Here's my friend's Malikbunny's first fanfic saga of Yu-Gi-Oh! I, Extreme Aku,
am co-writer and some parts are the toned down versions of my Yami Bakura tales. Enjoy
this story, we worked hard on it. :) Please visit MB's great YGO artsite at:

Authors' Note: This is my first Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfic, so please be gentle on the
reviews. The story starts where Serenity's eye bandages are taken off and the operation
was a complete success. Everyone is very happy for her, especially Tristan. Since the
crisis of the operation result was over, he wanted to get Serenity to see him more than
just a friend. He's sure his adorable charm will cause Serenity to fall madly in love with
him easily, but instead she gets a crush on Namu (a.k.a. Marik/Malik)! Tristan finds out
that Namu is not what Serenity thinks he is and tried to persuade her away from the pretty
boy. Also Yugi and Tèa reveal their feelings to each other. Meanwhile, Marik struggles
with his own personal problems with Yugi. Later on the story is based more on Bakura and
Yami Bakura. The story focuses on Yugi/(Yami) Yugi & Marik/(Yami) Marik &
Bakura/(Yami) Bakura mostly, some of Joey, Tèa, and a f Trf Trf Tristan, Duke, and
Serenity. Since I was new to the characters of Yu-Gi-Oh! when I made my first few
chapters, the chara may may be out of character (OOC), sorry for that. I've also based
Yami Yugi (YYugi for short) on how the manga version is more (meaning he's more dark and
sinister than the anime version). Tad bit of yaoi/slash. R/R, please no flames! Enjoy!
Tormented Minds
Serenity couldn't believe how much more beautiful the world was
since she had her operation. It was a bright sunny day as Tristan took her to the park and
that's where she met a new guy named Namu, Bakura's supposedly new friend. Bakura
introduced Namu to them right away. She remembered Joey and Tèa telling her about him and
how much of nice person he was. She had no idea how gorgeous he was until she saw him. The
teenager had long platinum blonde hair and tan skin and wore a lot of gold jewelry. He
wore gold arm bands on his biceps and forearms and three gold rings around his neck. His
gold ball diamond shaped earrings glistened in the sunlight. His lilac colored shirt
matched his enchanting eyes, which had black spike tattoos coming from the corners down to
his cheekbones. He was so exotic looking! At first, she couldn't stop staring at him, then
he said hello to her and she then found her tongue.
"Hi, my name's Namu. You're Joey's sister right?" Marik
said, acting all sweet and innocent. Serenity smiled meekly. "Uh, yes, that's right.
I'm Serenity." Namu smiled back. "That's a beautiful name for a beautiful
girl." he commented. Tristan didn't like this conversation one bit and hastily told
Bakura and Namu they had to leave. "Sorry, guys! Serenity and I have to be elsewhere
now. See ya!" he called, whisking Serenity away. Namu and Bakura watched them go.
Serenity was annoyed that Tristan dragged her away when she was
talking to Namu. "Tristan! Stop pulling me around like a little kid." she said,
yanking herself free. Tristan realized he made a mistake by grabbing her and dragging her
away, but he had to! "I'm sorry, Serenity, but I had to make sure we got there in
time." he said, trying to think up of a good reason why they had to leave so quickly.
"There? Where's 'there'?" Serenity said annoyed.
"Uh, um, over there. At the snack bar, I've got the big case of
the munchies!" Tristan said, pointing to a place that sold yummy food. Serenity's
annoyance melted away. "If you were hungry, Tristan, why didn't you just say so
instead of pulling me away like that? I would have come without you yanking me around like
that." she said, making Tristan feel foolish. "I'm sorry, Serenity. I didn't
mean to drag you around, but I was hungry." he lied, feeling uneasy. He was sure that
if they hung around anymore around that Namu guy, Serenity would have gotten hooked or
something terrible. It was just too horrible to think about. Tristan really liked Serenity
and didn't want anyone takher her away from him.
One day, Yugi was sitting on his bed in his room and was looking
over the Millennium Puzzle. He knew the Spirit of the Pharaoh helped him win duels and be
confident, but he was evil. Sometimes he'd black out and then find himself somewhere else
like a smelly bar and be half drunk or smoking. Once he snapped out of a trance and was
holding a bloody knife, plus his clothes were covered in blood. He was so upset ovhat
hat
episode that he didn't come out of his room for a week.
He wished he could stop the Pharaoh when he took total control, but
he couldn't anymore. He was afraid he'd get in serious trouble if he didn't stop the
evilness. It was getting harder to control addiaddictions that Pharaoh cursed his body
with. How embarrassing! To need to satisfy those monstrous cravings was destroying his
innocence. "I've got to get rid this puzzle and forget all this. I don't need to duel
anymore." he said, but almost instantly he felt the Pharaoh's presence. "You
will never stop dueling, Yugi. You must remember me and keep my memory alive! Don't you
even dare to think about giving up. You NEED me. Remember the heart of the cards...!"
