Seto stole a quick glance at his monitoring laptop, sighing at the unchanged scene. His lovers needed lessons in effective problem solving and time management. Their current positions - Yugi huddled on the couch and Jou lumbering around his living room like a drunken water buffalo on a rampage - were doing nothing to solve the problem of the corpse in the freezer. He allowed his glance to linger slightly on Yugi, concerned and still amused. He didn't feel guilty about laughing earlier when, while checking the condition of the body, the corpse shifted off balance and fell directly onto the small game king. Yugi's expression had been hilarious, making him laugh heartily. Having them as lovers was going to be great for his stress levels. And after Jou had rescued him from being crushed by the frozen body, Yugi's scaling Jounouchi like a cat climbing a tree and latching on to his head had actually made him laugh hard enough to fall out of his chair - again. Of course his laughter and the loud thump of his ass hitting the carpet had brought his security running and he'd laughed even harder at their wide-eyed looks. Gasping for breath, the brunet just shook his head at them. They were probably going to have to get used to his random outbursts of hilarity. He didn't see life with Yugi and Jounouchi losing it's humorous side any time in the future. There may not be dead bodies to deal with every day, but there would always be something. Sitting back, he watched them pensively. It was true, there was always - had always been - something that drew him in and captured his attention. They lightened him in some way, even if he was loathe to admit it. Yugi with his surprising strength and talent for games, and Jounouchi with his blind - sometimes stupid - faith in his friends, his loyalty, and yes even his risk-taking, out-there strategies that showed his fearless spirit. The pair of them had been a part of him he had never examined closely. Instead, he'd simply accepted it. Now, even though he'd examined and embraced it, he was still bemused by it. His interest sharpened when Jou suddenly stopped his wild, uncoordinated pacing and snapped his fingers. "I got it." "What?" Yugi's voice was low and dispirited. This wasn't the first time Jou had come up with a solution only to find, after discussion that it was not possible. "We'll do what th' Yakuza did ta Hiata an' Taro. We'll throw 'im offa th' bridge." Jou smiled coldly. "Th' bastard never liked ta shower, he can spend eternity washin' off th' dirt." Yugi blinked at that, turning it over in his mind. "That... is a good idea. What bridge?" "Same one Hiata took his dive off of." Jou grinned and shrugged. "With him bein' frozen an' all it might mess up when they figure he died. So they might think he died when Hiata and Taro did." Yugi nodded. He didn't know anything about decomposition but it made sense that the defrosting would make it slow down and the heat of the water would make it speed up. So time of death could be really hard to figure out. "How are we going to get him there? I mean..." "We'll use my car and go about two in the morning. It should be safe then." Jou outlined as the details came to him, expounding on his plan. Seto groaned and resisted the urge to bash his head into the desk repeatedly. On the surface, it was a great idea, but Jou wasn't taking one tiny fact into consideration. The area he planned to use to dump the body was a crime scene. It would be under surveillance until all evidence had been gathered. The police would post a watch there in the hopes that the culprit returned to gather some lost evidence or just to get a thrill from the crime. Yakuza or not, it was standard op. He'd researched it thoroughly when trying to uncover who had torched his house. Mind ticking over various scenarios, he realized he couldn't do anything until he knew exactly what the police knew and what they planned. Growling slightly at the inconvenience, Seto went to his safe and drew out his completely untraceable, custom built and designed, hacking laptop. Sometimes being a genius had its up side. With the ease of long practice, he began to finesse his way into one of the most secure networks in Japan. He didn't want anyone to know he was doing this; hence, no bribe this time. Four hours, about a gallon of sweat, and more curse words than most people hear in their entire lives later, Seto had the information he needed. They had more information than he suspected they would. They actually had the name of the Yakuza lord as well as several of his men. They even had an eyewitness who had seen the crime boss enter Boozee. That same witness swears he saw two men, a blond and a star-fish haired man, escorted out by the boss's men and later Hiata leaving with the Yakuza lord. Jou and Yugi were in the clear without even a hint of suspicion aimed at them. Of course, if they were found at the bridge throwing another body over, that happy circumstance would definitely change. They would get caught unless he intervened. There was a planned stakeout of the bridge and surrounding areas. The detective-in-charge felt that there was more to be found and fully expected the culprits to return to the scene. Seto was impressed by the man's bravery, if not intelligence. Only a naive idiot tried to trap Yakuza. Well idiots and suicidal fools. The detective had actually 'leaked' that trace DNA evidence had been found on the scene and was being collected. The Yakuza couldn't know that it was a ruse entirely directed at trapping the murderers trying to get whatever evidence they'd left. Closing his eyes, he leaned back, thinking of different plans to