DreamingChild: Yeah, unfortunately it doesn�t
really get too much better for lil Ryou-chan either, it has a lot more to go,
we�ll have some Yugi torture late on as well. And we know the turnaround was a
bit quick but hey, it worked out ne? And of course, we haven�t fttentten the
Yami�s! We could never do anything like that! But they aren�t in the fic that
much but trust us they�ll play important roles later ^_~.
Elle-FaTe2x1: Sad but incredibly good as we�ve
been told so we must be doing something right.
SmileyYaoiChick: We�re happy about Seto�s
turnaround as well; he�ll probably help later on in the story as well but WAY

really isn�t turning into Father, Mother, Lover especially considering I wrote
that fic and Mally-Chan and I write this one but I can see how you could draw a

Motou: Sorry about the Yugi-lessness don�t worry in a few chapters it�s all
about him! And we do tend to focus a lot on Ryou because he�s our fave so don�t
be surprised when he�s focused on more than the other�s but Yugi will get his

GOING!!! ENJOY CHAPTER 9 TO BUISNESS HOURS!!!

Malik sighed as he added up the bills with the calculator
and groaned. "We�ll never be able
to work hard enough for this...even if Yugi and I worked until
exhaustion." He said sighing and
shaking his head. "Damnit..." He whispered, not wanting to have to tell
Ryou or Yugi just how tight money was, especially now that Seto wasn't going to
buy anyone now. Without his extremely
handsome payments, things had gone from 'just making it, with a little money to
spare' to 'you're doomed!' in five seconds flat. "What am I going to do?
I can�t let Yugi and Ryou go home...they'd give anything to avoid
it..." He said shaking his head as
Yugi came down in his usual pjs.
"Good morning Yugi"
Malik said quickly hiding the final total of how far behind they'd be on
their bills.
Yugi looked at him a little worried "I heard you had to
go to Seto's...are you okay?" He asked picking up the mail and looking
through it and noticed one didn't have a return address and gave it a puzzled
look as he handed the mail to Malik knowing he was the one who handled all
thfinafinancial business.
"I'm fine, he said he'd leave us all alone
now..." Malik said looking at the
letter strangely before opening it, knowing immediately that Seto had written
the check within. He sighed shaking his
head and putting it back into the envelope.
"Great..." he mumbled
running a hand through his hair. He
didn't want to accept it...but if he didn't everything would fall apart in a
matter of time, Ryou and Yugi needed this place...this home.
"R-really?" Yugi asked as he sat down looking at
Malik a little wide-eyed. "What would make him do that?" Yugi
basically asked himself as he got back up to get something to eat and realized
Ryou wasn�t with them and he didn't see him last night either he just figured
he was working.
"Malik, where's Ryou? Didn't he come home last
night?" Yugi asked a little worried.
"He's staying with his uncle for a little
while..." Malik said, looking the
check over, noticing that it would not only cover their needs...but it would leave
them insurance enough that they would be able to keep up on rent once
more. "I went to see Seto...and we
talked...he is just stopping." He
mumbled shaking his head.
"Oh..." Yugi said regarding both Ryou and Seto's
mysterious behavior. "Um...is Ryou's uncle a good or bad thing?" Yugi
asked a little unsure as he poured himself some cereal for breakfast.
"Ryou said it was a bad thing...but I don�t know...it
gives him a chance to heal from Seto's attack on him...so in a way it's a good
thing.." Malik said biting his
lip, trying to decide what to do with the check. He didn't WANT to accept it...but it would solve their money
problems. "I'm thinking we could
visit him later..." Malik added,
staring the check down as if it were a threat to his health.
"I think you should, but I promised Otogi I would work
today he has my appointments starting earlier than usual for some reason."
Yugi said as he quickly finished his breakfast. He smiled softly at Malik,
"I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for us recently too, I
don't know what we would do without you." Yugi said blushing slightly as
he ran upstairs throwing some clothes on and quickly leaving before Malik had a
chance to protest which he usually did when Otogi had them work earlier than
usual cause it usually meant more customers.
Malik sighed, smiling softly after Yugi left. Even without doing much, Yugi had a way of
making everything bettspanspan style="mso-spacerun: yes"> "Thanks
to you too..." He mumbled sighing
in defeat. "I'll accept this check
Seto...but you know its only because I have no other choice...Yugi and Ryou
need this place..." He mumbled
softly, endorsing it and putting it into his wallet to cash at the bank
later. "I'll visit Ryou after I
pick up some things, and cash this check..." He said picking up his keys and leaving as well.