The Pharaoh's rage rampaged through poor little Yugi's mind, disturbing him. His brain
hurt and he wanted to scream to release the tension of pain building up inside of him. It
got so intense that he, without any control, grabbed his pocket knife to cut his wrist.
The shock of the blade cutting his tender flesh scared him, but the Pharaoh promised
things would be fine. Then he forgot about quitting. He then got a weird funny happy
feeling throut out his being. His eyes glazed over happily gazing into the puzzle as he
caressed it lovingly. "I will always protect this Spirit and guard it with my
life."
Suddenly there was a knock on his door. "Yugi? It's me. Let's
go." It was Tèa. She came to takgi ogi out shopping for fun. Yami Yugi went to open
the door. "Hi, Tèa." he said, not bothering to hide his bloody wrist. Tèa
noticed it and was worried. "Yugi, your wrist..." she began. Yami Yugi shrugged.
"What about it?"
"It's bleeding all over the place. What happened??" Tèa
questioned him, worrying more and more. "Nothing. I'll go and bandage up if it'll
make you happy." he said coldly and headed towards the bathroom. Tèa felt uneasy.
Yugi never acted that cold before, at least not often. And especially not to her. She
waited at the front door for him and soon he came with a knowing smile. "I bet you
thought I was serious a little while ago, huh? I was just kidding around. That was fake
blood on my hand you saw. You should have seen your face! Hahaa!" he teased, being
playful.
Tèa breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, youtle tle jerk! You
really had me worried, Yugi Mutou. Don't ever trick me like that again!" she laughed,
happy things were okie again. But really they weren't...far from it. Tèa didn't mind Yugi
being Yami, except for when he did perverted things that drove her nuts. Tèa was sure
that she didn't need to worry much, Yugi usually acted like his old cute self even as
YYugi. She thought he was like a cute kid in a candy store when he found his favorite
manga in the comic shop. Next it was time for clothes shopping; the weird thing was that
Yugi enjoyed shopping for clothes. He helped Tèa pick out a great outfit for the upcoming
fund-raiser dance.
There were a nice assortment of punk chokers on the far wall and
they went over to inspect them. Yugi took down a black choker with rows of mini spiked
silver metal diamonds on it. There were wristlets to match too. "I think I'm going to
get these." he said, getting a set. Tèa noticed some gold arm bands and showed him.
"I guess I can have more of these." YYugi said, taking two gold bands. Tèa
opened her small purse to check on her makeup supply and she realized that she was low on
mascara. "Hey, Yug, I've got to get some mascara, you wanna wait here?" she
asked, knowing he'd need some as well. He never bought any himself, he always got Tèa to
get it for him. It was a new punk fad for boys to fancy up their eyelashes, plus Ancient
Egyptians did it as well. "Yeah, I'll stay here. Don't forget to get me some
too." he said, fitting the choker around his neck to see if it fit well.
"No problem. I'll be back in a while." she said and left.
YYugi admired himself in the mirror holding the choker around his neck. He prided himself
on how pleasing his features were and smiled, almost evilly even. If he was just several
inches taller, things would be perfect. He bought his things and Tèa's stuff, thinking
about the dance. He wanted to ask Tèa to the dance but he was afraid it'd ruin their
friendship if she didn't feel the same way he did. He was sure his flirting would be a
good enough hint, but he couldn't be sure. She never flirted back much, it made him uneasy
and unsure. He was about to leave the store when he ran into Bakura and Namu. "Yugi,
fancy meeting you here!" Bakura said, happily. "I want you to meet Namu. Yugi,
Namu. Namu, Yugi."
"Hello." Namu said politely, sticking his hand out. YYugi
grinned and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you." The light blonde teen acted shy.
"Namu, Yugi's the top duelist I told you about." Bakura said. Namu acted all in
awe. "Really? Wow..."
"Yes, that's me. Namu, do you duel too?" YYugi asked. Namu
nodded. "I do, but I'm afraid I'm not very good." he lied, fighting back the
urge to laugh like a maniac. "Don't worry, I wasn't real good either when I started.
You'll do fine." YYugi assured him.
"Excuse me? Can I speak with you?" a voice said. The boys
turned to see a young woman about Mai's age. She had fiery red hair and pale white skin.
She wore expensive fashion designer clothes. She seemed a bit taken back when she saw the
teens up close. "Oh my! I'm so sorry. I thought you were girls.t; st; she said,
embarrassed.
YYugi was annoyed by that comment. Sure he wore mascara for the fad
and the fact Ancient Egyptians did too, but that was it. He didn't have long hair or wear
earrings, how could that woman make such a mistake? Maybe she had meant it for Bakura and
Namu. "You thought we were girls?" Bakura asked, putting his hands on his hips.