let them know without telling them directly. The answer came to him in a stroke of brilliance. Of course, he was quite familiar with brilliance so he took it in stride with only a minor self-congratulatory pat on the back. With a quick flick of his wrist, he flipped open his cellphone. He watched on the monitor as Jou's face lit up when he read the caller ID. "It's Seto." Seto smiled slightly when Yugi leaned forward eagerly. "It's me, " he said unnecessarily. "I was thinking about this morning and your friend Honda." He waited for the opening the blond was sure to give. He wasn't disappointed. "This morning? It was weird, but we are in the clear. What about Honda?" "I don't want our relationship to cause problems with your friends. Maybe you should talk to him? Invite him to dinner or a drink? Explain that we are together?" He hesitated for a moment before adding, "If you are sure he's over the crush he had on you in school?" He chuckled as he watched the phone fall from Jou's suddenly spastic hand. When he saw the blond had the phone again, he asked, "You did know he liked you didn't you?" “Uh, yeah, liked, as in friends.” Jou sputtered. "Yes as friends, but he liked you... as more. It's my job to observe and to me it was obvious he was seriously crushing on you. I’m sure others noticed it as well." "No way!" He turned to his avidly watching friend. "Yugi, Seto thinks Honda crushed on me in high school." Yugi shrugged. "Yeah, he did. Everyone knew. We thought you did too, but you didn't want to damage your friendship so you just ignored it. Are you saying you didn't know?" His eyes widened at the possibility. Jou had been that clueless? "No I didn't! Are ya sure Yugi? I mean really sure?" "Of course I am. Remember I have all the knowledge Atemu had. He read hearts and souls. Honda didn't love you as a soul mate, but he did crush on you - and he lusts after you still." He frowned. "Why are you asking now?" "Seto doesn't want to cause problems with our friendship. He wants us to talk to Honda tonight and make sure there are no hard feelings." Yugi nodded thoughtfully. "Not a bad idea. He was hostile towards Seto this morning. It could be an issue later. Tell him it's a good idea and thank him. Then get off the phone - we have to call Honda." "Mmm, yeah okay. Hey Seto, thanks for thinkin' about that. Yugi and me think it's a good idea. I'm gonna give him a call right now and ask him to come... uh... meet us for dinner somewhere." Jou scratched his head and smiled into the phone and, even though he saw it, Seto swore he could hear it too. "Yer a great boyfriend. Gotta go now. Love ya, Bye." And he disconnected the phone. Seeing Yugi's goggle-eyed stare, Jou asked, "Wha?" Faintly, as if from a great distance, Yugi whispered, "Boy-friend? Love ya? You just called Kaiba Seto your... boyfriend and told him you love him. Jou, Seto will never be anyone's boyfriend. That's... That's... not possible." Seto, eyes slightly bugging too, nodded with Yugi's assessment. He'd never be a boyfriend and what a way to hear that for the first time. "Whatcha talkin' about? He's our boyfriend. What else would ya call 'im? And it ain't no secret I love him." Jou was genuinely baffled. Yugi blinked at him in shock and Seto dropped his head in his hands. Everything was so simple to Jounouchi. They were together; he loved Seto. It was settled with no room for ambiguity. It was one of the things that Seto admired most about the blond. The smaller man thought for a moment, controlling his shock. "He... is our lover, our partner, our... our significant other. But he could never simply be a boyfriend. Boyfriend's are sweet, innocent, loving, and Kaiba... Kaiba is none of those things." When Jou would have argued, Yugi shook his head. Seto lifted his head and peered at the screen with narrowed eyes. Was Yugi saying he couldn't be what Jou needed again? Hurt kindling, he waited for Yugi's explanation."Jou he may treat us with those qualities, but he is not that way by nature. Also, boyfriend is such a mediocre word. He would never, ever accept it being applied to him.” Yugi blinked at the confused look on Jou's face. "Besides the first time you say you love someone is important. It's not something you say over the phone casually." Seto nodded in complete agreement as the twinge of pain died. Yugi was right. He was their lover-to-be. Distinct difference between lover and boyfriend. But about the devotion... he'd take it any way he could get it. Jou just shrugged. "Same difference. Boyfriend, lover, sexy-god-ta-fuck-raw. It all mean's th' same." Jou grinned. "So Honda had the hots fer me? I never knew. Tell me about it. Bet ya got some funny as hell stories 'cause if I know him, when he's moonin' around he's hilarious." "He was. Sometimes still is because sometimes he gets that 'drooling idiot' look with you. Especially when you run around in clothes that are revealing or tight. I can't believe you don't know. Look just call him, but act normal. If you start treating him different he might think you're interested in him or something." The possibility that Jou might return the interest reared its head in both Yugi and the anonymously watching Seto. Jou shrugged casually. "Nah, I don't see him like that." He pulled a disgusted face. "It'd be like bein' hot for my brother." He shrugged and blinked as an idea occurred to him. "Ya don't think Kaiba was ever hot for Mokie do ya?" Rather than give an immediate negative, Yugi narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "I don't know Jounouchi. It's possible with the way they are bonded and have limited ties to other people. If you think about it, who