Shopping, Sex and Fruitcake
Chapter 3
@-->-->----
The moment Seto opened his eyes, he knew something had gone very wrong. He could tell from how rested he felt that he had slept for more than the few hours he had intended to. Rolling over onto his side, he took one look at his Blue Eyes White Dragon clock and cursed loudly.
Ten o'clock! He'd slept in until ten o'clock!
As he showered and dressed as swiftly as he could, Seto wondered why no one had come to wake him up. Mokuba usually came and pounced on him if he slept in as late as this. Then there was Wheeler... Surely he was wondering what had happened the night before and why Seto hadn't woken him up - so why hadn't he barged in and woken Seto to find out? It would be like him to do that.
Seto had the strongest feeling that his plans had gone even more awry than his waking up late.
Normally, Seto would have just asked one of the maids if she had seen Mokuba or Wheeler and found them that way, but since Sunday was the day all the staff had off... All he could do was look for them.
Striding through the halls of the mansion searching for his little brother and soon-to-be lover, Seto was acutely aware of how quiet the house was. He shook off the thought that perhaps Wheeler had already gone home. He knew the blonde well enough to know that he'd be annoyed at him for not waking him up and spending the night with him as they'd planned - there was no way he'd leave until he'd demanded an explanation about it, at least. It was more likely that Mokuba had dragged him off to play more video games.
Except that all the games rooms were empty of both a raven-haired boy and a golden-haired teen.
Kaiba fought back a wave of irrational fear as he looked in his little brother's room and noticed that the bed hadn't been made. Mokuba had not been kidnapped for a while, true, but that didn't mean that he was overdue for it to happen again. He'd probably just gone out without bothering to make his bed. Seto had scolded him for it enough times to know it was something he did all too often.
He looked in his office and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the piece of paper on his desk. He did not run to it... he just walked very quickly. The note was short and Seto arched an eyebrow over it even as a slight smile curved his lips.
'Seto, Joey and I are outside making a snowman. Come join us when you wake up! Mokuba'
Although normally the prospect of spending time outside in the cold playing with snow wouldn't have appealed to him very much, on this occasion Seto headed straight for the kitchen door. The thought of seeing Wheeler with his cheeks pink from the cold and his warm eyes shining with enjoyment from making a snowman - and Seto was sure they would be - was too great a temptation for him to resist.
As soon as he entered the kitchen, another piece of paper caught his eye. Oddly, it had the same message on it.
His curiosity sparked, Seto headed for the kitchen door and went outside into the kitchen garden. He looked around, knowing Mokuba and Wheeler had to be close. The back garden was the only place with enough empty space to make a snowman. He and Mokuba had found that out in the past. Hearing laughter coming from over behind the greenhouse, Seto smiled. "Found you."
Seto's smile lasted until he rounded the greenhouse and caught sight of Mokuba and Wheeler putting the finishing touches to... to...
"What in the world is that?"
Mokuba and Joey whirled around and Seto learned what the expression 'deer in the headlights' meant. They stared at him with wide, shocked eyes as they stood frozen in place. Considering what they'd made... Seto wasn't surprised at their reaction at all.
It was a snowman. Or at least... it was made out of snow. It wasn't one of the traditional 'three balls of snow stacked on top of each other with a scarf, a hat, a pipe and a carrot nose' snowmen that Seto had been expecting, however. This was... somewhat more creative.
Seto arched an eyebrow as he warily approached the... creation... and slowly circled it. His second eyebrow joined the first when he got around to the front of the creation.
His first thought - upon seeing the snowman from the back - had been that Mokuba had raided his closet. The snowman was wearing one of his trenchcoats. Closer inspection revealed that he'd actually raided the attic. Seto remembered putting the coat up there a few months earlier.
His second thought - upon seeing the snowman from the side - had been curiosity about how they'd attached an old duel disk to the arm of the trenchcoat.
His third thought - upon seeing the snowman from the front... Well his mind had pretty much gone blank at that point.