He was clearly annoyed like YYugi. YYugi wasn't sure, but he thought he saw Bakura's hair
flair up and his voice seemed threatening. Namu just looked at the woman like she was a
nutcase. "I know it sounds bad, but I don't mean it like that. I mean that you three
are very acceptable for my modeling agency. My name is Ms. Pez. You see, I've been looking
for models for my company's new clothes line and I need new fresh faces and looks. I need
both females and males actually. Let me take you to my office to get you all registered
and set up." YYugi was about to protest that he had to wait for Tèa, but she finally
showed up then. "Hey, what's going on here?" she asked. "Oh, hi, Bakura,
Namu. Who's this?"
"Hello, my name is Ms. Pez, I'm a modeling agent for the NewAge
Modeling Company. I was talking to your friends about becoming models. Would you like to
be a model too?" she asked. Tèa blushed. "Me? Sure, why not?" she said,
knowing a job as a model would sure beat her crappy part-time job at Burger World. She
couldn't believe her luck!
"Great. I'll take you to my office, it's not too far. Come
on." Ms. Pez said, taking them to her brand new Mercedes Benz. Yugi was back to his
old self again and acted extremely cute and sweetly innocent. He wished he had a cool car
like the one he was sitting in then, but maybe he could get one since he was going to be a
model. Grandpa wouldn't be able to stop him from buying one since it'd be his own money
that he earned. Bakura sat next to Yugi and Namu sat next to Bakura. Tèa sat shotgun in
the front seat.
Soon they saw the NewAge Modeling stronghold and it was enormous.
Tèa felt excited butterflies in her stomach. 'This is too cool!' she thought. Later when
she parked her car, they followed Ms. Pez into the building to her office. She got them
signed up and registered in no time. Tèa still couldn't believe her luck, this was too
great! She looked at her friends Yugi and Bakura, she never really thought of them being
modeling material. But when she thought about it more as she looked at them, she could
easily see why Ms. Pez picked them. They were both very pretty. There was no question why
she picked Namu as well. He was extremely exotic looking and had beautiful uncanny perfect
features.
Tèa admired Yugi again, she favored him since she knew him since
they were kids. She felt like he was like a brother to her, but lately, she didn't feel
that way anymore. She began to feel different towards him, like he was a boyfriend. But
she was afraid to let him know her feelings, things wouldn't be the same. Especially if he
didn't feel the same way for her. Their friendship would become awkward then. She didn't
want to risk that.
Ms. Pez took their measurements and gave them each a small magazine
of the latest fashiand and business cards. "You're all set. Remember your
appointments next week, that's when you'll get to model the new fashions. Plus, you get a
30% discount on the new clothes. I'll drive you back to the mall now."
This time Namu sat next to Yugi and Bakura was on the other side of
Namu in the backseat. Since Yugi had the window seat, he stared out at the passing
scenery. So he didn't know Namu was feeling his hair until he felt it. "What are you
doing?" he asked gruffly. Namu stopped petting. "Just wondering how you get your
hair like that." he said, but Yugi didn't like that look he saw. "Well, just
don't touch my hair again." Yugi said cautiously and tried to create space between
them. Namu turned to Bakura and reached out to hold his Millennium Ring that hung around
his neck. "You should let me wear this, Bakura. It's so pretty." Namu said, in a
weird tone. Yugi listened to them while he stared out the window."I guess you can
wear it, for a little while." Bakura agreed, taking it off and giving it to Namu. The
blonde teen held the ring for a while and his eyes seemed to glaze over. Bakura seemed to
get angry all of sudden and yanked it away from him. "I changed my mind, this is
mine. You have your own, so don't touch mine." he said rather meanly. Yugi was
surprised to hear Bakura sound so vicious and say Namu had a Millennium item too. Yugi
looked at them.
Namu looked like he was struggling to control himself from doing
something violentkurakura had a terrible hateful expression on his face that worried Yugi.
Tèa was worried as well since she heard Bakura's angry words. "Um, are you okie back
there, Bakura?" she asked. She looked anxiously at Ms. Pez, who was listening to
music through headphones. Tèa didn't know how safe that was to do while you are driving,
but she'd rather not have her hear boy boys fighting.
"Oh, I'm fine, Tèa. Why do you ask?" Bakura's voice was
kind and gentle again. Yugi knew something was up. 'Could his spirit be like mine? Evil?
Can't he control it? Maybe not...' Yugi wondered.
"That's good. Don't want you guys fighting back there. Be good
little boys." she teased. Namu smiled wickedly. "We are being good little boys
aren't we, Bakura?" he said in a knowing voice. Bakura grinned back. "Of
course..." The two laughed and Yugi didn't like it. 'They're up to something!' he
thought.
Ms. Pez dropped them off at the mall's parking lot. "I'll see
you next week!" she called as she drove away. Tèa didn't hide back her feelings on
the matter any longer. "WHEEE! Yes yes! I'm going to model for real! This is so cool!
Goodbye Burger World forever! I can't believe I'm gonna be a model!" she cried,
dancing about. "Naturally. You're beautiful, Tèa." Namu said charmingly.
Yugi frowned. Sure that comment was true, but he should be the one
saying that, not Namu. "You're mistaken. She's more than beautiful, she's beyond all
that. She's like a goddess...to me." Yugi said, feeling heat on his cheeks.