else did they have to 'play doctor' with?" Yugi shook his head slightly as if to clear it of a disturbing image. "But even if he felt that way I don't think he'd do anything about it. It's not normal or healthy, and ultimately it would damage Mokuba. Seto would never allow that kind of thing to hurt his little brother." That made perfect sense to the blond. "Yeah, I think yer right." He grinned. "So, what should I say ta Honda..." Seto would have normally been highly entertained by the discussion that followed, but he was too distracted by the mind-bending rage coupled with disbelief that they dared to think he would ever have the hots for his brother. He was barely aware of the rage-engorged vein pulsing on his temple and bulging eyes, much less what his idiot lovers were discussing. He could barely stop himself from rushing over there and handing them their heads before taking his anger out on their asses. For the first time in a very long time, he was on the verge of losing control of his temper. Snarling, he lunged to his feet and paced, trying to work off the rage coursing through him. In a very few minutes, he realized it was futile. A quick check of his watch showed that it was just before noon, so it would be two in the morning in New York. He knew his brother was likely just settling in from a night out with friends. With a groan, he brought up his video conference application and clicked Mokuba's name. If anyone could calm him down and make him laugh at the absurdity of 'them' being involved as more than brothers, it would be Mokuba. Considering the time, the call was answered in surprisingly short moments. He choked on his greeting when a mop of dark red hair topping blue eyes filled the video screen. "Who the fuck are you and where is Mokuba?" He snarled, his heart beating double time as he took in the stranger's mussed, heavy-eyed appearance. Had his brother been attacked? Was there an intruder? "I'm Taylor. I don't need to know your name. You're Seto and you're history!" Rage from earlier coupled with new rage and fear for his brother nearly stole his voice. "Where is Mokuba! Get him now!" Insolently, the other man shook his head. "I don't know why you're calling my boyfriend at this time of night, but we’re busy. I wore out Mokuba's ass tonight and he's still recovering." Giving him a smug look, he added, "Mokuba's mine. He is so over you; so get lost loser." Before he could end the connection, Seto saw Mokuba, hair wildly mussed and clothes askew, step into the frame. "Hey what’re you doing Taylor?" His brother asked before his eyes focused on the screen, lighting up at the sight of Seto's face. "Seto! What's up? Did Taylor introduce himself?" Through gritted teeth, Seto spit, "He claims he's your boyfriend and 'we' are over. What the hell is going on little brother? Who is this joke?" Mokuba flushed and sent Taylor an admonishing look before giving Seto a sheepish grin. "Big Brother, this is Taylor Ryan. We've been dating about a week. Taylor, this is my brother Seto Kaiba." Taylor gasped and burned bright red before stepping back out of range of the camera. Mokuba followed and Seto could hear a muffled argument for a few seconds before the sound of a door being slammed clearly resonated across the microphone. A few seconds later and Mokuba's flushed face appeared. "Sorry about that Seto. He got the wrong idea and I had to set him straight. When he wouldn't listen, I kicked him out." "Idea? What..." "Oh he thought you were my ex-boyfriend. I told him that it wasn't true. You were my brother." Mokuba shrugged. "Sure I had the normal growing up crush on my main male role model, but it was never more than that." Seeing his brother’s astounded look, the black-haired teen rushed into speech. " I mean come on, you’re hot, even you know that. I have my share of hormones that don't care if you're my brother, but he was way off saying we were involved in incest. So what if I admitted to having wet dreams about you? That was a couple years ago." He shrugged slightly. "I know I talk about how wonderful you are, but that doesn’t mean we... well you know." Pale, feeling his stomach churn as his anger drained away, Seto nodded jerkily. "Families are different in America, so be careful. What is natural for us - admiration and closeness - may be perceived as unnatural there," he said mechanically. He was completely incapable of saying more. His brother thought of him as hot? He'd had a crush on him? When? Wet Dreams? What the hell? "Yeah, well it's their loss. I swear this place is obsessed with sex. The more scandalous, the better." Mokuba shrugged. "He's no loss. We only went out a couple times. Nothing too deep; a couple kisses and a hand job. I was going to dump him anyway. His hair wasn't natural." Smiling impishly, Mokuba teased, "The curtains didn't match the rug." That made Seto choke slightly. When had his brother started being so forward sexually? "Oh?..." America was rubbing off on him. "I like someone with deep red or cinnamon hair and blue eyes. Oh, and they have to be tall and slim." Mokuba didn't seem to realize what he was saying. But it was too much for his tall, slim, cinnamon-haired, blue-eyed brother. With a choked gasp, Seto gabbled out a hasty, "Gotta go, emergency!" and disconnected the video call with a hand that shook as if with palsy. What the fuck was going on? Was he as clueless as Jounouchi about people crushing on him? Was this a bad joke? Or was Mokuba just a freak? **** A quick call to Honda and it was agreed the three friends would meet at Yugi's place for a late lunch. It was their luck that the police-trainee was working a split