{A/N} Yes. I am back. Had a lot of stuff goign on and kept thinking I would be able to post, but RL kept kicking me back down. I’ve decided to go back to school just before I got custody of my baby nephew so now I’m a full time student, mother (of an under 2 again), and work full time...so I will try to get as much up as I can. Thank you and Sorry again for the time between posts.

No day. No night. Only darkness and the overwhelming stench of unwashed bodies overlaid by the reek of death. What little food and water made it down to the hold barely gave energy to the smallest little ones. Most of the adults pressed their portions onto the younger ones, to ensure their survival. Jono tried to pass his off to Heba, but had another give their food to him.
“You are not old enough yet to cross over. You must teach the other younglings what is needed,” the older woman rasped. “Someone must keep them taught. Especially since….” Her voice choked off into a sob.
Swallowing hard, his eyes teared as well. “Since?”
Her breath stuttered, “Since the Atlantean Lord called Nati.”
For a moment, Jono was confused. Who was Nati. Then his mind settled on the legend of the Atlantean Lord’s Partner. The great dragon of destruction who with one roar could destroy the world as was known. To call on it’s massive powers could only mean one thing. His Atlantis, his home, was no more. Tears freely fell as the woman patted his back.
“Not only is our home only a memory for us, but thanks to the Lord’s magics it shall soon be forgotten sve for those that actually touched the Planes.”
“But what of those that do not?”
“A fantasy lost to time, like all the Great Cities. Fear not, our loved ones will see us through our hardships. Our eyes shall be theirs. Our lives shall guard them and guide them until a joining once more.” Handing him her rotten portion of food, she walked tall to the far side of the ship’s hold.
Jono knew she was right. All the humans present were touched by the Clans; accepted by them. Their memories would join the Clans’ and teach the others how to hide, to survive in this unforgiving world, but more importantly how to fight.
The woman added her memories to her Clan that night, never to wake again. But her words spurred Jono on. He told stories and lessons to the little ones about their lost homeland. He showed them tricks to hide themselves and survive. Above all, he showed them hope and the love their lost ones gave to them to bolster them for the next step of their journey. For how long they traveled, he had no clue. When Jono thought his strength would finally give out, and his own passed rations doing little good for the little ones, the ship dropped anchor. Out of the hundred and fifty prisoners, only twenty-three children survived with Jono as the oldest.
Bright light blinded the poor children as they were forced to disembark into the unknown city.Looking upon the grand marble temples, Jono flinched as they were dragged to the slave pens. Greece was not an appealing choice, but far better than Rome...he supposed.