Bakura smiled cutely. "How adorably sweet! Yugi, that is such a
charming thing to say. How true too." The white haired teen tucked his ring into
shirt and then slapped his hands together in a friendly mood. "Well, now, let's say
we all have a bite to eat, hm?"
"Yeah, I'm starved!" Namu said excitedly, fluffing his
hair out. Tèa stared at Yugi, did he say what she heard him say? She was like a goddess
to him?? Did that mean..? The blush on Yugi's cheeks seem to confirm it was true. He liked
her too! She never felt so happy before. She was going to be a model and Yugi liked her
back. This was just too perfect!
Meanwhile, Yugi was debating whether or not he had proven himself to
Tèa. She didn't say anything. Nothing at all. He felt foolish and embarrassed. All she
did was stare at him funny. 'Oh, I'm dead. She hates me!' he thought with immense sadness.
'She'll never speak to me again!' He felt like crying. <<Aww! Cutie!>>
Bakura lead them to a nifty snack bar outside the mall. Amazingly,
they found Joey and Serenity there. "Hi guys! Joining us for a snack, eh? Tristan
went to get me more fries. Hopefully the big lug will be back soon, if he doesn't get
lost." Joey said, stuffing some chips into his mouth. Serenity gazed happily at Namu.
"Hi, Namu..." she said shyly.
"Hello." Namu answered, being all around friendly. Bakura
beamed like a crazy nut. "This is just great! We can all eat together, how wonderful!
Joey, how did your latest duel go?" he asked, cutely bubbly and cheerful. "Aw,
man, it went great! I creamed that other guy, he didn't know what hit 'im!" Joey
said. The two chatted while Serenity and Namu talked about a different subject. "Um,
so who are you taking to the dance, Yugi?" Serenity asked, hoping Namu would get
interested in going and taking her along.
"Er, I-, I-" Yugi stuttered. He wanted to take Tèa, but
he was sure she hated him now. Namu spoke up then. "Why, he's taking Tèa, isn't that
right Yugi? He admitted his love for her right in front of Bakura and me. Isn't that
sweet? Naturally, he's going with her." He gave Yugi a sly look. Yugi wished he could
disappear, he was dying from embarrassment and shame.
Tèa was so happy that she finally said something about it. "I
dunno yet, Namu. Yugi didn't ask me just yet. I'm waiting for him to though. I'm going to
say yes." she said, smiling like a goon. Yugi squeaked in surprise. Did this mean...?
"Well, go on and give her a formal proposal." Bakura said,
since he and Joey we now listening in. "Yeah, Yug, just ask her. Can't be thoughough,
buddy." Yugi's cheeks were bright pinky red. His eyes shifted from the floor to Tèa.
He was so nervous even though he knew what the outcome would be. tha than anything, he
was embarrassed. But he had to ask her to make it official. He wished his yami would help
him out, but then at the same time, he didn't want some old Spirit help him get his girl.
"T-Tèa will you go to the dance with me?"
"Yes, I'd love to Yugi." she said, eyes sparkling. Yugi
felt a lot better and relaxed at last. He could breathe again! "Thanks, Tèa."
he said simply, but he really wanted to tell her how happy she made him feel. Little did
he know, she was thinking the same thoughts. "You're welcome." she replied,
wishing she could express herself, but not with the others around. They smiled at each
other like crazy.
Serenity knew she had to keep the subject alive since Joey tried to
change it to basketball. She had a hard time since her idiotic brother wouldn't lay off.
"You guys should'da been at the last girls' basketball practice. Man, I died happy
that day. Tight panties everywhere you looked when they took the shots. It was
great!" Joey said, thinking many perverted thoughts. "If I only had a camera
that day! Darn it! I could have made good money too selling the tapes..."
"JOEY! YOU SICKO!" Tèa screamed, running over to him to
whack him. "Hey! Ow! Stop it! Crazy dame!" Joey cried, shielding himself from
her fists. Everyone laughed. "Anyways," Serenity said, smiling fondly at Namu.
"Are you going with anyone Namu?"
"Actually, no. Are you?" he asked, his lilac colored eyes
shined beautifully. "Hi! I'm back!" Tristan finally came back with more fries
for Joey and several shopping bags. "About time, Tristan! Where are my fries?"
Joey demanded immediately. "Aw, man, they're COLD! You butthead! When I want fries, I
want them today, not next century."
"Sor-ree! I couldn't help it, there was this really big fat guy
in front of me ordering everything off the menu and it took him forever to get out of the
way. Sheesh! I-" Tristan noticed the others, especially Namu. "Oh, hi guys. What
are you doing here?"
"Just getting a snack, Tristan. We just came back from a
modeling agency and guess what? Yugi, Bakura, Namu, and I are all going to be models this
time next week! Isn't that awesome? I can't quit my job at Burger World finally."
Tèa said joyfully.