shift. They would finish with Honda and have plenty of time to plan dumping the body later. Maybe they would catch a nap at Yugi's because they were both seriously tired. It was Jou's considered opinion that his dad was as much of a pain in the ass in death as he had been alive. Honda was still in uniform when he arrived, but it was obvious he was off duty by the careless way his jacket was unbuttoned and the slouching posture. Yugi ushered him in and offered him the most comfortable seat in the house. "Honda-kun, thanks for coming. Lunch is not quite ready. You and Jounouchi-kun talk while I finish our meal." Hesitating for a second, he gave the brown-eyed man a soft glance. "Please don't make up your mind anything until we've all had a chance to talk." Honda didn't reply. He only had eyes for his golden-blond friend. "Is it true? What Kaiba said this morning?" His deep voice was thin with tension. "What did he say?" Jou prevaricated. "Don't! Don't play stupid with me." Anger added strength to Honda’s unnaturally strained voice. "I know you're not stupid. Don't try it. He called you and Yugi his 'new intimates' and he talked about sleeping in your bed." Jou rubbed his neck as his cheeks tinted pink. One part of him was ecstatic that Seto had claimed him and another was completely embarrassed. "Uh... well.. I guess you could say that. I mean he's slept with both of us in my bed - slept only though." Not letting the blond finish, Honda let out a big sigh of relief. "Fuck you mean the asshat was just fucking with us? Man that is so like Kaiba, always bein' a jerk." "Wait, " Jou cut in on the insults spewing from Honda's mouth. "Ya ain't got it right. Kaiba has only slept on m'bed, that's true. But... that's gonna change." He gulped down a huge lump trying to force it's way up his throat. "See... me an Kaiba... well I've been in love with him fer years. And he... he feels th' same. He wants ta be with me. We got some trust issues ta work out, but then we'll be together." Jounouchi lost his defiant stance as Honda's face drained of all color and he stumbled back as if he'd received a hard blow. "Honda? Are ya..." As fast as he'd faltered the stocky brunet recovered, straightening as his cheeks colored with flags of red rage. "No fucking way! What the hell does he have on you to force you to say shit like this? There is no way you have feelings for the prick. I remember Jounouchi. I remember every fucking hateful thing he's ever done or said to you. If I do then I know you do too. There is no fucking way you could love him. Not when you have had me here - me who loves and supports you no matter what - who has stuck by your side through every fucking thing that's ever happened. I know there is no fucking way you are standing there telling me you love him when I've shown you more love in one minute than he ever has or ever will." Jou could feel his own heart crack because with the exception of the last few days it was true and Jou had completely missed it, mistaking the love as caring and friendship. He was hurting his best friend by being such an insensitive, ignorant, stupid ass. "Honda...I love him." He didn't know what to say to stop his friend's pain and even if he could find the words he was sure the regret from his own heart would strangle them. Yugi stepped into the room carrying a tray of plates and serving dishes. "Lunch is rea... Oh man. Jounouchi-koi sit down before you fall down. Honda-kun sit down as well." His choice of honorifics were specific. He claimed Jou as his lover and Honda as a friend. It brought Honda's flaming gaze from Jou to himself. "Koi? Koibito? I knew you were going to make a move on him, but you're too late. He says he's with Kaiba." Honda all, but snarled. He'd been almost accepting of Yugi's obvious interest in Jou. But this... Kaiba involvement was too much. His heart hadn’t merely shattered on the ground, it had exploded into fragments so small he doubted he'd ever find even the smallest piece ever again. With disgust born of pain and jealousy, he sneered mockingly, "Jou loves him." Calmly setting out the plates and cups, and then filling the plates, Yugi let a small amount of time pass to defuse the emotions. At length he said, "I know. I also know that he loves me as well. What Jounouchi didn't tell you is that we - Jounouchi, Kaiba and I - are going to attempt a poly-amoury relationship." Giving the brunet a direct look, he challenged, "We all love and want each other." Setting the pates down in front of each of them, he ordered, "Eat, think, and most of all feel. Then we will talk, but not until your plates are empty." When Honda made a sound of protest, Yugi's face hardened and his eyes narrowed. If he only had the eye of Horus on his forehead, he would have been the exact image of the Pharaoh Atemu. Acknowledging the tingle of fear that went with that look, Honda bent to his plate. Halfway through his meal, Jounouchi couldn't take it any more. The silence was so thick with tension he felt like he was drowning. Grabbing at a lifeline of normalcy and ignoring the elephant in the room, he said the first thing that popped into his head. "Split shift huh? That's gotta suck." For a moment it seemed as if Honda wouldn't answer then, slowly, as if the words were dragged out of him by force, he answered, "Not my normal shift. Stakeout at the bridge tonight." As one Jou and Yugi's chopsticks clattered to the table. Honda looked at them both curiously before realization dawned. "Ah fuck. I'm sorry for mentioning that. I can see it upsets you guys. The boss thinks that the Yakuza will come back to the bridge tonight or tomorrow night. We've been