the same smile I tried to wear. As the car increased its distance from the house, a little piece of me was torn away. My Bakura�.my yami�..my�husband�.my immortal half.

�I LOVE YOU, BAKUUUUURAAAAAAAA!!!� I yelled as loud as I could with congested lungs. When the car disared red down the block, I looked into the empty street�.my new wasteland without my yami�s presence.

I fell to the ground on my knees on the pavement. My chest heaved with the sudden burst of stamina and the pain of Bakura�s absence. �I love you, yami,� I whispered to the ground as if I was in prayer. �I�ll love you forever and ever. Nothing can keep me from you forever, my love.�

I kept telling myself that this would make everything better between me and my dad. Willing to swallow my pride a little, I was forced to give up what meant the most to me in the world�.my Bakura. Dad came behind me and lifted me off the ground. He put his arm around me and led me back into the house. I tried not to show my tears to my father. I didn�t know if he would scream at me for being a woman.

He turned to me and said, �Now you are a man, my son.�

Next Chappie: Ryou tries to mend his relationshihilehile Marik and Bakura discuss theirs. I was going to put in a really short lemon with Malik x Marik. (Basically, Bakura is in another room next to theirs and they are �uh�..going at it and Bakura knocks on the wall for them to calm down. Do you guys want a really really short lemon scene in there? It won�t be too long, just enough.). I have a foursome planned later for a completely different chappie, so this one is an optional lemon for you guys. I promise to section off the lemon in the fic with (********). I already have that chappie written, but I can add a little lemon in for laughs. Let me know.