Joey laughed and laughed. They glared at him. "I'm sorry, it's
just I thought modeling was for girls. No offense or anything. Are they gonna make you
guys wear pink dresses or what?" he said, wiping tears from his eyes. Tèa stamped
her foot. "I'll have you know Joey Wheeler that modeling is not what you think! The
guys will be wearing the latest fashion of men's clothing."
"Like what? Panties? HAHAA!" Joey teased, slapping the
table. He laughed some more before Bakura kicked him from under the table. "Shut up
you idiot! It's not funny." he growled. Yugi crossed his arms. "Let him laugh,
he's just jealous that he can't be a model. He knows he's too ugly." Yugi said on
purpose to make Joey mad and get back at him for the panties crack.
Namu grinned. "Yes, with that ragged tangled mess of whatever
that is on his head, how can he hope to be pleasing to the eye?" Tristan couldn't
hold back his laughter, he had to admit, that was funny.
Joey growled angrily. "Rrrr! You wanna mess with me, yous?!
Come on you women, give me your best shot!" he said, standing up ready to fight.
"Calm down Joey, they're just kidding." Serenity went up and put her hands on
her brother's shoulders and pushed him back down in his seat. "Yeah, right. Bunch of
girly freaks." he mumbled. Tèa then had to go to the bathroom and Serenity decided
to go with her to freshen up. "We'll be back asap." they promised.
Yugi suddenly felt evil. "Who wants to play a game with
me?" he asked, getting out his pocket knife. He was in the mood for some dangerous
fun since his yami surfaced. "What kind of a game?" Tristan asked.
"Test of courage and trust." YYugi asked, putting his
knife down on the table. It still had his blood on it from before. Namu looked interested.
"Is that blood?" Bakura said nothing, but had an evil gleam in his eyes. Tristan
and Joey exchanged worried glances. Their little Yugi was getting weirder and weirder
lately.
"Yes, it's blood. Mine. See this wrist?" He pulled the
bandages off so they could see the cuts. "I lost my trust in myself and this was my
punishment. Let's see how much trust we have with each other. All you have to do is stab
the knife between the fingers and whoever wimps out loses. The winner will get a free game
from my Grandpa's shop. Want to play?" he asked, picking up the knife and holding it
out. Joey and Tristan refused. "You're freaking me out, Yug. No way I need to play a
game to trust my friends." "Same here." Tristan said.
"Cowards." YYugi muttered under his breath. Joey cocked an
eyebrow. "What was that?" Yugi didn't answer him. "Are you game?" He
looked at Bakura and Namu. Both boys looked hungry for blood. Bakura said he'd rather
watch though so YYugi and Namu did rock, paper, scissors. Namu won. He put his hand on the
table and spread his fingers.
YYugi raised the knife and darted the blade between the other boy's
fingers quickly. Any sane person who have pulled their hand away in fear of an accident,
but not Namu. YYugi stabbed faster and faster. Even though Joey and Tristan didn't like
it, they watched anyway. They wanted to see what would happen. YYugi was hoping Namu would
wimp out so he wouldn't have to buy him a videogame, but he didn't seem to be at all
afraid of being cut. YYugi narrowed his eyes irritably. Namu had this weird crazy look in
his eyes and was smiling.
YYugi stared back at him with a determined expression and quickly
changed the course of the knife from between the fingers into the top of Namu's hand. He
pressed down hard, cutting him severely. Namu didn't flinch or scream or anything. He just
kept smiling eerily, like he enjoyed the pain. Blood seeped out quickly and soon there was
a puddle.
Joey and Tristan glanced at each other again. What's going on here!?
YYugi angrily pulled his pocket knife out of Namu's hand and scowled. "Hmmph!"
YYugi didn't bother to clean the blood off and stuff the bloody knife into his pocket.
Joey swallowed. "Um, Yugi, are you feeling okie?"
Yugi's yami went away for a moment and he shook his head like he was
confused. "I think so..."
As much as Tristan didn't like Namu, he was concerned about the
blood loss. "Er, don't you want to get that hand fixed up? You might need
stitches." Namu looked at his hand like there was nothing wrong with it. "I'll
be fine."
Tèa and Serenity came back then. It didn't take them long to notice
the blood and Namu's hand. "What happened!?" Tèa cried, alarmed. "Yugi and
Namu played some dumb sick dare game. That's all." Joey said, annoyed. What was wrong
with them??
"Yugi, are you alright??" Tèa asked, worried. Yugi looked
at her. "I'm alright. I guess the knife slipped a bit and I cut Namu. Sorry about
that. Come to my house and I'll help you get your hand fixed up." he said. Namu
tightly wrapped some napkins around his hand, but the blood soaked through in no time.
"That's alright, Yugi. I'll be fine."
"I suppose we'll go now." Bakura said, standing up.
Namu stood up as well. Serenity saw her last chance slipping away to ask Namu to the
dance. "Are you leaving too?" she asked, feeling sad. Namu smiled. "I have
to. I'm Bakura's ride."
"Oh yes, he has a lovely motorcycle, it's absolutely raw power.
It's his baby, he shines it everyday." Bakura praised. "Do you want to see
it?"