recording it all day and there will be teams of officers on stakeout the next few nights. I can't tell you why, but there really is a high probability that the killers will return." Jou gave an inarticulate mumble and Yugi let out a small, strangled moan. Honda bent back to his food. He didn't look up until long after his plate was empty. Jounouchi and Yugi sat quietly. Jou trying to calm his spinning mind and control his panic, and Yugi trying to work out another plan to dispose of the body. Finally, Honda was able to look at them again without wanting to scream in rage and pain. He was a long way from accepting, but he wasn't ready to maim any longer. "So you three are together?" They nodded silently. He swallowed and asked, "Why him? Why not me?" "It's... yer like m'brother. I can't... I just don't see ya that way." Knowing it didn't help, but also knowing honesty would be best for all of them, he tried to explain his feelings. "I love ya like a brother. I won't ever want ya the way I want Seto and Yugi. Ta me that would be like ... like ... insects or somethin'." Yugi gave a strained smile "I think you mean incest." Jou shook his head. "Nah Yugi. I meant insects. Kinda creepy and ugly. Somethin' ya don't want in yer house." Honda felt his lips twitch slightly at that. It wasn't funny, but sometimes Jou said the damnedest things and still managed to get his point across. Knowing that there would be no way that this could get better than it was right now, he stood and nodded to them both. "I have to go. I have to get some sleep before preparing for my shift." Turning to the door, he said softly, "I'll call you when ... when I can." Without another word, he strode from the room. A few seconds later, they both heard the door close quietly as he left the house. Jou watched from the window as his oldest friend strode away. Yugi picked up the dishes from their late lunch. He left them in the sink and back just in time to see Jou's shoulders slump. "Jounouchi, he'll get over it," he tried to comfort his blond koi. At that, Jou sent him a wry look. "I know that. I've been around him enough t recognize the pattern. He'll be fine. Probably pout for a few weeks then go find someone to fall in love with again." His brows knit thoughtfully. "Should get him and Otogi together. They’re both horn dogs." He shrugged uncomfortably. "That ain't what's botherin' me. Stakeout at th' bridge." "I heard that. I've been thinking, but first let's go to your place. I want to look something up on your computer. I've got an idea that I think will work," Yugi explained softly. "An idea? Great, let's go! My computer’s all yours." The blond rushed for the door only to be pulled up short by a strong hand gripping his arm. "Wha..." "We clean the kitchen first then we'll go." Seeing the blond's stunned look, Yugi shook his head slightly. "I am not coming back to a pigsty. We clean now. The body isn't going anywhere." Having lived in his father's pigsty for years, Jou nodded and pushed up his sleeves. Like Yugi said, it wasn't like his father's corpse was going to walk away. At Jou's place Yugi went right to work looking up whatever his idea was. Jou had his own tidying up to do; so, while Yugi researched, Jou cleaned and dusted. After about forty-five minutes, Yugi nodded and sat back. "I got it. The water where they were thrown is a very long river. There is another bridge, Musou Tsuribashi Bridge, just a few kilometers away, up in the mountains. According to what I read, the water is faster moving there and it will transport the body downstream quickly. With luck, they won't see it until it moves past the bridge they are watching. I expect they will be watching the road not the water." He frowned slightly. "I remember that the bridge isn't used very often because the wind or something makes a scary sound." Jou thought for a moment then scooped the smaller man up in an exuberant hug. "Yugi, I've said it b'fore. Yer a genius." Laughing slightly, acutely aware of the feel of his almost-lover's arms and heat enfolding him, Yugi blushed and leaned forward in obvious invitation. "I think I've earned a Jounouchi special." Maybe he could get his years-long curiosity satisfied. Jou blinked before laughing softly. "Yeah I think ya have." Adjusting his hold, he brought their bodies into full contact, slipping his long leg between Yugi's. Using all of his skill, he caressed, stroked, vibrated and rubbed along every inch of the smaller man's body. Jounouchi brought Yugi to a fever pitch with long, trailing touches and deep, hot caresses that drifted across his body, finding every pleasure point and bringing them to aching life, begging for more of the slow, deliberate arousal. Yugi moaned loudly as Jou found and teased more heat from him than he'd ever felt before. He was learning that real sex was a lot more intense than the mental lovemaking he'd shared with Atemu. Before he could feel guilty for that disloyal thought, Jou was clouding his mind further with lust by palming his ass cheeks and massaging them in small circles, stimulating not only the skin, but causing his muscles to flex pleasurably deep inside. He'd thought he knew that pleasure, but now he was sure he didn't know anything. There was no past or future; only this moment and his body going up in the flames of a fire started by his beautiful best friend and lover. A subtle roll of Jounouchi's hips and upward pressure of the leg between his own made Yugi gasp harshly and thrust compulsively as his need began to climax. He couldn't help it. The way Jou touched him, vibrated against him, pleasured him, he simply couldn't stop himself from reaching