Instead of just being three balls of snow, Mokuba and Joey had carefully shaped and sculpted the snowman so it had a more human form. It was quite slender - as if a regular snowman had gone on a 'sugar free snow' diet - and was rather fashionably dressed in a dark blue trenchcoat with a duel disk cleverly tied on so it looked as if the snowman was holding it. Mokuba had obviously had a lot of fun in the attic, since he had also found two small baubles of blue glass to use as eyes. Seto vaguely remembered them as being part of their Christmas decorations two years earlier - when Mokuba had gone through his 'blue and silver' period.
All in all, it was a very good snowman. There was just one little problem with it.
Or rather... it was the fact that it wasn't little that made it a problem.
Seto stared at the very large, very detailed, shaft protruding through the front of the snowman's trenchcoat for several minutes before finally finding his voice again. "Considering how much it looks like me in other areas, I am not sure if I should take the size of its endowment as a compliment or not."
Joey grinned and came over to stand beside him. "It's a compliment."
Seto looked at him and smiled wryly. "Meaning that it was your idea."
"Well... it was more like... I was inspired."
From the look in Wheeler's eyes, Seto had a feeling he didn't want to know. But he asked anyway. "By me?"
"Nah. The coat and duel disk were Mokuba's idea. While we were lookin' for 'em in the attic we came across the baubles and figured 'why not?'. The idea to make it like this came from a manga I saw in a bookshop a few weeks back. It was one of those Christmas theme ones that have been poppin' up lately. I had a look in it. There was more sex in that book than Duke's bedroom, but there was also this scene where all the characters got together and made a snowman, complete with all the bits and pieces. It looked like fun." Joey shrugged. "You mad?"
Seto had to think about that for a few seconds, but he finally shook his head. "I believe I am still too stunned to be anything else. Although... the next time you decide to make something like this, I would appreciate it if you did not involve my younger brother."
"But Seto... it's not like it has anything I don't have!" Mokuba pouted. "It's just got more of it."
Both teens looked at the younger boy, then at each other. "He's got a point," Joey pointed out.
Seto nodded. "True. Especially the 'more of it' part."
"Seto!"
As Mokuba glared at his big-mouthed big brother, Joey burst out laughing. "Ouch!" He winked at Mokuba, then arched an eyebrow at Kaiba. "So I guess that means we got it the right size then, huh? I mean, you'd never say that if it was bigger than yours too, right?"
Seto ignored the heat he could feel rising in his cheeks and pretended he hadn't heard that question - focusing instead on the fact that Mokuba was laughing so hard he'd fallen over and was now wiggling in the snow. "Mokuba... you had best go inside and get into some dry clothes before you get a cold."
Mokuba was still snickering as he picked himself up. He didn't go right away though. "Big brother... where did you find the message that told you where we were?" There was a predatory gleam in his eyes and from the way Wheeler was also suddenly focused on him, Seto knew something was up.
"My office, if you mean the first one. I found a second note in the kitchen." He frowned as Wheeler groaned and Mokuba cheered and started jumping up and down. "Mokuba? What is going on?"
"We had a bet. I was sure you'd look for a note in the kitchen, but Mokuba said you'd go to your office. Guess he was right." Joey pouted.
"I see. What was the bet for?" Seto wasn't sure he liked the idea of his little brother making wagers.
"A chocolate chip cookie." Mokuba was now dancing in the snow.
For some reason, Seto wasn't surprised the wager involved food. Not when it had been a wager between Wheeler and his little brother. "I see. Well I am sure you will get your cookie later. Right now... go and get into something dry."
"Yes, big brother." Mokuba grinned at him and then poked his tongue out at Joey before running off.
Joey watched him go, then looked at Kaiba. "So how come ya didn't wake me last night?"
Seto smiled a little, pleased that Wheeler seemed to have forgotten the size question he'd asked a few minutes earlier. "It was late by the time I finished and you seemed so comfortable..." He paused, thinking back to the lump on the couch that had been Wheeler the night before. "Well... you were still asleep so you could not have been as uncomfortable as you looked."
Joey chuckled. "Yeah, I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages. That couch was comfy."
Making a mental note to curl up with Wheeler on the couch at some point, Seto nodded. "Anyway... I thought that since it was so late, we would have more time together today. If you still wish to?"
"Definitely!" Joey's grin faded and he winced. "Except I promised Yug I'd help him and his Gramps to do some stuff in their store this afternoon. I'm really sorry, Kaiba. We arranged it last week and I had no idea you and me were gonna..."