They all wanted to see the motorcycle, so they followed Namu to his
ride. It was a nice piece of machinery, shiny black finish and chrome. "This is a
cool bike, Nam." Joey said, admiring the craftsmanship. Namu acted modest.
"Thank you. I love motorcycles. Someday, I'll build my own just the way I want it.
But for now, this one will do."
Yugi sat on the seat and pretended to drive it. Bakura got on behind
him and pretended he was riding with him. "Vrooom! RRRRRrrrrrr!" Yugi made a lot
of cute motorcycle noises. Namu didn't like Yugi on his bike, but he didn't say anything.
The time would come later to destroy him.
Bakura shrieked that they were going to crash into a bus full of
'retards' from the school and both boys leapt off the bike and fell into a laughing heap
on the asphalt. "Ka-BOOM!" Yugi screamed and Bakura imitated the 'retards' dying
slowly in funny voices. "You guys are so childish." Serenity giggled.
Since Namu lost so much blood, he felt faint and almost collapsed.
"Namu!" Serenity cried. Tristan grit his teeth. She really did like the guy,
crap! Bakura quickly jumped to his aid. "Did you need me to drive, Namu?" he
asked, holding his friend. "No, I can make it. Don't worry." Tèa thought it was
odd how Namu put his arms around Bakura, like he needed him. That disturbed Serenity, it
also made her uneasy. Weren't Bakura and Namu just regular friends? The way Namu clung to
Bakura it looked like something else! Joey, Yugi, and Tristan also suspected something...
Namu dizzily got onto his bike and Bakura sat behind him. "See
you at school on Monday, guys!" Bakura said. The two drove off then. Joey was the
first to speak. "Is it me, or is Bakura gay? Or has he always been gay? I mean, did
you see how that Namu guy was holding onto him? He didn't even punch him off or anything.
It was like he was cool with all that. Yikes. If some guy touched me like that, he'd be
dead. Gayness is sure not my thing. I just hope they don't hit on me. Come on, let's go
hang out at someone's house. I'm beat."
Serenity wanted to punch her brother. How dare he say what she had
been dreading? If Namu was gay, then he'd have no interest in her. She couldn't believe
how wacked out the world had become. It used to be girls fighting girls for guys, now she
had to fight a guy to get a guy?? Tristan was actually glad Namu was gay, or at least it
seemed like it, then Serenity would be all his for the taking. Tèa looked disturbed.
"That is kinda scary about Bakura and Namu, I wonder if they'll go to the dance
together?"
Yugi shrugged. "Maybe. They wouldn't be the first." Tèa
shook her head. "You're right. Oh well, how about we hang out at Yugi's place for
awhile?" They agreed and walked to the Kame Shop. Yugi's grandpa tried to get them to
buy stuff, but they avoided him like the plague.
They sat around reading mangas and watched a bad B rated horror
movie. "Man, that blood is so fake!" Joey commented every two minutes.
"Would you just shut up!?" Tèa yelled at him after the tenth time. The movie
was over and they decided to watch a R rated movie with tons of killing, drug abuse,
cursing, and sexual scenes. The boys paid extra attention to the sex scenes and the girls
always found those times to either get more popcorn or whack the boys senseless.
"Man, that blood is so FAKE! Booo! Hiss!" Joey yelled,
throwing popcorn at the screen. "Joey, if you don't shut the *beep* up, I'm going to
tan your hide!" Tèa growled, grabbing one of Yugi's discarded leather belts on the
floor and snapping it. Joey was quiet. Tristan lost interest in the movie after half an
hour and was reading one of Yugi's PlayBoy magazines. Tèa eyed the dirty mag meanly.
"Yugi, since we're a couple now, I want you to get rid of that sick 'book' Tristan is
looking at." she demanded. Yugi pretended he didn't hear her. "I know you heard
me, Mr. Mutou. If you don't, I'll burn your hair off." she threatened.
Yugi grabbed a nearby pillow and covered his head with it.
"Spare me your wrath, Tèa. You don't want me bald, do you?" he cowered
playfully. She kept a stern face. "Yugi Mutou, I'm warning you..."
"Okie, okie. Tristan, you can have it." he said,
feeling a loss for his mag. Tristan punched the air. "Cool!" Joey went over to
inspect the mag. "No fair! I don't have this issue! Give it here, Tristan." He
grabbed the mag but Tristan wouldn't let go. "Forget it! Yugi gave it to me, so you
can't have it!" he cried, fighting to win it back from Joey's grasp.
"I just want to look at it, come on! Do a brother a favor and
just let go, you moron!" Joey and Tristan began to play tug-a-war with the mag until
it ripped in half. "Now look what you did!" Tristan yelled.
"What I did!? Look what you did, you big doof!" Joey
yelled back. It wasn't long before they were killing each other. Serenity somehow got the
boys to shake hands and each got to keep half of the mag. Tèa rolled her eyes.