for the stars as his world continued to spiral out of control. Yelling his release, Yugi stiffened and thrust his hips forward as he arched back violently, pulsing out his seed into his pants. He wasn't aware until several minutes later that Jounouchi had not only caught him and kept him from falling, but continued to hold him up while the world returned to it's axis. Jou cradled Yugi for a few moments even though he could tell that his friend was back from the little orgasmic field trip. Yugi just felt so good in his arms. Warm, sleek, and tender with soft skin and a responsiveness that he couldn't wait to explore more. "Mmmnayam... ya feel good Yugi." "Mmmhmmm..." The spike-haired man agreed. "I feel great. Where did ya learn..." "It's m'secret. Takin' it to da grave." Jou smiled and stepped back, keeping an arm wrapped around Yugi's waist. "As good as ya feel, I think ya need ta get cleaned up and changed. I'ma take care of my problem while ya do that." Blushing slightly, he gestured down to his own unsatisfied erection. Yugi flushed as he realized he hadn't reciprocated or done anything to please Jou. He was such a selfish jerk sometimes. "Oh uhm... I can... ya know..." "Nah. I can take this in hand. If you do something, it'll lead ta somethin' else and then... well Seto might get hurt or upset. We can wait for him." Smiling, albeit painfully, Jou shooed him towards the shower. "Just stay outta the bedroom for a while." That didn't seem right. "But Jou you just... don't ya think Seto will get upset by..." He gestured down to the stain on his trousers. "Nope. Yugi, I barely even kissed ya and I didn't even touch yer cock. We're both still zipped and tucked. I didn't even touch yer bare skin. But if ya... well ya know... it would be different. I think it would hurt him." Shrugging slightly, he turned to the bedroom and, without another word, he stepped in and closed the door. After a moment, Yugi turned to the bathroom. Seto stared at his monitor in disbelief. Jounouchi had turned down a hand or blow job because of worry that it would hurt him? That little scene with Yugi had him so hot that just the sight of Jou naked and aroused would probably have him coming all over his desk for the second time in just a few minutes. His lover was too worried about his feelings. If he thought a little... his thoughts came to an abrupt halt as he realized that Jou didn't know he was watching everything and was included in their interactions. He knew there was no infidelity or reason to get upset. Yugi had asked for it and Jou, being the sexy, giving, loving man he was, had complied. It had been one of the most arousing scenes he had ever witnessed. Jounouchi special was very special indeed. He would get Jou to teach him how to kiss like that. He had never considered himself a 'watcher', but if his reaction to that little demonstration and his disappointment at not seeing more was anything to go by then he was definitely a voyeur when it came to Yugi and Jou. Glancing down at the white sprays across his desk, he grimaced, refastened his pants and reached for the box of tissues. He was going to need to keep heavy duty paper towels on hand as well as a disinfectant cleaner. One that smelled of flowers. His musk was distinct and he didn't want his business associates to get the wrong - or right - idea of what he did in his office. He was not only completely turned on by Yugi and Jou’s tryst, but he was grateful to them as well. They had distracted him from his mental meltdown over the weird conversation with his brother. And, like the super genius he was, he made the executive decision to never, ever think of it, much less discuss it, again. Subject was closed and would never be opened again - on pain of death to whoever was stupid enough to broach it. A small smile touched his lips when a while later both Yugi and Jou curled up on the couch, turned on the television, and promptly fell asleep cuddled against each other. After arranging a 'catch and retrieval' team for the body and adding a night vision recording element for his own entertainment, Seto settled in to get some work done. His team had been confused by his request for the recording apparatus, but he definitely wanted to see Yugi and Jounouchi's reactions to 'Japan's Scariest Bridge.' Somehow he didn't think they knew what they were getting into. Musou Tsuribashi was built in the mid-twentieth century and very poorly maintained. A suspension bridge made primarily of weathered rope and broken wood planks. It has been listed as one of the top ten scariest bridges on earth. He'd make sure they were safe of course, but he really wanted to see the looks on their faces when they tried to cross the bridge carrying 'dead weight.' Stealing the occasional wistful glance at the pair sleeping so comfortably together, he turned his mind to his original task - finding the person who torched the house he'd called home for years. Jou woke from his pleasant nap to find himself being used as a body pillow for Yugi. Smiling slightly, he hugged the small, warm bundle close. Yugi was just so sweet he couldn't help, but love him. It was true he was madly and passionately in love with Seto, but that love was like a blazing forest fire - all consuming and a little terrifying. What he felt for Yugi was like the blaze of a roaring fire in a deep hearth. Strong, hot and full, but not all consuming. He was the luckiest guy on the earth to have both the consuming forest fire and the controlled heat that will sustain him after the forest fire consumed him, leaving him a blackened wreck. He didn't fool himself; he knew that even if Seto didn't grow