Jaden and Syrus wake up in each other’s arms the next morning, completely nude. Neither of them even bothered to put on pajamas after their night of passion last night.
“Good morning Sy,” Jaden greets his new boyfriend while playing with his hair.
“Morning Jay,” the little uke replies.
“You don’t have any regrets about last night, do you?” Jaden asks, worried about his little uke’s feelings about last night.
“It was the first time I’ve really had fun in a while!” As he says this, Syrus hugs Jaden.
Jaden smirks. “Good.” He looks down to see Sy’s little dick is hard. “I see your ‘friend’ is happy to be up too.”

As Syrus leaves class to attend lunch, the teachers tells Syrus that Chancellor Sheppard needs to see him right away. Syrus immediately thinks, ‘What if the school found out me and Jaden are sharing the same dorm room and wanna separate us?’
Syrus starts to walk to the chancellor’s office when Jaden stops him.
“What’s up Sy?”
“I need to go to Chancellor Sheppard’s office. What if they…you know…found out about us?” Syrus looks like he’s about to cry.
“Well they were bound to catch their mistake sooner or later. But you can try to convince them to let us stay in the same dorm room. I’ll come with you if you want.”
“No that’s ok. I don’t want you to get in trouble. Just go to lunch.”
Jaden gives Sy a worried look. “Ok if you say so….later.” Jaden runs to the cafeteria. Syrus slowly walks to Chancellor Sheppard’s office, thinking about what it would be like without Jaden.
……
In the chancellor’s office, Syrus takes a seat while Chancellor Sheppard quickly gets some paperwork. He sits back down and reviews Syrus’ folder.
“So Syrus, I understand there was a mistake with your living arrangements.”
“Y-yes sir?” Syrus responds with a little fear in his voice.
“I see here you’ve been paired up with another student, a Jaden Yuki. Now your parents requested you get your own room because of, well you know. I apologize for the error and I will make arrangements to move Mr. Yuki to another dorm.”
“Sir, can I ask you something?”
“Yes?”
“Well um…” Syrus looks down. “If it’s ok, I’d like Jaden to stay.”
Chancellor Sheppard looks away from Syrus’ folder. “I’m afraid we can’t allow that.”
Syrus looks up. “But why?”
“Because when your parents signed you up for Duel Academy, we promised you would get your own room.”
“We don’t have to tell them.”
“I’m sorry but if we did that and they found out, we could face a lawsuit.”
Syrus starts to cry. “B-but I want Jay to stay. Please? He’s the first friend I had in a while! I don’t want to be away from him! If my parents find out I’ll take the blame, I promise.”
Chancellor Sheppard tries to calm Syrus down. “Ok ok. If it means that much to you, we won’t move Mr. Yuki. But on two conditions: First, if you ever need to talk, you must see our school therapist. Second, we need our agreement in writing so if your parents find out, we’ll be free from liability.”
Syrus dries his tears. “Ok that sounds fair. Thank you.”
“Oh and we need to replace your bed with a bunk bed. We’ll replace your bed immediately.”
Syrus wants to protest but he doesn’t want Chancellor Sheppard to ask him why he doesn’t want to switch beds.
“Ok. Can I go to lunch now?”
“Yes, we’re done here.”
Syrus almost jumps out of his seat because he’s so relieved. ‘I can’t wait to tell Jay!’ he thinks.
……
In the cafeteria, Jaden is sitting at a table by himself when Syrus runs in and hugs him from behind.
“Whoa what’s up Sy? You seem cheerful.”
Syrus sits down next to Jaden. “We can stay together!”
“Hu?”
“I convinced the chancellor to lets us stay in the same dorm room!”
“See, I knew you could do it.”
“But he did say he had to replace our bed with a bunk bed.”
“Oh that’s ok. We’ll think of something.”
“Ok.” Syrus is about to walk to the lunch line to get something to eat but Jaden stops him.
“Sorry Sy, they closed the lunch line. But I got extra if you want some.”
“Thanks Jay.” Syrus sits back down next to Jaden and starts eating while Jay puts his arm around Sy’s shoulder.
‘He’s so cute,’ Jaden thinks while he watches Syrus eat.
Suddenly one of the Obelisk Blues walks by Jay and Sy’s table. “Well if it isn’t a couple Sliffer Slackers. Why do you have one tray? Did one of you slack off too much and forget to get a lunch yourself so you have to share?”
Syrus looks up with a bit of fear in his eyes. “Who’re you?”
“Chazz. I’m the best duelist in this school and you better not forget it.”
Jaden looks at Chazz. “That’s funny, because I hear Syrus’ brother, Zane is the best duelist in this school.”
“Why did you say I’m Zane’s brother Jay?” Syrus whispers in Jaden’s ear. “Now he’s gonna beat me up for sure. Or worse.”
“Don’t worry Sy,” Jaden whispers back. “I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
Chazz gets mad and raises his voice. “Hey I’m talking to your slackers! And besides, I could beat Zane anyday. I just have too much time to challenge him that chump!”
This makes Syrus mad. “Take that back! My brother is the best duelist in the world!” he yells at Chazz.
“What was that? You little punk, I should-“
“That’s enough Chazz,” says a girl who walks up behind Chazz. “Leave them alone.”
“Fine.” Chazz walks away.
“Don’t worry about Chazz. He’s just pissed because he recently challenged Zane to a duel and lost,” she tells Jaden and Syrus.
“Oh so that would explain it. I swear, that guy must have a stick up his ass or something,” Jaden jokes, which Syrus giggles at.
“Don’t worry. All us blues aren’t jerks like him. I’m Alexis Rhodes by the way.”
“I’m Jaden Yuki,” Jaden introduces.
Syrus stops eating for a second to introduce himself. “I’m Syrus Truesdale.”
“Oh so you’re Zane’s little brother.”
“How do you know Zane?” Syrus asks.
“Everyone in Obelisk Blues knows Zane. And all us girls think Zane is really hot.”
Syrus blushes. “I wouldn’t know anything about that.”
Alexis laughs a little. “Oh sorry, didn’t mean to embarrass you. Anyways don’t worry about Chazz. He talks tough but that’s all.”
Syrus sighs with relief. “Oh good.”
“See Sy? Nothing to worry about,” Jaden tells him.
“See you two later.” Alexis walks away.
……
After the rest of the day’s classes, it’s time for dinner. After Jaden and Syrus eat dinner, they go back to the dorm. Jaden is sitting on the bottom of their new bunk bed while Syrus is at the desk, doing homework.
“Oh come on Sy, why do you have to do that now?”
“Because I want to get it out of the way now so I don’t have to do it later. You should do your homework too you know.”
“But its soooooooo boring,” Jaden complains. He turns on the tiny tv in the room and a thunderstorm warning comes on.
“There is a thunderstorm warning until 8:00 AM tomarrow morning,” the announcer says.
“Thunder?” Syrus asks.
“Looks like it,” Jaden replies and as if on cue, they heard some thunder. Syrus immediately yelps and cuddles on the bed next to Jaden, which suprises him.
“Whoa what’s wrong Sy?”
“I h-hate thunder.” Syrus yelps again when he hears more thunder.
Jaden puts his arm around Syrus as he curls up in a little ball and shakes.
“It’s ok. I’m here for you.”
For the rest of the night, Jaden hugs Syrus to calm him down while he lies on the bed curled up in a little ball. When it became time for bed, both boys get changed into their pajamas and get into the bottom bunk together. Jaden strokes Sy’s hair, calming him while he falls asleep.
