A/N: I know, P&B is getting to be a real pain when it
comes to stopping points. Oh well, too bad for you. This is my third to last
chapter! *Cheers* I know, it sucks that the whole story is only ten chapters
long. Once again, that is how I planned it!! If you guys have a problem with
it, too bad! If you have a problem with it not having a lemon, wait for the two
PWP side-stories to come out!

Chapter 8

Yuugi
walked down the stairs. It was a new day, the first real day that he never had
to listen to anybody. But that didn�t stop him from grieving for his mother and
grandfather. Nothing would stop him from doing that. Yuugi just felt that
perhaps now that the initial shock was over with, he�d be able to start moving
on.
Walking out into the living room, he saw two figures
together on the couch. Yuugi couldn�t help but start laughing; it was a perfect
Kodak moment! Jounouchi was snuggled into Seto�s chest. Seto, in turn, was
protectively holding Jou, muttering something in his sleep about puppies.
Yami came out of the library. �Yuugi, you�re awake!�
Yuugi gave Yami a glare that clearly said �Shut your mouth and just get over
here!� The former pharaoh promptly complied with his lover�s silent demand.
When he saw the scene, he burst out into laughter, waking the slumbering pair.
�What the hell�?� Jounouchi mumbled, not fully awake yet.
�Yami, go away right now or I will personally come over
there and kick your ass,� Seto called out, but not moving away from his spot
beside Jounouchi.
�I don�t know, Seto; you look pretty comfortable there
with Jou. I don�t think he�ll want you to move. But can I ask what puppies have
to do with anything? You were talking about them in your sleep,� Yuugi prodded.
Jou heard that comment and turned a shade of red normally
reserved for stop signs. Yami noticed this and dissolved into giggles. �I have
a feeling thhe the term has a sexual connotation for the two of you?� Yami
managed to gasp out between fits of laughter while holding his sides.
�I find the fact that someone who still has the bearing
of the pharaoh he once was would let himself give in to something so childish
as giggling!� Seto shot back.
Yuugi let himself forget about the previous day and just
laughed at the sight of Yami giving in to giggles. --You do realize that you
giggling has a certain irony to it, don�t you?-- Yuugi asked telepathically.
--Oh, shut up!-- Yami shot back.
�Yuugi, you seem to be in a better mood,� Jounouchi
observed.
�Yeah, I did kind of need the rest. It got a few things
off my mind. Ano, Jounouchi-kun? What did Yami tell you last night?�
�About what the two of you are. Kinda creepy, to tell the
truth. But after seeing him go through that kind of pain just for you, I know
that he�s worth spending your life with. I wish I had someone to spend the rest
of my life with��
Yami motioned towards Seto. �Why not him?�
Jounouchi made a face. �Who, Kaiba? If I spent the rest
of my life with this rich little prick, my dad would pitch a fit. It�d be
better if we were only�� Jounouchi tried to think of a term that didn�t sound too
vulgar.
�Casual partners?� Seto provided.
�Yeah, well, however you wanna say it, it still means the
same thing. Hey, what�s the weather gonna be like today? I�ve gotta walk home,
you know.�
Yami turned on the T.V., only to be shocked at what he
saw. Anzu and Hiroto�s school pictures on the screen, followed by a time of
death. �Anzu-chan� Honda-kun�� Yuugi whispered, clenching his fists.
Yami held Yuugi in his arms, comforting the smaller boy.
�I�ll find whoever did this to them�� Yuugi said under his breath.
�Aibouami ami startled himself; it was the first time he
had ever used the term to describe Yuugi, but it felt right.
Yuugi was trembling, and at first Yami thought it was
from shock or fear; he wasn�t expecting that Yuugi was trying to hold his anger
in check. �Yami, you know who killed them, don�t you? Tell me who it is! I�m
going to kill them for ruining my life like this!� Crimson was bleeding into
Yuugi�s amethyst eyes, changing back and forth between the two colors, making
it seem like his eyes were flashing.
Yami
noticed this, but its significance didn�t register in his mind. �Yuugi, you
can�t just go out and��
�I can,
and I will. I�m going to savor every drop of blood that I drink from him. Tell
me who it is, Yami!�
Yami closed
his eyes. Yuugi wasn�t going to give in, and it was pointless to try and stop
him. �I don�t know what he looks like in this life, but��
The front
door slammed open, revealing a teen with shocking silver hair and deep
chocolate brown eyes. �So, this is where the flock has gathered. Thank you so
much for huddling together in one place, it makes my revenge that much
sweeter�� The teen�s voice was harsh and cruel, and had a grating quality to
Yami and Yuugi�s sensitive ears.
�Yuugi,
Bakura is dangerous even to the two of us. Tread your path with caution, aibou.
I don�t want to lose you,� Yami whispered.

MR:
XD XD XD EVIL CLIFFY!!! Next chapter�s cliffhanger will be even more evil,
because that one was pla eve even before the second chapter of the original
P&B was written. O.O; that was at least a couple of years ago� Which only
makes the cliffy next chapter even MORE evil! XD haha to the readers!