tire of him - them - there would come a time when Seto would find out what he'd done and it would be all over. Turning his mind away from that truth, he hugged Yugi tighter. He would face it when it happened. In response to his hug, Yugi mumbled something softly. Curious, Jou hugged him again and leaned closer. He recognized 'Atemu...' breathed in a soft voice and stiffened. Consciously, he relaxed again and cradled his friend gently. His tender clasp was in no way a reflection of his angry, vicious thoughts. He was not jealous of Atemu in the slightest, but he was very close to hating the ancient spirit. In Jou's opinion, the 'nameless pharaoh' could be called a lot of very choice names starting with asshat and going down alphabetically to whorebag. He hadn't found any names for X, Y, or Z, but he was working on it. At first, he had supported his friend and his love for Atemu. But then it occurred to him that as his memories had returned, Atemu had known he would have to leave. There was no way for he and Yugi to be together. And Atemu had known enough about the ancient rites that he had to have known - or at least suspected - that he and Yugi would have to face each other in battle. Not only had Atemu not told Yugi of the future, but he'd also done all he could to encourage Yugi's feelings. If that wasn't enough, the asshat had brought Anzu into their fun, leaving Yugi no other outlet for his feelings when the time came for Atemu to leave. He wasn't involved with Anzu and he could have told Atemu that she would not get involved with Yugi - would not be there for him - if she had Atemu. But if she had been, she should have turned to Yugi naturally. That's what totally baffled him about why she'd dumped Yugi. She should have clung to Yugi. Instead, she had walked away. It made no sense to him. That and the way he described their involvement. Anzu had been his closest friend; yet... it was like she barely tolerated him and his touch. Not having sex with him outside the soul room... it was just weird and Jou knew exactly who to blame weird shit on: the Pharaoh of weird himself - Atemu. At one time, Jou had been proud to call himself best friend to both Yugi and Pharaoh, but that had changed since the spirit left. While Yugi talked about how great and wonderful Atemu had been, talked about their wonderful memories, Jou began to notice that, while it was true the ancient ghost had been clever and full of insider information on cards and shadow beasts, more often than not it had been Yugi's skill, heart and courage that had tipped the balance in their favor. Jou was the first to admit he'd been dazzled by the royal ghost, but after Atemu had left the false glitter had died leaving behind the true shine of Yugi's brilliance and strength. It completely pissed him off that Yugi attributed those characteristics as a gift from Atemu. The truth is Yugi had always been brave, standing up for what he believed in. Yugi had stood up for him and Honda before they were even friends and taking a beating for them from a bully four times his size. And when his grandfather had been kidnapped by Kaiba it had been Yugi to run to his rescue. On top Pegasus' castle when Seto had threatened suicide over a loss it had been Yugi who overpowered the spirit and saved Seto's life. With an effort, Jounouchi forced his mind back to the present. He could go on and on thinking about how strong and brilliant Yugi was, but they had a body to toss off a bridge. He just hoped that some day Yugi would see that Atemu hadn't been the be all, end all of his unique and genuinely fantastic gifts. Reluctant to wake Yugi, but knowing he had to Jou allowed himself one last moment of warmth before tenderly shaking the other man awake. "Hey Yugi. Time ta get up." For a moment, Yugi's eyes clamped shut as if to deny waking then they flew open, sleep already clearing from their bright depths. "Okay. Lets go." He slid off his comfortable living pillow and stood abruptly, stretching lightly before holding a hand down to Jou. Jou blinked at the rapid change of consciousness, wondering if Yugi had truly been asleep, but mentally shrugged it off. It didn't really matter. "Yeah. You go bring my car around to the back and I'll wrap the... I'll wrap it up for transport." Yugi picked up the keys from the table and nodded. "I'll leave the lights off and turn the motor off after I get it close to the fence so that nobody hears it in the back." "Good thinking." Jou was already across the room. It was a mark of how adept he'd gotten at moving the body - detached arm included - that he had the body laying just outside the door, all the lights off, and the house locked up by the time Yugi coasted the car into the yard. In less than a minute, he had it stuffed in the trunk and covered with the handy area rug. Instead of taking the keys, Yugi offered them to Jou, but he motioned for Yugi to get in and whispered almost soundlessly, "Get in and put it in neutral. I'll push it to the street. Keep the lights off and don't hit the breaks. Let it stop by itself." Yugi slipped into the driver's seat, glad that he'd remembered to take the bulb out of the interior overhead light. Keeping his foot off the brake, he slid the shift into neutral and gripped the wheel tight. In just a second, the car started to roll forward. It took more strength than he thought it would, but he was able to steer the car through the gate and out to the street. Once on the street, he let waited for it to come to a stop. After just a few seconds, he realized that instead of stopping it seemed to be gaining speed. A block down the road, just when he was going to hit the breaks, the passenger door wrenched open and a running Jounouchi dove into the seat. "Start it. It'll start in neutral," he rasped through panting breaths. Thankfully, the engine caught first try. Instantly, he flicked on the lights. "I... Are you okay?" Still huffing, Jou nodded and, after a moment, huffed, "Neighbor was taking the trash out. They didn't see me, but if you had started the car they would have seen us leaving the yard." "Oh I didn't see him." "Her. A real nosy old biddy. And she was in the blind spot." He hesitated for a secon.d "So you know how to get where we're going? 