Seto stopped Wheeler's rambling the best way he could think of.
When he eased back from the kiss, he smiled smugly at the stunned expression on the blonde teen's face. "It is perfectly understandable, Wheeler. I should have asked if you already had plans for the day, instead of just assuming."
Seto fought back the frustration he felt. He had waited this long to have Wheeler in his bed. He could wait a bit longer. "When do you have to go?"
Joey looked at his watch and winced again. "Um... I said I'd be there in about an hour."
"Just enough time for you to get warmed up and for the three of us to have something to eat. I will have my driver take you there, so there is no rush." Seto lightly stroked Wheeler's cheek and wondered just how long it would take to make Wheeler his in the physical sense of the word.
Probably longer than an hour.
Which was about how long he'd most likely need to stand in a cold shower after Wheeler left, if he didn't stop touching him.
Especially with the way Wheeler was nuzzling his hand and the 'I want you so bad' look in his eyes.
Seto forced himself to lower his hand. "So... are you doing anything tonight?"
Joey sighed and nodded. "Yeah. My old man works shifts and he's not home most nights, so he doesn't care if I'm there or not, but he doesn't work Sunday night. I'll need to be home."
Mentally cursing his bad luck, Seto nodded. "I see. So I guess I will not see you again until school..." He scowled as he remembered. "I have a meeting. I will be missing school tomorrow." He looked at Wheeler and frowned slightly. "Tomorrow afternoon?"
Joey grinned. "Of course. I promised ya I'd help to find Mokuba some Christmas presents, didn't I? I never back down from a challenge. I'm yours every afternoon after school for the whole week."
That put a rather interesting image into Seto's mind, but he quickly focused on the more important question. "Just the afternoons?" He tried not to sound too hopeful. Or obvious.
"Well... If ya think you'll have the energy for anything else after we face the Christmas crowds each afternoon..." Joey arched an eyebrow. "I'm game to try if you are."
Seto considered that for a few seconds before nodding. "Bring a few changes of clothing with you to school each day. If we do become worn out from the shopping, at least we might be able to end up in the same bed." He smiled wryly as Joey grinned and nodded.
"That sounds good to me, Kaiba. So... did you say somethin' before about lunch? I'm starvin'. Makin' all that manmeat really worked up an appetite!" Joey winked at Kaiba.
"I have no doubt of that at all. Although I suspect that we do not have enough time to satisfy the particular craving you probably have right now." Seto smiled as Joey burst out laughing.
"Well... if we hurry back we might be able to get in some kissin' time."
It had always impressed Seto how quickly Wheeler was able to grasp the most important aspects of a situation. "I believe we have around ten minutes until Mokuba will be finished changing."
Joey grinned and nodded. "Last one back to the house has to hold the shopping bags tomorrow night." He immediately set off at a creditable sprint.
There were four reasons why Seto didn't take up the challenge. Firstly - because he was Seto Kaiba and Seto Kaiba never 'raced'. Secondly - he was quite enjoying the sight of Wheeler's long legs moving and his motion kept making his coat lift up to reveal tantalising glimpses of the blonde's rear end. Thirdly - even if he was last back to the house, any shopping they did would be getting delivered on Christmas Eve, anyway. No shopping bags to carry. Finally - now that he was alone with the snowman, Seto could finally satisfy his curiosity about something.
Making sure no one was looking, Seto moved over to the snowman. He checked again for observers - you could not be too paranoid when you were about to do something embarrassing - and then carefully eased one side of the trenchcoat to the side. He sighed. "I knew it..." Seto twitched the coat back into place and then set off back to the house.
Trust Wheeler to make a snow-Kaiba who had not only a phallus the size of a breadbox, but also balls the size of grapefruit. A compliment? Perhaps... But it was also quite a lot of expectation to live up to.
Seto looked down at the front of his pants and smiled wryly. Wheeler would just have to be content with a large salami and a pair of plums.
He sighed as he realised what he had just thought.
"Wonderful... Now he has me thinking in terms of food as well."
Seto walked a little faster, hoping that his exertion would take care of his rising salami before Mokuba had a chance to spot it and point it out - loudly, no doubt - to Wheeler.
Monday night could not come soon enough.
