A/N: Hey y’all! It’s Agami here with the next chappie of Monarch’s Bite. So far this is seeming to progress fairly well. My plan is to start up each chappie with some Mobium before going through the roster of the other ships. Hopefully that sounds good with y’all. Hehes
I hope you all enjoy what happens this time. Please remember to vote, drop some kudos, etc. along with leaving some nice reviews. Your feedback is always appreciated.
Chapter 3: Mist
A while later when Yugi woke up he felt different. Everything had been feeling as if on fire for such a prolonged amount of the sands. Flickering his eyes open revealed the amethyst orbs though they’re now flecked with crimson. His skin has paled considerably along with his temperature dropping to the frigid levels. Confusion hit him first before his memories came back in a flash. Sitting bolt upright, stronger hands steadied him. Relaxing within his supposed mate’s grasp, his other one placed a full glass of ruby liquid to his lips. Being ordered to drink, he did as commanded to regain his strength. When he finished, Atem pulled the empty glass away to settle it back down on the table nearby.
“How are you feeling?” Asked the smooth baritone voice of Yami, feeling it rumble forth through his chest.
“I’m not sure,” Yugi tested his voice to find that it worked better along with his senses, noticing everything seemed different compared to how it used to be.
“You’ve been fed for now, but we’ll show you how to hunt soon,” promised Atem, getting up from his chair. “Come, there’s much you need to know before going back to school tomorrow. Your grandfather won’t be concerned with you being here. It’s been preordained for you to become ours.”
“Oh,” the shorter male didn’t know precisely how to feel about being given such information though he guessed it’s comforting to know.
Leading him out of their room down a separate corridor, the two guided him to where they would be heading towards now. Their goal is to inform him of everything that he currently needs to know until dawn. When that happens they’d have to ensure he has the right item to ensure he won’t burn to ashes upon contact with sunlight. Going to their sitting room, Atem opened the door to usher the two inside. Closing the door behind them, Atem made sure that they wouldn’t be interrupted. Having a fledgling means that the first few months can be dangerous. Why? Because those who are newly turned can be unpredictable depending on their personality and such attributes. So far they haven’t encountered any issues. Yet, both know it’s merely a matter of time. Settling down, Atem folded his hands on his lap. Yami settled down in a similarly leather bound chair. Yugi had gone to one in the middle between them. Looking at one then the other, he idly wondered what he would be told now. Obviously his entire world had been pulled right out from under his feet. Dealing with everything being upside down, he hoped that he would be Abel to adjust to all of this without any complications uprising.
“For a while we’ve been waiting for when you would be ready,” began Atem to explain certain information to their newest addition. “Having to search for our missing puzzle piece has taken what feels like almost centuries, but we are pleased to finally have you with us. There’s a specific gemstone that ensures we can be out in the daylight without turning to ashes.”
“It’s known as the bloodstone,” interjected Yami, taking out a chain with said stone on it out from under his shirt to have Yugi examine it fully before putting it back in its place, getting out a spare to hand over to him. “Never take this off your neck, ok?”
“Um, alright,” nodded Yugi, putting it on, finding it oddly comforting to receive something from these two, wondering if they’re not all that bad.
“Aside from that you’ll be safe from being harmed by any of the others in this coven along with others. Having our marks means if anyone does hurt you then they’ll have hell to pay,” said Atem with a small smirk creasing his lips, knowing this is more of a promise than a threat by far, wanting to make sure Yugi’s safety will never be compromised.
“Anything else I need to know? Any rules?” Asked Yugi, gaining a little confidence with having gotten the hang of how the two act around each other and towards him.
“Don’t go out of the nest on your own anytime past midnight,” warned Yami.
“Huh? Why?” Asked Yugi, furrowing his brows in confusion.
“On full moon nights is when the Demon King rises from his pumpkin patch to reap the lands of souls.”

Speaking of which the said ruler of the shadows had been overseeing what’s going on in the mortal plain. His lips twitched ever so slightly in amusement. Having sent his pet out to carry out matters along with visit his siblings, Zorc felt more than pleased with himself. Seeing Akefia on edge for not knowing when he’ll be claimed is merely another part of his game. Dressed in obsidian robes to align well with his skeletal pale skin, he reached over to stroke the scales of his serpent. The purplish black reptile hissed softly in a pleasant manner from the attention given. The ruby eyed man thought over the current and further plans. Causing some chaos and discord always felt like a fun time to him. Brushing a few stray ebony strands of his shoulder length hair out of his face, he continued to contemplate over things.
“Hmmm, the celestial plain must be uneasy of what I’ll do next,” murmured the male with horns atop his head to himself, eliciting a light chuckle. “The poor fools think I’m going to stop, do they? Ah, the angels are so….pitiful…..hopeful….. They should’ve learned their lesson the first time. Isn’t that right, my dear?”
There’s a louder hiss that resonated from his serpent resting across his shoulders comfortably. His expression softened for a split second before returning to its usual stoic mask. Reaching over with his unoccupied hand, he brought up his crystal ball. Gazing into it, he scryed for a few people in particular. After a few moments he settled it back down on its pedestal. Settling back on his throne of bones within the castle nestled deep in the fathoms of the Underworld, Zorc continued on with his duties. Overseeing what goes on here too he knew within a few days time it would be when he could rise to the mortal plain to collect some new additions. The thought of some creatures having escaped doesn’t bother him in the slightest. No, it had been all a part of his plan for the shifters and covens to be released.
“All in good time……ashes of eden will fall to set the nightmare wheel ablaze…”
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie three! Lol, this is kind of a bizarre story, but I love it. Besides, I get to involve my OTP of Ladder which is what matters after all. Working with a threesome ship is odd, but it’s a nice stretch anyways. Hopefully y’all enjoyed what happened this time.
The next chappie will be out whenever I have it finished being written up. Until then please remember to review loves!
