She loved Katsuya she really did, but he had tendencies to be a serious jerk sometimes. After all, she was a grown woman she could take care of herself now. Even if she couldn't, she had someone that would always be there for her. Now if she could only get Katsuya to see that.

Honda thought it would be a bad idea to inform Katsuya about them. He knew exactly how protective Katsuya was of Shizuka, and he didn't want that to ruin their friendship. Shizuka didn't care what Katsuya thought. She loved Honda and no over protective brother would keep her from Honda. Katsuya would just have to accept it and be happy for her.

Yuugi and Anzu knew about Honda and Shizuka, hell even Ryuuji knew. He wasn't thrilled about them, after all he liked Shizuka to, but he was happy for her. Everyone else was happy for them, but they all thought it was a bad idea to tell Katsuya. Shizuka thought they were all a bunch of babies, Katsuya was a big boy he'd be fine.

It was the day of Shizuka’s 16th birthday and everyone was working together to plan a surprise party for her, including Honda. Everyone wanted to make things perfect for her so they asked Mokuba if they could use his house, however with as much as Kaiba and Katsuya argued he had to deny. Then they thought about using Yuugi’s grandfather's shop, but it was one of his busiest months. Then something happened that saved their plans, Bakura offered his house to them.

They couldn't have been happier. Katsuya had almost lost hope in being able to give Shizuka the party she deserved. He thanked Bakura which got him a smile in return, though Bakura’s spirit wasn't thrilled with this but Bakura would deal with that later. Things went great the rest of the morning in setting things up for Shizuka’s party. Katsuya was so happy with things and everything looked great, now he just had to wait for the cake that Honda said he would pick up.

Wait... Honda's picking up the cake! Katsuya couldn't help but freak out and Yuugi was starting to get concerned. "Hey Katsuya are you alright?" he asked with those big concerned eyes "No Yuugi, I’m not okay. That big oaf is going to mess things up" he said messing up his hair a bit in frustration. Yuugi however was completely confused "wWhat do you mean? Who’s going to mess things up?" he asked patting Katsuya’s back. "Honda dat's who!" Yuugi was taken back a bit "Wait Katsuya why would you think that? Honda wouldn't mess this up for the world." he said as Anzu and Bakura came into the room. "And why's that yug" he asked still confused at what Yuugi was getting at. "Katsuya, Honda wouldn't mess this up because he loves Shizuka and they've been together for the past 6 months." Anzu and Bakura panicked and tackled Yuugi. "No Yuugi, you weren’t suppose to… ah!" Anzu said as she fell on top of Katsuya.

Honda pulled up to the house, got his bike and picked up the cake and carried it into the house. He came inside to see a strange sight. There was a huge pile up and poor Yuugi was on bottom. "Hey what the heck is going on here?" he asked as he set the cake done in the counter. "Hey Yuugi are you alri-" he asked getting cut off by a punch to the face by Katsuya. Honda fell to the ground holding his cheek and everyone else was shocked. Honda looked up at Katsuya "Hey man what the hell was that for?" he asked standing up and wiping off his mouth. "How could you go behind my back like this, you jerk!" he said going to punch him again and Honda instinctively blocked and wrestled Katsuya down to the ground.

"Hey man relax, okay this is why I didn't want to tell you. I knew you'd over react about nothing" he said holding Katsuya down while Shizuka came in and Katsuya kicked Honda off him and stood up. "Older brother why are you acting like this? Honda has never been anything but a friend to you and a best friend at that to you. Why can't you just be happy for us?" she said walking over to Honda and putting her hands on his chest. "Shizuka… what but I-" he fumbled out as he watched Honda wrap his arms around Shizuka.

After Katsuya saw this, he couldn't be mad at this anymore. He just felt relieved that his little sister had finally found love. He sighed as he fixed his hair and smiled at Shizuka. "Alright little sister, if you like him that much then it's cool by me." he said and Shizuka smiled hugging Katsuya. "Oh thank you big brother" she said before running over to Honda who twirled her around in his arms before hugging her. Anzu, Yuugi and Bakura clapped at this as Honda blushed. "Hey Honda... you hurt her and you'll feel my wrath." he said and Honda nodded back.

Yuugi smiled before going over to Shizuka and smiling "So what do you think?" he asked motioning around the room. She was so focused on Katsuya and Honda she didn't notice the room decor. "Wait, what's going on" she asked and just then everyone one smiled and yelled Surprise! Shizuka was shocked needless to say; she had actually almost forgotten her own birthday. She smiled at everyone and thanked them for everything and thus her party began.

Shizuka had the best day in her life. She had the man she loved; her brother was okay with it and she shared her birthday with all her friends what did she have to not be happy about.