Ryou sighed heavily as he washed the dishing happy that his
uncle had left already. he would change out of what he was wearing but had
little choice in the matter so ded itd it was better just to put up with it.
"Damn skirt..." He mumbled unhappily as he started
the dishwasher and went to clean off the table as the doorbell rang. He bit his
lower lip worried that it was one of those annoying friends he had but was
halfway relived and mortified that it was Malik as he checked through the
peek-hole. He rubbed the back of his neck as he opened the door with his eyes
cast down and before Malik could say anything, he did. "I swear Malik if
you laugh I will slam this door right in your face!" he said obviously a
little angry at the whole situation.
Malik stared dumbly at Ryou for a few moments. "I know I shouldn't laugh...but
Ryou...you're asking a LOT..." He
said biting his lip a bit. "WHY on
earth are you dressed like a girl? Is
this a new hobby?" he said teasing
slightly before stepping into the house, before Ryou could slam the door on
him. "What's going on? I mean...I come to visit, and I find my
friend pulling a gender bender on me.
You're just lucky Yugi couldn't come, he'd be rolling...&q He said smiling a bit.
"And when you're done 'bonding' with your uncle and his daughter's
clothing you're welcome home to all the men's clothes you want...provided that
by then you haven't gotten attached to women's underwear or something freakish
like that." Malik said shaking his
head, once more, teasing Ryou and meaning no harm by it.
&al>"You know you're not helping my situation
Malik..." Ryou grumbled a little angry that all Malik could do was joke
about his misfortune. "But I�m still worried about the subject of coming
home, until my dad comes home I�m not supposed to leave...and I doubt he'll
just let me go." Ryou said a little solemnly.
"Sorry Ryou, I'm trying not to joke too much...but...it
doesn't help that every time I look at you, I see the prettiest girl, until I
remember you're a guy." He said
frowning a bit. "You know that
I'll do anything I need to help you.
When does your father leave?"
Malik asked thoughtfully.
"I'd bust you out of here now...but with police looking, it'd be bad."
"He should be home in a few day's, he's gonna have a
field day when he sees me dressed like this though." Ryou groaned then
glared at Malik "And don't say I look pretty!" Ryou said realizing
Malik practically said he could put other girls to shame dressed as he was.
Malik coughed.
"Well you do, but then again, if I dawned a dress and pretty
ribbons I'd be pretty too. I think
Yugi'd be the worst of us though...he's that cute little petite height, and he
has those big eyes...you remember, the BIG eyes...the ones he used on you that
one time..." Malik said snickering
as Ryou cringed slightly. "Yeah
THOSE eyes. I still can�t believe he
talked you into playing dance dance revolution with him...What were you
thinking?"
"Will you be quite!" Ryou said although he laughed
slightly at the mental image of Malik and Yugi in dresses also the night Yugi
made him dance with him to that ridiculous song. Ryou smiled at Malik "Still I�m particularly worried about
this one friend of his, despite what he says I don't think he has a problem
with gay's...he actually seems to like gay's a lot." Ryou said softly
"I know my uncle would never let him do anything but he had a tendency to
get a little to drunk sometimes and he would never know should that guy try
something on me." Ryou said worried.
Malik frowned. "That's not something you should have to
deal with...have you tried telling your uncle beforehand? Maybe mention that you think he's trying to
go a bit too far with you? If he hates
gays, he might not let him near you..."
He said, hoping that idea might help Ryou. "Nothing is worse than a horny drunk...ever." Malik said frowning deeply, remembering some
of the past he really didn't talk about to anyone, but Seto...
"Try to avoid him at the very least...go to the
bathroom a lot...I dunno.."
"Another problem, he's not drunk, he doesn�t drink at
all he plans to do this clean and sober and my uncle will think it's me trying
to get even with him for bringing up the whole idea about dressing me like
this...it was his dumb idea not my uncle's." Ryou said sighing unhappily.
"Just try your best to avoid him then....if you can�t
convince your uncle that he's not someone who should be near you." Malik said worriedly. "I wish I could help more...but I'm
sure your uncle would shoot me on sight before he'd let me in here to help
you. I was surprised that you answered
the door and not him to begin with."
Malik said frowning and nodding slightly.
"He's at work..." Ryou said as he sighed a little
happy that his uncle wasn't home "Um, thanks for checking up on me
Malik...if you could would you mind coming tomorrow too? Possibly bring Y alo along after you warn him about how I look so he can get his kicks out then and
not in my face?" Ryou said smiling a little.
Malik smiled a bit.
"Aww, but its sooo cute when you blush. Besides what fun would that be if I ruined the 'surprise'? heh heh...god Yugi's gonna love
this..." an>Han>He said laughing a
bit. "I'll come over tomorrow
then, same time?" Malik said
laughing a bit more before standing up.
"Heh you look so sexy in your little hoochie skirt." he said
snickering a bit at the pink in Ryou's face, before thinking. "Did your uncle take all of your
clothes?"
"Yes you inconsiderate brat!" Ryou yelled as he
folded his arms. "And the same time is fine, perfect in fact." Ryou
said although a little mad at Malik's various comment's.
Malik chuckled a bit.
"I'm sorry! I just have
this awful image in my mind now...of the horror that had to have been on your
face when you wend looking for undergarments..." he said shaking his head and slapping a hand on his
forehead. "I'll bring you some of
your underwear next trip, you poor, poor thing..."