'Cause I don't." "Yeah, I Mapquest searched directions and memorized them. We have about a thirty minute drive." Anxiously, Yugi glanced at the blond. "We could get there quicker, but we should really obey all traffic laws. We don't want to get pulled over." "Heh no joke,” Jou muttered. Settling back in his seat, he left it up to Yugi. He deliberately didn't try to distract him with conversation. Yugi was a nervous driver and talking upset him at the best of times, and this definitely wasn't a 'best time.' He maintained his silence until they left the city and were climbing steadily up into the mountains. "Eh Yugi? Ya sure ya know where we're going?" "Yes. It's a mountain pass bridge. We're almost there. It should be a few more minutes." Yugi didn't take his eyes from the road as he forced a reassuring smile he wasn't sure Jou could see. The terrain was not what he'd been expecting. A mountain pass this close to the city was usually foothills and not towering mountains with steep sided cliffs. This was an exception. If he didn't know he was close to Domino, he would think he was near Mount Arafune. Sheer rock cliffs rose out of dense vegetation that crowded the winding road. Street lights were a thing of the past and Yugi swore he saw a large, dark shadow moving just ahead of them although who would risk this road on a dark, moonless night was beyond him. Ten minutes later, just as he rounded a hairpin turn he realized exactly how silly he was being about the dark shadow because a pair of headlights speared them as another car, going the opposite direction, cruised past. Another turn and he saw the dilapidated sign that marked the entrance to the bridge. Pulling as close as he dared to the entrance, he cut the engine and lights, and whispered, "We're here." "Here? But... where's th' bridge?" Yugi laughed slightly. "It's a foot bridge. Didn't I tell you?" Yugi knew he hadn't. Jounouchi was surprisingly squeamish of a lot of things. Bridges didn't send him into a full blown panic, but they did make his gruff voice raise an octave. Of course, the blond always passed it off as a joke, but Yugi didn't think so. "A... a... f...f..foot bridge?" Sure enough Jou's voice rose a notch and cracked. Deliberately offhand and bracing, Yugi opened his car door as he answered, "Yeah. Pretty cool too from the pictures. Three boards wide with wire hand rails. Perfect for what we need. Even if they suspected that your dad's body came from upstream, him falling from the bridge would explain his death and his... bodily damage." Tone changing from bracing to commanding, he ordered, "Pop the trunk and lets get this done." If Jou wasn't going to be strong, Yugi knew he would have to be. Deliberately, he closed the car door and, after a moment, the distinct click of the trunk lock disengaging came. Good, Jou was working through his fears. In just a few moments, they had the body unwrapped and, after a few minutes discussion, Jou was dragging it along the ground on his once-area rug. Yugi followed close behind clutching the dismembered arm. Jou's first glimpse of what Yugi called a bridge made him twitch with the need to run screaming in the opposite direction. Thin, rusted metal wires supporting warped, broken wood planks, handrails made of the same rusted strands swayed in rhythm with the howl of the wind through the trees far below. It was eerie and, to Jounouchi, a scene from his worst nightmare especially when combined with the corpse of his father riding behind him. He must have frozen in shock and fear because Yugi asked, "Jou, is something wrong?" "No," he started to speak only to break off and clear his throat. He did not squeak like a frightened six year old girl seeing a spider. Squaring his shoulders and stiffening his backbone, he grabbed his courage with both hands. He was Jounouchi Katsuya! He was third ranked duelist in the world. He'd come through things much scarier than a bridge that looked like it could fall at any second. Fuck, he had died before and damn it he'd fucking killed just in the last twenty-four hours. He was not afraid of no damn bridge. His voice hard and firm, he said again, "No, I'm good. Let's do this." It was that determination that carried him out to the midpoint in the bridge where the wind howled loudest, tugging sharply when his makeshift travois caught on the broken wood and frayed wire. "Aww... fuck." Jou yelped as he overbalanced, dropping the ends of carpet as his arms windmilled trying to catch his balance. He yelled louder when he realized he wasn't going to to regain his footing. "Yugi...!" ***** Shout Outs! Catti: Lol hot fudge? Have you been reading Cupidity by any chance? Gotta love Seto decked out as cupid (with wings, bow and gstring) messing with chocolate.... Tellnoone: Well I didn't mean to imply Winding Road was BETTER - if we were going for BETTER I'd have to say Invitation to Darkness is 'better' but I enjoy Winding Road because of Kissitoe! You will see. Be prepared with tissues though. It will make you cry a bit. bibbiesparks: Thanks for the review.