"Boys!" she grumbled. Yugi was rubbing his eyes since some of the dried mascara
fell off and got stuck in his eye. "Oh great, I hate it when this happens." he
said. Tèa knew what it was like herself and helped him. "No, no, stop rubbing like
that. It'll get worse."
"What's wrong, Yugi?" Joey asked as he and Tristan went to
inspect their little friend. "Some stuff got into my eye, don't worry about it."
he said quickly. He did not want them finding out he was wearing mascara. They would tease
him forever about it. Even if it was a fad and what Ancient Egyptians wore, they wouldn't
understand. They didn't do punk or care about Ancient Egypt stuff like he did. He knew
they would label him a girly girl when he was not. Joey wouldn't stop bugging him and
noticed the 'black tears'. "Hey! Is that mascara!!?" he cried, choking back a
strong laugh. Tristan went to look. "Really? Is that what you're wearing Yugi?
Mascara?" he asked, fighting back the urge to laugh hard.
Yugi was once again embarrassed. His yami returned with the rage he
needed to release. "Shut up!" he growled in the Pharaoh's voice. Tèa gave him a
wet tissue to wipe up. Joey and Tristan laughed and laughed. "It IS mascara! Oh, man,
Yug! That's so gay! You're just like Bakura now!" They danced around, pretending to
be girly-like.
Tèa frowned at them. "He's not gay, you jerks! He likes me and
I'm a girl. So he's not gay!" Joey snickered. "Who says you're a girl? You have
more chest hair than all of us combined! You man thing, you!" he cracked, not serious
about what he said. But Yugi was furious. "WHAT!? How dare you say that about Tèa!
Bastard!" YYugi yelled venomously.
Joey was taken back by his friend's anger. "Yo, Yug. I didn't
mean it like that." he said, putting his hands up. YYugi clenched his teeth and
balled his fists. "Come on, Yugi, we were only fooling around. Joey didn't mean it
and you know that." Tristan assured him. Tèa was shocked to see such hatred in
Yugi's eyes. He looked like he was ready to really kill Joey!
For a moment, they all stood frozen, unsure and the tension in the
air was thick. Then Yugi shook his head and sat back down. He felt very uneasy again. 'I
don't think I can control this Spirit inside of me anymore. It's getting too hard.
Everytime I try to stop it, I black out or it just does whatever it wants with me helpless
to do anything about it. I barely got it to back down now. I don't want the Spirit to use
the darker side of me to rule over my body completely... I'd die if I hurt another person.
But I can't part with my puzzle. It's a part of me...' he thought, squeezing the puzzle
between his hands hard. The points stabbed into his flesh, but he didn't care. He didn't
like being afraid. "I know you were just kidding Joey. I'm sorry I got mad. Don't kid
around about stuff like that, okie?" Yugi said in a soft voice.
"Sure, buddy, no problem. Hey, I'm sorry too. That was a lame
bad joke. Sorry Tèa." Joey could tell something was wrong. Yugi sounded so
frightened. Like he was frightened of himself? 'Poor Yug, he's lost his sense of humor.'
he thought sadly. Unfortunately, that was not what Yugi lost, not at all...
Marik looked at the wound in his right hand he got from YYugi's
stabbing game. 'I won that game and he didn't even give me that free game he promised.'
Marik thought. His eyes narrowed deeply. 'I know it was you, Pharaoh, inside Yugi the
whole time. Controlling his body like a mere puppet to do your sickening evil. I will get
my revenge on you for what you've done to me.' Marik decided he'd pay Yugi a visit.
A half an hour later, Marik went to the Kame Shop. Yugi's grandpa
let him up to Yugi's room. Cute little Yugi was listening to J-pop music while during his
homework. Marik just walked in since the door was open. He nearly slipped on a toy truck
on the floor. Marik glared at the toy angrily. 'I never got any toys in my childhood! How
unfair for this complete fool to have such a happy life when I never even got a chance to
have one!" He kicked the truck hard and it flew off into the midst of all the other
toys Yugi had strewn about his room.
Yugi didn't hear the truck collide with his other toys and didn't
even know Marik was there. Namu went up behind Yugi and covered his eyes with his hands.
"Guess who." he said playfully, acting friendly. Yugi laughed. "Um,
Tristan? No? Joey? Nah, your hands are way softer than his. Bakura?" he teased,
knowing it was Namu.
"Come on, Yugi, you can do better than that." Namu had to
fight hard not to dig his eyes out. "Of course, it's you isn't Tèa?" Yugi
giggled. Marik sighed. "No, it's me, Namu." Marik said.
Yugi turned around to see him. "Wow, it really is you. I would
have never guessed." Marik seriously wanted to punch him in the gut, but he kept his
fists to himself. "Didn't you forget to give me that prize I won?" he asked,
hands on his hips.
"Oh yeah. That." Yugi said glumly. "I was kinda
hoping you'd forget about that." He sulkily went to his cute blue piggy bank to empty
it of its riches. Yugi was slowly counting out the money in unhappiness when Marik
embraced him from behind. "You know, if you can't part with that money to buy me a
game, you can always give me something else..."
"Namu, get off of me. I don't care about the money, you can
take it and buy the game you want." Yugi pushed him off. Marik crossed his arms.
"I don't really need or want tame, ame, Yugi. What I want is your Millennium Puzzle.
Give it to me." he said, reaching out his wounded hand.
Yugi frowned and put a hand on the puzzle. "I'm going to have
to ask you to leave, Namu." he said, narrowing his eyes. Marik frowned as well.
"I said give it to me."
"No! I promised you a free game and that was it! I never said
you were entitled to my puzzle. Now get out of my room!" YYugi yelled, pointing to
the door. Namu smiled evilly. "Make me."
"I will." YYugi said, digging through a drawer to get his
hunter's knife. "We can play another game, Namu. You can try to get the Millennium
Puzzle from me and I'll try to get you to leave. Whoever draws blood first wins.
Agreed?" Marik pulled his Millennium Rod out from his belt he was hiding behind his
back. He unsheathed the dagger from it.
"Gladly." Marik said, smiling evilly. "I'll be the
first not only to draw blood, but to drink you dry, Yugi Mutou." he purred, his eyes
glassy with hatred. YYugi smiled back. "We will see, Namu."
"Let me let you on a little secret, Yugi. My name is Marik
Ishtar. You already know me. You cursed me with your memory into my back, scarring me for
life." he said angrily, as he stripped his shirt off to show his back to Yugi. The
Pharaoh's Memories stared back at him. Yugi looked away, feeling guilty. He felt like he
was responsible, when he really wasn't. "I was denied a normal life, I had to fill my
childhood days with keeping your memory alive. I hated it more than anything! I suffered
all my life because of you! I killed my father because of you! Now, I'm going to kill you
for what you made me do to my father!"
"I'm sorry, Marik. I never meant you any harm. Like I mean no
harm to Yugi. It's important that my memories are remembered. Since you have dared not to
accept, then you deserved to suffer. I am the Pharaoh and I rule over all." YYugi
said, blocking Yugi's soul from the fight. He would remember nothing about Marik being
Namu or that he wanted the puzzle. The boy must die!
The two teens circled each other while they spoke, taking quick and
cautious jabs at one another. "You will never take this puzzle from this body as long
as I use it as a host, foolish boy. I'm glad I hand-picked you to suffer. I will torment
you for your betrayal. The hatred you radiate to me is enough to rival the heat in Hell; I
shall return your feelings a thousand-fold!" YYugi yelled, his eyes wild with
bloodlust. Marik didn't back down one bit. "Once I kill Yugi and Bakura, you will be
forgotten forever! I will be the new Pharaoh and MY memory will be remembered instead! I
will be supreme ruler for all time!" Marik roared, his eyes wild with insanity and
murder.
At the same time, both blades went into each boy's gut. They stood
there, trying to shove their blades in deeper. Blood spilled onto the carpet and onto
Yugi's toys. YYugi finally backed away and took his blade with him. Marik's dagger's blade
pulled out of Yugi's gut when he backed away. They both panted hard, trying to catch their
breath. Each held their wounds and glared at each other viciously. "Y-you think
you're stronger than me? I didn't even need my yami to face you." Marik said,
noticing the pain now. It was terrible. YYugi smirked. "You little fool. I'm not
seriously hurt like you are. I'll be fine. Your yami won't waste it's time saving you,
you'll die here and now."
Marik bit his lip to stop himself from screaming obscenities.
"You know nothing... Nothing... Nothing!" he cried harshly. He broke down and
tears seeped from his eyes. Yugi came back and gasped in horrible pain. "UGH! W-what
happened?.. What?..!?...What happened to you, Namu?"
He tried to approach him, but the pain was too much. "Got to
call 9-1-1 or some-...thing..." Yugi blacked out from the pain. Not much later,
Yugi's grandpa heard Namu crying and was horrified to see his grandson and the other boy
bleeding all over the place. He immediately called 9-1-1 and let Tèa know. She was
totally blown away and extremely worried. Her world felt like it was turned upside down.
She called Joey and told him to come to the hospital right away. Of course, Joey told the
rest and they were all at the hospital asap.
Since Tèa was there before them, she got to find out that she
wasn't allowed to see Yugi because she wasn't a relative. She insisted she was the closest
thing to a relative. "I'm his friend! They count as a family member!" she had
protested. "I'm sorry, miss, but only blood related relatives are allowed to see a
patient. You can wait in the waiting room if you'd like to." the secretary had said.
Tèa fought back tears as she retreated to the waiting room.
The rest of the guys came and so did Serenity. "Where is he?
Where is he?" Joey asked frantically. Tèa shook her head. "We're not allowed to
see him, because we're not blood related." Tristan made a face. "How uncool is
that?"
"I think that's terribly unfair, if you ask me." Bakura
said, shaking his head in distaste. "I'll say, we should just go in and see him
anyways. I'm gonna." Joey said, going to some doors and then stopped. "Um, which
room is he in?"
